After a small break, actress, Shilpa Shetty was once again spotted accompanying her entrepreneur husband, Raj Kundra at The Super Fight League’s ‘Friday Fight Night’ event held at Filamalaya Studios. Like always the actress looked gorgeous and received a warm welcome and great applauds from the crowd who looked all delighted to welcome the stunning diva.

Speaking on returning to the SFL arena after a break, Shilpa says, “It was so good to be there, a new location and better setup and the energy was so high with the screaming audiences, cheering for their favorite fighters. It was Great fun!”

The room was filled with the chaotic applauds as she walked in with Raj Kundra. Sister Shamita Shetty, Raghu Ram, Ken Ghosh, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Kanchi Kaul among others were also present at this star studded event.

Looks like Ranbir Kapoor is pulling out all stops to create a buzz around his upcoming film, Besharam. Buzz is that RK is taking a month off to promote the film helmed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap.

Ranbir recently flew back to the country after completing Bombay Velvet’s first schedule on time. Currently, he is shooting for the promotional video for the film with his parents, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor.

A source says, “Ranbir is in his elements after giving backto- back hits. This film is an acid test for Abhinav.” The actor had been shuttling between his Sri Lanka sets and the city to do his dubbing for Besharam.

A friend of Ranbir says, “He is very excited about his film with Abhinav and he is making sure he keeps his slate empty for the next month. He will be completing some patchwork and also promote the film.”

But all those who were keen to figure who would be playing the young protagonist on the show had to go home disappointed.

Insiders say the identity of the young actor has been kept strictly under wraps.

Until now. We found out the boy is none other than six- year old Mumbai- based lad, Vishesh Bansal.

Sources say the channel and the show’s producer BK Modi had asked the crew as well as Vishesh to keep a low profile.

A crewmember says, “We are going to show Buddha’s life and hence wanted to cast a child actor to play prince Siddhartha. Vishesh was roped in soon after the first audition. The makers don’t want to reveal his look.”

Even Vishesh’s parents have been asked to keep mum on the matter. “Everyone has a finger on their lips. However eventually we would have to replace him as young Siddhartha is shown growing older in the show,” adds the source.

Alok Nath who played the character of Haveli Ram had started with a 27 year old Haveli Ram and ended with an 80 year old Haveli Ram. This got him a lot of roles of an old man. But Alok Nath has no regret and says, “Everything happens for a good reason and see I am a known actor today. Buniyaad thought me a lot and I am happy.”

This classic TV serial is aired again these days on Doordarhsan every Thursdays and Fridays at 8.30 pm.

The actress is part of Farah Khan’s Happy New Year and the rest of the crew had already reached the desert emirate.

Sources from Dubai say that the actress has also been spotted having animated conversations with her co- star Shah Rukh Khan as she apparently caught up with the latest Bollywood gossip from him.

An insider says, “ She’s had a long holiday and Deepika wanted to get back to work soon. Before going for her vacation, she completed some dress rehearsals. For 20 days, she was entirely cut off from all news from the industry.

She had switched off her phone. But now she is raring to go at work and will also fly down to Goa straight from Dubai for her next project with Homi Adajania.” A unit hand says Dippy’s first shot in Dubai will be filmed today and she is spending her spare time catching up with SRK. “ Dippy sat SRK down and threw a volley of enquiries at him about the fate of their last film together and buzz from the filmi parties.” The actress’ spokesperson confirmed our story.

The serial, produced by Dr. B.K. Modi, shows the memorable experiences and teachings from the life of Buddha.

Everyone, at some point in their lives have read or heard about Buddha. However, intricate details about Prince Siddharth’s life are not known to all. This is what the mega series will be showcasing in their show.

The event was organized at a suburban hotel with a beautiful theme, which was completely in sync with the serial and it gave the impression and the feeling of the life of Buddha to everyone present there.

All the actors of the series were present at the event and were dressed like the characters they will be playing in the show.

The show has been slated to air on every Sunday of the week at 11 am. This time slot was previously in the hands of Satyameva Jayate and prior to this, this time slot was for mythological serials like Ramayan and Mahabharata.

Alok Nath who was known as Master Haveli Ram through Ramesh Sippy’s Buniyaad shares some moments from the sets of Buniyaad. Ramesh Sippy had to show a Lahore backdrop for a few scenes for which they had scheduled the shoot at Filmcity. And one the areas in Filmcity was designed as Lahore. Most of the parts of Filmcity were covered by jungles and often wild animals would visit the sets. Alok Nath recalls an incident, “I remember once we had a lion on our sets with a dead dog in his mouth and we were all panicked and started running to save our live. But then when we think of it now we burst out laughing.”
