Shruti Haasan who made everyone sit up and notice her acting chops in D Day, may surprise her Hindi film fans with her role in the masala film 'Welcome Back' but those who have been watching Shruti do the commercial song and dance routine with enthusiasm in south are not at all surprised. Shruti who has learnt dancing since childhood finds dancing one of the most enjoyable part of acting in a film. 

This is the first time Shruti is playing a very conventional Hindi film heroine in a big production and had earlier played a Pakistani prostitute in D Day or a sweet innocent girl in Ramaiya Vastavaiya.
