Mumbai, February 2015: The third edition of India Bike Weekwill see an impressive lineup of 20 music artists that are going to perform at the festival. DJ Akhtar - is currently amongst the top three DJs in India since over two decades. He is one of the pioneers of mainstream commercial dance music in India.

Nucleya- started his musical journey towards the end of '90s when he co-founded BandishProjekt. Since then, he has released 14 singles, studio albums and numerous collaborations.

Babyhead - Born out of love for Jamaican Sound Clash, Forged through a do it yourself punkrock ethic and delivered with raw hip hop swagger, the unstoppable babyhead sound is drawn from all quarters of the musical universe, in the true Bristol fashion. They have recorded three studio albums. The Third “HEAVYWEATHER” was released in 2010 on rockers revolt. They have been a live phenomenon in the clubs and on the festival circuit, rocking UK stages from Glastonbury to fabric and world wide from New York Fashion Week to Thailand’s Smileyfest.

Curtain Blue - Curtain Blue is the solo project of Abhishek Bhatia - vocalist of New Delhi based band, The Circus. Since the launch of his project in late 2013, he’s been consistently fusing haunting vocal melodies with downtempo and bass sensibilities, aiming to create a textural blend, which can uniquely be called his own.

DJ Uri - With a career spanning over 4 decades, DJ Uri has been true to the Hip-Hop movement. Born in East London in 1974, his journey has been in full flow since 1982. Influenced by the “Street Sounds Compilations” and the break dance era, Uri has had a solid upbringing being exposed to underground music from an early age.

Sonam Kapoor inspires Suzanna Mukherjee

After Sonam Kapoor another Bollywood actress appears to be heading the fashionista way. Badmashiyaan actress Suzanna Mukherjee has been choosing what to wear and styling herself for all events till now. Her co-star Gunjan Mehra is all praises for Suzanna’s fashion sense. “With her great sense of styling and fashion, Suzanna reminds me of Sonam Kapoor. In fact I have often taken tips from Suzanna myself on styling.” 

But Suzanna prefers not to be compared to anybody. “I have my own distinctive fashion sense. Sonam is definitely more evolved than me as she’s had quite a few years in Bollywood. I don’t consider myself to be a fashionista yet though I do have a keen sense of style. I don’t think I am as good as Sonam right now. I understand fashion and styling that’s all. I can’t take Sonam on for fashion.” she smiles.

The multi-faceted Suzanna admits that she has picked up her fashion sense from her mother who runs a boutique in Chattisgarh where the actress is from. “Mom is a designer herself and good sense of styling and colours.”

Sandesh Shandilya Gets a Standing Ovation for his First Symphony performance in Colonge, Germany.

Sandesh Shandilya Performed his First Symphony Composition “SEARCH FOR BUDDHA”. The World Premier was held on February 6th 2015 at the Funkhaus Wallrafplatz, WDR Cologne, Germany, with the WDR Funkhausorchester and theWDR Rundfunkchor, Conducted by Wayne Marshall. He also performed on 7th February 2015 at Bielefeld, Oetkerhalle. The composition "Search For Buddha" was comissioned by the WDR Cologne.

Sandesh reveals, “It’s a dream for a composer. My symphony, called the Search For Buddha, is based on world peace. I have worked out Hundred hours of music so far for the symphony, I had to connected with the western music.

This began while I was learning the Vipassana course there, three years ago. After a bout of self-discovery, I decided to explore Buddha and his inner journey. Fear, anger and greed need to be controlled. Peace within helps you spread it through your music.”

“I met Markus Stockhaousen — a famous jazz-trumpet player — with my compositions, who then referred me to the organisers of symphony in Cologne. Mine features artistes from all over the world, including from the Middle East and South Africa.

It was an unforgettable exposure, and I wish to perform this symphony in India soon.” With this, Sandesh will add his name to a prestigious list of Indian symphony composers like maestros Pandit Ravi Shankar, Pyarelal and Ilayaraja.

