THE LEGEND OF HERCULES to release in India on Friday 10th January 2014.

From the illustrious narratives of ancient Greek mythology where mortals and gods collide, comes the story of THE LEGEND OF HERCULES. A reimagining of the hero’s epic origins, the film approaches Hercules’ otherworldly and legendary history from the perspective of a young man struggling with his destiny.

Desperate to free her people from the rule of her vengeful husband and bring peace to the land, Queen Alcmene prays to the gods for guidance. She is granted a son, Hercules, by Zeus, the God of War. As his true identity remains secret, Hercules’ illegitimacy is resented by King Amphitryon, who favors his elder son, Iphicles.

As a young man, Hercules falls in love with the beautiful Hebe, until they are suddenly torn apart by his father’s proclamation that Iphicles shall marry the princess.  Planning to run away and marry his love, Hercules is captured by King Amphitryon’s guards and sent off to die at war. Escaping death, Hercules unites with fellow warrior, Sotiris, on a noble quest to free the kingdom from Amphitryon’s tyranny, win back his true love from his brother’s grasps, and take his place as the greatest of Greek heroes.

Starring Kellan Lutz in the title role, THE LEGEND OF HERCULES is a thrilling action adventure that comes to life at the hands of director Renny Harlin. Mahabharat breaks all records to become highest earner till date.

The animated movie Mahabharat has made a mark on the box office record, highest among all Indian animation films till date.

The movie has set a record by earned 55 lakh on its opening Friday which is by far the highest for any animated movie in Bollywood. The movie has made 1.5crores in its opening weekend.

Animated industry in India is very nascent. There is no benchmark earning as such to talk about in the Indian animated movie industry.

So far only few animations have release in India and did average business, Hanuman which did 5 lakh on day one, Krishna and Kans did 20 lakh, Chhota Bheem (Which is also a famous cartoon series) did 45 lakh on day one, Arjun did 25 lakh on day one and Son of Ram did 5 lakh on its first day.

Mahabharat is the only movie which has set a benchmark with its opening day.

Mahabharat is the biggest star cast film to come out of India. It is India's first animation film that has used expressions as well as voice of stellar actors.

Back then, Daisy Shah had no idea she would get a chance to star opposite Salman himself.

The actress is very thrilled and humbled with the whole life changing experience.

Jai Ho is the first big film to release in the year 2014. It is slated to release on 24^th January, which is a non holiday Friday and it is Salman’s release after a gap of about 1.5 years, which is his longest gap.

18 films has been selected in this list including 14 films from Rajasthan, a Malayalam film Celluloid and 2 Oscar nominated films have been chosen.

A total of 129 films have been selected comprising of all 3 lists.

Jaipur 30 December:JIFF received immense response from the film makers of the colorful state of Rajasthan. The selection process scrutinized to select only few and best films but the submitted films forced us to make select more than the expected number. In comparison to last year 4 times more films have been submitted at JIFF 2014.   Only 12 films from Rajasthan were received in JIFF 2009, JIFF 2013 received 29 films from the state and this year we received 45 films. 14 films from the submitted list have been selected. Out of 14 films, 7 films are in the competition category and the remaining 7 are in non-competition category. All competition category films have been selected by selection committee. 4 films in the Non- competition category selected by JIFF are produced and directed by the members of selection committee. Supriya Ranawat’s Aish Aaram is the only film from Rajasthan screened at JIFF 2014 directed by a woman. JIFF committee has decided to screen this film to motivate the female film makers in the state. Supriya is a student of animation in Jaipur.

 Other than these 14 films, 3^rd and final list includes national award winner, Malayalam film Celluloid and 2 Oscar nominated films - Soongava: Dance of the orchids from Nepal and Horses of God from Morocco.

Another very important film in the list which is based on Rajasthan is Amol Palekar’s Paheli, starring Shahrukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee which would be screened specially this festival.

A total of three list have been released by JIFF which includes 36 feature films, 62 short fiction films, 16 documentaries and 15 animation films. In this list 61 films are from India and the rest 68 films are from various countries like France, Germany, Japan, America, Morocco, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia,  Singapore, Poland, Sweden, Siberia, Greece, Austria, Estonia, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Taiwan, Slovakia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Canada, etc.  This year 1570 films from more than 90 countries have been received by JIFF office, out of which 129 films have been selected.

Last year 217 films were selected in JIFF 2013. The selection process in JIFF 2014 has been scrutinized to match the world level.

The selection committee members of JIFF 2014 includes NiranjanThade, Aarti Srivastava, Manish Vataslya experts from Mumbai and Prasoon Sinha, Dr. Durgaprasad Agrawal, GajendraShrotriya, Gaurav Panjwani, Deepak Gera, Vivek Sharma, Dr. Vibhuti Pandya, Narendra Arora, ParulMathur and Dr. Dushyant experts from Jaipur. After 3 months of careful screening, film have been selected in JIFF 2014

This pretty actress plays a Jeannie in SAB TV’s show ‘Jeannie and Juju’ and wishes to be a Jeannie in reality so that in the blink of an eye she could disappear and be in every corner of the world as she loves traveling and she truly believes in the quote that says-“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page”.  Sticking to the saying she wants travelling to be a part of every chapter of her life.

She wants to roam around all exotic and unheard places and live life like a native of that land to experience the real essence of that place. Catching a train from Europe to Singapore that takes two months is one of her recent whimsies.

Another thing that tops her bucket list is to perfect her Guitar playing skills. She wants to gather all her friends at a beach and sing live for them.

Well, we can’t wish for Rubina to become a Jeannie but we do wish that all her dreams are fulfilled!

STORY.
Walter Mitty is an employee at Life magazine who frequently daydreams of fantastic adventures. Photojournalist Sean O'Connell has sent a special photograph that he says captures the "Quintessence" of Life magazine and that it should be used for the cover of the magazine's final issue. Mitty works in the negative assets department, and has never lost a photo in his sixteen years of work at Life magazine, but negative 25 is missing. Using the other negatives as clues Mitty decides to go in search of Sean O'Connell and find the missing negative.

Ben Stiller has been a wizard as an actor and a maker has a remarkable history of his films, not to forget There’s something about Mary, Night at the Museum and many more this time round has hit the bull’s-eye.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is a milestone of a film, excellent performance by Ben Stiller and co actor Kristen wiig.
A simply adventurous and fantasy filled tale of an employee at Life magazine who is on a hunt for a negative[cover of the magazine's final issue].
In the event of pursue there is some spectacular stunning sequence where he is on a skateboarding, an erupting volcano and fighting off a great white shark.
Movie is all about life and being in love with hopes and imaginings.

Have you been dumped by your girlfriend? Are you pakaoed with routine? Are you stuck in a job? As his character is a person who feels that he is 'pakaoed' in life.

These hoardings have been plastered across the city and have creating a lot of intrigue and hype. The idea was to generate curiosity among audiences and at the same time increase relatability with the protagonist.

Which lead to the turn around of 50 guys whose name are Amit Sharma.

Since I am playing a Bengali girl, and considering Bengali’s have beautiful eyes, we are paying detailed attention to my eye makeup. I would be sporting a high pony in the show. I have always played intense characters; comedy is a new genre for me. But it is fun coming out of my comfort zone and trying new things. I will give my best and hopefully will stand out.”
