Rock On 2 to be shot in Shillong?



The producer of Excel entertainment’s Rock On 2, Ritesh Sidhwani is on a location hunt for the film.

While parts of the film are going to be shot in Mumbai, the script demands picturesque locations with lots of mountains as well.

So Ritesh is on a recce and while Shillong was his frist stop, he moves to Cherrapunji next.

The Meghalaya Chief Minister too is keen that the film is shot there.

Ritesh Sidhwani shares, “Dr Mukul M Sangma is really keen that we shoot the Rock On sequel in the state because the film will get this part of the country a lot of attention. He’s promised us full cooperation.”

Shillong is India’s rock capital and they feel that it is an appropriate place to shoot the film.

Rock On is a cult classic and the sequel will feature the epic trio from the first part; Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli. Shraddha Kapoor is going to play the female lead in the film.

Ritesh adds, “The script can lend itself to any picturesque place away from Mumbai and right now Shillong is a hot favourite. I’ll push for it but eventually the logistics have to work out.”

Suzanna supports AIB Roast




With a mother who is half-Russian and half-Ukrainian and a father who is Bengali, actress SuzannaMukherjee has grown up imbibing the best of all the worlds. Probably that's why Suzanna understands and respects both Indian and western cultures as she’s had a taste of both.

When quizzed about the AIB Roast which has become a subject of much discussion, Suzanna explains, “Though I know, in our Indian culture certain language and jokes are not permissible, the fact is, AIB Roast is a form of comedy which is accepted internationally across all cultures, and not meant to be taken seriously as a criticism or insult. It's a kind of humor. In fact the American roast is much worse, for example, like Jeff Ross Roasts America show or Russell Peter’s roasts are more insulting. I think in India, we need to understand the concept of a roast here. Roasts are not insulting or humiliating as some people think it to be but actually a unique way of honouring the person (Roastee), who is getting roasted (subjected to jokes and insult comedy) and the intention is to amuse the audience (consisting mostly of friends, fans, and well-wishers). I don’t think the AIB roast was meant to hurt or offend anybody. I have seen the video and enjoyed it. We live in a democracy and we should be allowed the freedom of speech. In fact, Karan Johar had come up with the disclaimer at the beginning of the show that those who get easily offended may not like the humor and so they should not watch.” 

As for herself, when it comes to being a Roastee, Suzanna laughs, “I would love to be in the audience but when it comes to being roasted for me, I think it will take some time.”

चोटिल होने किए बावजूद सोनम कपूर ने प्रेम रतन धन पायो का ​स्पेशल सॉन्ग किया शूट।



सोनम कपूर हालही में हॉस्पिटल में इलाज करवा कर लौटी है और इसके तुरंत बाद ही वे शूट पर लौट आयी। सोनम प्रेम रतन धन पायो इस फिल्म  स्पेशल राजस्थानी सॉन्ग के लिए ,कर्जत तक ट्रेवल कर रही है जब की उनके पाँव में चोट लगी हुई है। 

सोनम ने स्पेशल पपेट थीम पर आधारित इस सॉन्ग की शूटिंग तीन रातो से कर रही है , इसी सॉन्ग की शूटिंग के वक्त पिछली रात सोनम चोटिल हो गयी। सोनम एकदम से फिसल गयी और उनकी टखने छिल गए और पाँव में चोट लग गयी। 

​इस सॉन्ग में सोनम पुरे राजस्थानी अवतार में दिखेगी बड़े वजनदार लहंगे और वजनदार चांदी की जेवरात पहने हुए नजर आएगी। चोटिल होने के बावजूद  ​सोनम ने फैसला किया की शूटिंग युही जारी रहेगी ताकि कास्ट और क्रू समय पर शूट निपटले। 

फ़िलहाल सोनम मुंबई में है और चोट से बाहर आरही है , इस घटना के बाद सारा ही क्रू सोनम की प्रशंसा कर रहा था की किसी सोनम ने उनके चहरे पर चोटिल होने की कोई शिकन आने नहीं दी और शूट भी समय पर पूरा करलिया।

Sonam Kapoor shoots despite injury for PRDP's special song !
Sonam Kapoor who was recently hospitalized for a respiratory infection , was back on her feet in no time and travelled to Karjat to shoot a special Rajasthani song for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
The actress who has been shooting for the special puppet themed song for 3 nights in Karjat ,happened to meet with a bad injury last night , as she slipped and fell and ended up hurting her legs and bruising her ankles.
What's more is that the song sees Sonam in a typically voluminous Rajasthani lehenga, with heavy silver jewellery which was exhausting in itself - Despite the injury, the actress decided to continue shooting for the song so that the cast and crew could wrap up on time.
Now that she is in Mumbai, Sonam will tend to her injury - The crew couldn't help but commend her for pulling the song off, without an ounce of discomfort showing on her face

Vivek Oberoi associates with "Children Across Borders" while in the US!