Sandesh also says, “It’s all destiny. People who have worked with me know my sensibility”, all good things come to people who wait, and keep at it.

His last composition for film music was for Ketan Mehta’s Rang Rasiya, a biopic about painter Raja Ravi Varma. “The film released late and didn’t do well, but its music was popular with those who heard it. Especially with my co-artistes in the symphony, who then welcomed me with open arms. Don’t set many rules, we don’t know what awaits us,” he maintains.

Sandesh swears, and adds that he is lucky to have the backing of a few good friends in the Bollywood music arena.

Currently, Sandesh is busy composing for Sudhir Mishra’s Aur Devdas, Time Out, John Abraham’s Satra Ko Shaadi and for Amit Roy’s IPad.

अनुष्का ने एनएच 10 के सेट पर घातक दुर्घटना होने से बचाया।

अनुष्का शर्मा की आगामी फिल्म एनएच १० की शूटिंग ज्यादा तर रियल लोकेशन्स पर की गयी है,ऐसे ही एक लोकेशन पर शूटिंग के वक्त एक दुर्घटना से अनुष्का बची। वह दिन कुछ ठीक नहीं था उसदिन तेज हवाओं साथ दुल की आँधी भी चल रही थी फिर भी क्रू ने शूटिंग जारी रखने का फैसला किया। सीन कुछ ऐसा था की अनुष्का को कैमरा की और दौड़ कर आना था। इस सीन के लिए खास तौर पर मून बॉक्स एक क्रेन  सहायता से १५० फ़ीट ऊपर लटकाया गया था। 

​जब अनुष्का ने शॉट शुरू किया तभी उन्होंने देखा की ​लाइट बॉक्स आँधी के चलते फट गया है और भीतर की लाइट्स झूल रही थी। लाइट्स का वजन तक़रीबन ९०० किलो था और वह क्रू के ऊपर खतरनाक ढंग से झूल रहे थे क्षणों का विलंब न करते पूरी जगह खाली कर दी गयी। अगर बात अनुष्का की नजर न जाती तो कोई भयंकर दुर्घटना संभव थी। 

​वेलकम बैक के सेट पर सांप ,शूट ५ घंटो तक रुका। ​

​निर्देशक अनीस बज़्मी अपनी आगामी फिल्म वेलकम बैक की शूटिंग मुंबई के गोरेगाव  स्थित फिल्मसिटी में क्रू और कास्ट जॉन अब्राहम तथा श्रुति हसन के साथ फिल्म की शूटिंग कर रहे थे तभी उन्हें सेट पर सांप दिखाई दिया। इसके तुरंत बाद शूटिंग रुक सी गयी और जॉन तथा श्रुति को वैनिटी में इन्तेजार करने को कहा गया , श्रुति जॉन और डिंपल सुबह से ११ बजे तक शूट रहे थे तभी सेट पर किसी ने सांप देखा।   ​

​   सांप दिखाई देने के तुरंत बाद सेट पर सर्पमित्र को बुलाया गया और उसे साप को पकड़ने में ५ घंटो  समय लगा उसके पश्चात साप को वाइल्ड लाइफ वेल्फर के हवाले कर दिया गया। सेट को फिर से सेटअप करने और वक्त लगा। सेट पर क्रू यह बात कर रहा था की साप का सेट पर आना शुभ है।    

निर्देशक अनीस बज़्मी कहते है " सांप ने सेट पर उपस्थिति दर्ज करायी।  सेट पर क्रू कहा रहा था की यह पहली बार हुआ है की साप किसी फिल्म के सेट पर आया हो, साप का आना फिल्म के लिए शुभ साबित हो ।

Double celebration for Badmashiyaan actor Karan Mehra

Karan Mehra, whose next release is Amit Khanna’s Badmashiyaan, will be taking some time off from the promotions of the film which releases on February 27, as his sister Kamsin is getting married in Delhi. But it will be a double celebration for the actor (who was last seen in Ragini MMS2 with Sunny Leone) as he will also bring in his wedding anniversary with wife Devika. 

