Mumbai, April 26th, 2018:  Brooke Bond Red Label Tea and Y‐Films, the youth films wing of Yash Raj Films’, have partnered once again to launch the second edition of the Brooke Bond Red Label Six Pack Band. This time the band features a bunch of six incredibly talented, specially-abled kids with exceptional music skills. A continuation of the globally recognised campaign, this ‘issphesal’ band is all set to break barriers and make the world a better place with its first single, titled ‘Jhakkad Pakkad Dance’. The foot-tapping number was unveiled yesterday by India’s beloved producer-director Karan Johar along with the six band members.
Conceived and produced by Ashish Patil, Head of Y-Films and curated by composer Shameer Tandon, the band hopes to break social barriers and pave the way for an inclusive society, sparking




conversation during the ongoing World Autism Month. The title track will be followed by a launch of six songs as a part of the ‘issphesal’ album, over a period of six months, to bring forward inspiring stories of the six talent powerhouses.

Constantia Flexibles, the world’s fourth largest flexible packaging group, is aiming to double its sales in India within the next five years. This is the result of its recent acquisition of a majority stake in Creative Polypack and its group companies, as well as expansion plans of its existing subsidiary Parikh Packaging.

Through the acquisition, Constantia Flexibles is already India’s third largest flexible packaging group and is expecting to reach the c. 200 million EUR sales mark (INR 1,600 crore) in 2022, through market growth and ongoing investments. The flexible packaging market in India is expected to grow by more than 10 percent in the next five years, driven by the megatrend urbanization and the expansion of the retail sector.

India has become the third largest economy in the world after USA and China, with high single-digit GDP growth, major infrastructure projects in roads and ports, a simplification of the tax system and rising private consumption, especially among the burgeoning middle-class.

Creative Polypack Limited was founded in 1986 and is one of the leading flexible packaging groups in India. It achieved sales of about 75 million EUR in the business year ending March 31, 2018, and currently has about 850 employees at eight production sites in Baddi, Kanpur, Kolkata, Assam and Puducherry, in northern, eastern and southern India.

It manufactures film-based flexible packaging for the food and home & personal care (HPC) industries, as well as paper-based soap wrappers. The company serves the leading domestic and international consumer goods companies in India.

Creative Polypack intends to invest on average 6 million euro per year (INR 50 crore) in new production capacity, as well as other infrastructure, at its Kolkata, Baddi, Kanpur and Puducherry sites, in the coming years. Above all, it plans to double its capacity at the newly-established Assam site.

Before the acquisition of Creative Polypack, Constantia Flexibles was already a leading supplier of film-based flexible packaging for the Indian market since acquiring Parikh Packaging in 2013, which is based in Ahmedabad, western India. It has more than 500 employees and achieved sales of roughly 35 million EUR in 2017, serving the food and HPC industries.

Parikh Packaging is investing a double-digit million euro amount (INR 100 crore) in a new greenfield site in Ahmedabad, which will be home to a polyethylene blown film extruder, high-definition Flexo printing press and laminators that will produce high barrier laminates that can be fully recycled. The extra capacity will come on stream in 2019.

Major FMCGs are demanding the highest level of sustainability for their packaging material and the new investment will help them to comply with upcoming Indian Plastic Waste Management (PWM) regulations that promote only fully recyclable flexible packaging. The investment also fits in well with the Indian government’s campaign Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) to clean the nation.

The DP-DCR 2034 may have been delayed but presents a very progressive outlook to the way real estate business would get conducted over the next 15 years. It combines regulation with parameters of growth drawn out through empirical modelling that is bound to provide the requisite boosters to the market.

Taking EODB forward, the DP-DCR provides special powers to the MC to decide modalities & procedures of approval from an EODB perspective. The FSI benefits have been extended to ongoing projects as well. We welcome the increase in basic FSI for commercial development to 5 which will act as a catalyst for concerted commercial development in Mumbai , besides helping compete other cites of Asia as Financial Hub , thus increasing employment opportunities substantially.

The state has taken the bold decision to retain the 42 open spaces recommended by the standing committee to be deleted and should be commended for keeping SGNP and Aarey Colony out of reach of unscrupulous development. On the other hand, the state has infused additional land parcel for development; the land that falls under No Development Zone (NDZ) category, where the civic body can provide infrastructure, can now be utilised for the purpose of affordable housing as well as creating other amenities under the Special Development Zone (SDZ).

However, we are hopeful that the state/ Mcgm  would address the issue of high premiums for additional FSI , if addressed  well , can bring affordability , as other input ( cost cement , Steel etc )are already going up . Overall, it is a very balanced and growth oriented DP-DCR.

Goa Tourism to roll out two mega events: Grape Escapade and Goa Vintage Car & Bike Festival 2018




Panjim, April 16: Goa being a land of festivals has a lot to showcase to the world and one of the most interesting elements are its festivals.  There’s  a double treat  in the second  fortnight  of April 2018. So pack your bags  and  head to Goa for this double delight.

Goa Tourism is all set to conduct two of its most captivating events, the Grape Escapade  and  Goa Vintage Car & Bike Festival 2018.

Grape Escapade 2018:  India’s much loved  Lifestyle  and  Wine Festival organized by Goa Tourism through   Goa Tourism Development Corporation  (GTDC), the ‘Grape Escapade 2018’, is all set to begin from  April 19- 22  at the D.B. Bandodkar Ground, Campal, Panjim from 6pm onwards.

This is the 14th edition of the Grape Escapade. The four day event is expected to draw lakhs of tourists in view of the on-going summer vacations  and  surge in tourists to the State.

Over the years, Grape Escapade has provided a platform for local enterpreneurs to share expertise, display products, engage in B2B, and offers  tourists and  Goans an opportunity to  savour on flavours from the vineyard, taste Goan food and experience Goa’s traditions and culture.

The event is a celebration of the finest - wine, food, fashion and entertainment. The 4 day festival brings together a host of professionals from the tourism & hospitality industry; hoteliers, restaurateurs, wineries and manufacturers to showcase their premium offerings.

Goa Vintage Car & Bike Festival 2018: Goa Tourism’s Vintage Bike and Car festival is ready to hit the streets  of Panjim  on 29th April  2018  at the INOX Courtyard from 10.00 a.m. onwards.
Various vintage bike and car owners, users, collectors and fans  will parade along with  their prized possessions around the capital city of Panjim.
The vintage bike and car rally will route from INOX courtyard  to  Miramar Circle and  further proceed to Divja circle and head back to  INOX Courtyard  where they will be  on display  till 6.00 pm. This will be followed by a function  to award prizes and  certificates   for various categories  of vintage  vehicles. Some  of  the categories  will include the oldest automobile, most appealing and  the rarest etc.
A fashion show and various other entertainment programmes would be lined-up in the evening to engage the audience and make this event a memorable one.