Vivek Oberoi is currently in the United States on a vacation with his wife Priyanka and son Vivaan Veer – The actor who has wanted to make this trip for a while now, was occupied with his professional commitments and after wrapping the schedule of his upcoming YRF film, immediately booked himself on a 20 day long vacation with his family.

While in the US, the actor has also associated with an initiative called "Children Across Borders" , and is working towards raising funds for the international social organization.The charity events were organized in St Petersburg, Florida and Temp.

When contacted said Vivek," I am currently in the US ,enjoying some quality time with Priyanka and my son Veer.Before I get into the next schedule of my film , I wanted to take my family for a much needed vacation. Importantly, I'm here to be part of a social initiative called Children Across Borders dedicated to enhancing the educational and cultural enlightenment of children across the globe."

Chris Bosh loves Abhishek Bachchan’s Dostana and KANK !



Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan recently attended the NBA All-Star 2015 and participated in the Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Feb. 13 at Madison Square Garden as a goodwill ambassador to the league.  Bachchan, a self-proclaimed Los Angeles Lakers fan­­­­, met NBA players and legends while in New York for 5 days and went behind the scenes at NBA All-Star Saturday Night and the 64thNBA All-Star Game. 

Abhishek Bachchan became the first-ever Indian to take part in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.

While in NY, Abhishek also happened to meet Chris Bosh aka Christopher Wesson , an American football player ,who plays for NBA’s Miami Heat and was completely taken by surprise to know that the star footballer has watched 2 of his films and knows quite a bit about Bollywood. Chris spoke toAbhishek at length about Dostana and Kabhi Alveda Na Kehna ,two films he has watched . Sources reveal that Chris visits his friends in Toronto often , all huge Bollywood buffs and on several occasions has watched a couple of movies, including Abhishek’s KANK and Dostana ,huge of the biggest NRI blockbusters.

Kuch Kuch Locha Hai wraps in Goa





18th February 2015, Mumbai: Devang Dholakia’s much anticipated comic caper Kuch Kuch Locha Hai recently wrapped its week long schedule in Mumbai and Goa. The film which is now in its post production phase stars the sizzling Sunny Leone and the lovable Ram Kapoor in never before seen roles. Also joining the lead pair were starlet Evelyn Sharma and Debutante Navdeep Chhabria. During this schedule two key songs and a few scenes were shot.

The film has been produced by Mukesh Purohit from Magic Pictures, K.K Agarwal  and is being co-produced by Maximus Multimedia Pvt Ltd and Riyaz Mohammed. Asha Jhaveri from Japan has joined the film as an associate producer.

Speaking from the sets of Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, Director Devang Dholakia said, ““90 percent of the film was completed in Malaysia already and we have canned two songs and a couple of scenes in the span of 7 days in Goa”.  When the subject of the atypical title of the film was broached, Devang responded with absolutele honesty and a smile, “Simply speaking, My favorite film of all time is Kuch Kuch Hota hai hence the title Kuch Kuch Locha hai”. The comedy with a lot of locha’s will have Sunny Leone essaying the role of an Actress.”

Another unique project under Devang’s belt is the Sunny Leone and Karishma Tanna (of Grand Masti and Big Boss Fame) starrer Tina and Lolo. The movie is produced by Mukesh Purohits’s Magic Pictures and Alumbra Productions. The film is 70 per cent complete. “Karishma was inside the Big Bosses House. We thought she would be in there for 10 days but when she did not get eliminated, we decided to any way start shooting the film. Now when i get her dates again I shall finish the film in April or May in Mumbai within seven or eight days. Two Songs also need to be picturised” said Devang.


2015 is turning out to be a very exciting time for Magic Pictures helmed by Mukesh Purohit with two awaited releases in Kuch Kuch Locha Hai and Tina and Lolo. This has inspired the producer to expand the scope of his banner and he plans to now roll out a minimum of 4 movies a year. Says Mukesh, “I already have a banner, Magic pictures and I also plan on starting a big Production House. I will be signing many directors and writers to work with us.”

‘Wild’ a biographical film based on Cheryl Strayed's 2012 memoir Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail. Director Jean-Marc Vallée and screen writer Nick Hornby create authentic atmosphere of a hiker’s journey and carve a painstaking moments on camera which watching is a meaningful experience.