Karan, who comes from Delhi, has taken off a week to prepare for the wedding. “As my wedding anniversary is on February 14, a couple of days before the wedding, I plan to celebrate that too in a big way in Delhi with my wife. I have already planned something special for her,” Karan says.

It cannot be refuted that ‘Pukaar call for the hero’ directed by producer-director Vipul A Shah broadcasting on Life OK is based on an extremely interesting tale of human relations, packed with heart-stopping action! "‘Pukaar’ is a story about human relationships and human emotions so the last episode will be having a fight sequence between hero and the villain on the final stage where obviously the hero wins. In the finale episode, we have done a sea stunt on a rather grand scale. The action sequence on sea was shot along with many junior artists with the help of flying cameras. Another speciality of this sequence is that we shot it on 26th January at Madh Island’s beach where there was a high alert on for the special day and shooting is not permitted. I thank police and navy department for helping us entirely. Generally such stunts are seen in movies by the audience. This is our first chance to bring it on television through ‘Pukaar’. Teaming up with the well known action director Allen sir, Vipul and I have always tried to come up with some new things. This is the reason that we made the last episode as special as a reality show”.

ABHISHEK BACHCHAN TO ATTEND NBA ALL-STAR 2015 AS A GOODWILL AMBASSADOR TO THE LEAGUE

MUMBAI, Feb. 7, 2015 - Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan will attend NBA All-Star 2015 and participate in the Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Feb. 13 at Madison Square Garden as a goodwill ambassador to the league.  Bachchan, a self-proclaimed Los Angeles Lakers fan­­­­, will meet NBA players and legends throughout the weekend and will go behind the scenes at NBA All-Star Saturday Night and the 64^thNBA All-Star Game.  He is poised to become the first-ever Indian to take part in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.

Kishore Kumar, a huge fan of Aamir Khan , cycled all the way from Ranchi to Mumbai to meet the actor. He also bought Aamir hand written letters from the people who he met on the way and helped him reach Mumbai.

Imran Khan: 

The actor was in for a shock when he was bit by a female fan while promoting his film in Dubai on Saturday. A female fan burst through the crowd to meet Imran and caught his hands and started shaking them. Imran reciprocated with a smile, but the fan just refused to let go of his hands. And when Imran's bodyguards swung into action and tried to pull the fan away, the angry lady bit into Imran's hand to stop being pulled away. Imran screamed in pain, but the lady would just not let go even as the guards pulled her away.

While Aditya was away, shooting for his film in Kashmir, he learnt from his team that he had received an unusual letter from a girl from Aligarh, who expressed her wish to marry the heartthrob in the letter using her own blood.

Collecting Urdu poetry books is Huma Qureshi's new hobby

Huma Qureshi has a new found hobby. The actress has been collecting old books with Urdu poetry.

While poetry has been a major part of her childhood and growing up years, she only got interested in Urdu poetry recently.

She is fascinated by the language and although she has a lot of knowledge about poetry, Urdu poetry specifically is very different.

Huma feels that in Urdu words are woven together in a beautiful manner giving the poems a much deeper meaning.

When she recently read a few pieces of Urdu poetry, she was so intrigued that she has now been collecting books with Urdu poems.

She is extremely fond of reading Urdu poetry and is trying to get her hands on as many books as she can.

She already has a small collection of Urdu poetry books but is constantly searching for more.

Huma Qureshi shares, "Poetry or Urdu shayri has so much beauty in the way it is written and recited. The interest in Urdu poetry came to me so late... I wish I had discovered this gigantic treasure earlier."

Bangistan set to release on 31st July 2015

The trailer launch which took place in a suburban theater had a grand welcome in traditional Indian ambiance-with flowers,  for the Cast & Crew- Sunny Leone, Jay Bhanushali, Mohit Ahlawat, Jas Arora, Producers Bhushan Kumar, Ahmed Khan, Shaira Khan & Director Bobby Khan were present!!

Sunny Leone went the Indian way & was seen in a sari and looked elegant. Director Bobby Khan was seen thanking Producer Bhushan Kumar for all the support he gave him throughout his career!

The response from the media was overwhelming on the trailer and everyone complimented Sunny on her hindi diction which was quite impressive.

Farhan Akhtar performed quite a heroic act during the Turkey schedule of his next film Dil Dhadakne Do.

Post pack up on one of the days while they were on a beach in Anatolia,  Ranveer Singh’s hairdresser Darshan dived into the sea for a swim. He swam out too far and was further dragged by a strong current. 

While he was being swept away, someone spotted his flaying arms and raised an alarm. 

Seeing the commotion, Farhan  jumped into the sea without a second thought and pulled him back to safety.

Everyone on the beach panicked  as the current was very strong. 

However, Farhan's who is an excellent swimmer managed to get to him. It was actually Farhan's timely act saved the day. 

Once they were closer to the shore everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Jaswinder Gardener to be a part of Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hain

SAB TV’s popular alien comedy series ‘Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai’ narrates an exciting and comical tale of an alien family finding its place amongst humans on ‘Earth’ while learning the intricacies of human nature and behavior.

Sunshine Colony is all set to welcome a new member into their colony. This new resident is called Jaswinder Gardner who shall enact the role of Kkkuku. Kkkuku is very pretty and feminine and everyone in Sunshine Colony is in awe of her and her personality. She has fondness towards Vasant Ghotala aka Sumeet Raghavan and deep down in her heart she is keen to get to know him better this causes her to occasionally flirt with Mr. Gohtala.

When asked about her entry on the show Jaswinder Gardner aka Kkkuku said, “I am really happy to be working alongside the cast of Badi Doooor Se Aaye Hain. I am truly looking forward to be seen on SAB TV. When the opportunity presented itself I was very excited to be a part of such a prestigious and entertaining show. In the comedy genre you get to do something silly and new every day and I love doing this.”

David Dhawan Praises Taapsee

Every actor likes being complimented on their performances. More so if it is the director one worked with on their first commercial Bollywood film. A little birdie told us, Taapsee got a surprise call from David Dhawan after he saw the film Baby and complimented her on her portrayal of the character. He said that her body language and expressions were bang on and would really leave a lasting impression on one’s mind. The call apparently made Taapsee feel really special because he directed her in her debut Bollywood film Chashme Baddoor. Well any actress would be flattered to get compliments from a legendary directory much like David Dhawan. Taapsee who had invited the director for a special screening couldn't make it as he was busy traveling and the moment he came back the first thing he did was catch up on the movie. This perhaps is the best reward for Taapsee who's beginning to find a foothold in Bollywood. “For any actor it's most humbling when the director who have you a break appreciates your work. David Sir perhaps is the kindest soul I know and he made it a point to see Baby and the way he is, he called me personally to let me know what he felt about the movie. He was very appreciative and I'm really glad he liked my work” she said.

Dia Mirza Turns Director

As the year gears up, Dia Mirza is all set to don yet another hat quite gracefully

If sources are to be believed there is a strong confirmation of Dia donning the directors hat in 2015

What could be a reflecting change from her last movie, this movie is said to be a romantic comedy set in urban India.

While not much is known of the story line, the idea to become a directorisn't something new for Dia.

A few years ago, Dia had already made up her mind that after becoming a producer she would want.

While no timeline was set by her, when Dia read the script in question she couldnt resist and suggest to take the role of a director.

The film will be produced by her maiden production Venture and will have two young actors from Bollywood.

She's currently working to achieve a stronger draft of the script.The film will go on floors somewhere around June 2015.