The film does not delve into any commercialization of the entire journey of Cheryl Strayed to hike for more than a thousand miles of the Pacific Crest Trail instead takes us with her for a out of this world experience which this hikers go through to get into the nirvana of nature cutting themselves out of the social connection.

Technically and emotionally the film has an evenhanded panache to maneuver throughout in Strayed single mindedness decision to overcome the tragedies which she has gone through and find her way to hiking for rejuvenation of her emotional prowess.

It is Witherspoon [ already nominated for best actress in Academy Awards] who has gone into the skin and mind of Strayed and bestow a supreme performance and effort to show the entire journey of a tormented young woman’s will to triumph over the predicament of her mother’s untimely demise and separation from her husband.

Film is strictly not for those who seek to watch an adventurous side of hikers but a serious look into the mind of these loners why they divulge into such trail to salvage out of the disturbing life and to get the sense of right and wrong facts of living.

The electric drive, a powerful 96 kW (131 hp) lithium-ion battery, is located on the front axle. The rear axle is driven by BMW TwinPower Turbo 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with 170 kW (231 hp) of peak performance. The petrol engine combined with the electrical boost of the hybrid system guarantees typical BMW driving pleasure. Together, the two units deliver a total of 362 hp, accelerating the BMW i8 from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds using all four wheels in the process. Running on battery power, it achieves the top speed of 120 km/h with a maximum range of 35 kilometers. In conjunction with the combustion engine, the electric motor takes the e-powered supercar to up to 250 km/h, and depending on driving style the driving range can be up to 600 kilometers. The BMW i8 was conceived from the very beginning to meet the demands of a hybrid sports car. A distinctive feature conceived exclusively for BMW i is the LifeDrive vehicle architecture which significantly contributes towards weight optimisation. It includes the Life module comprising passenger cell made from carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) and the Drive module comprising an aluminium frame for the combustion engine and electric motor, the battery pack and the suspension. With BMW eDrive, the new BMW drive technology, the battery can be charged from any mains socket with a BMW i Wallbox or while driving. A standard accessory, the BMW i Wallbox enables the high-voltage battery to be recharged in less than two-and-a-half hours using a conventional 220 V mains socket.

The four-wheel drive system in the BMW i8 can deploy the power reserves through all four wheels for added traction and control. It uses the high-torque output of the electric motor and the performance of the petrol engine, which arrives via the specially modified six-speed Steptronic transmission. At any time, in any gear, the transmission collaborates perfectly with the engine, enabling it to develop its full power and efficiency.

The Intelligent Energy Management and the driving modes have been tuned perfectly to offer the driver a choice of five different driving modes: the ‘D’ transmission setting in COMFORT and ECO PRO mode, the SPORT mode and the eDRIVE mode for all-electric driving (with a choice of COMFORT or ECO PRO). The vehicle always starts in COMFORT mode, with a balance between sporty and efficient driving styles. Move the gear lever to SPORT mode, and the car automatically becomes more dynamic while when driving in ECO PRO mode, the driving range increases thanks to a particularly efficient driving style that optimises the energy use of both power sources.

These include the next generation of BMW iDrive (the on-board Driver Information System) with touch controller and handwriting recognition, BMW Navigation Professional (integrated Global Positioning System – GPS) with 8.8-inch colour display, 3D maps, full-colour BMW Head-Up Display; Connectivity through Bluetooth and USB devices and Harman Kardon Surround Sound system. So called as the “twisted entertainment” which is all set to release tomorrow has bowled the critics over with Varun Dhawan’s one of the most anticipated film Badlapur.

The makers, who recently scheduled the screening of the film for the industry folks and the critics, are being flooded with congratulatory messages all over! It seems that the film has certainly justified the ample of buzz that it created for itself with the very first release of the teaser.

Kingsman's Colin Firth breaks a tooth while filming!!



Kingsman actor Colin Firth who has won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and two BAFTAs is all set to showcase a never seen before side with his much awaited action film KINGSMAN SECRET SERVICE releasing on 27th February in English and Hindi!!

Based upon the acclaimed comic book and directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick Ass, X-Men First Class), SECRET SERVICE tells the story of Kingsman; a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into his agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius with the cast of Colin Firth, Sir Michael Caine and Samuel Jackson.

The 54-year-old actor, who got an Oscar for 2010's The King's Speech, was recently during the Kingsman promotions whether he sustained any injuries during the shoot.

"I broke a tooth, which was probably the one that was most troublesome. I collided with a hard object. I don’t know whether it was a gun or a pole? I don’t think I particularly noticed [the pain] until later." said Colin Firth laughingly.
