Mumbai, 26th July: With the intention of celebrating, promoting and facilitating the ART and ARTISTS of IndiaKiran Joneja Sippy- Bollywood actor, producer and wife of eminent film director, Ramesh Sippy, officially be launched RESPOND foundation on the 26th of July, Hyatt Regency, Andheri(E), Mumbai. Extending their support, noted guests such as veteran actor turned politician Shatrughan Sinha, politicians Praful Patel, V. N. An art & culture enthusiast and a painter herself, Kiran will also be showcasing some of her paintings at the event, amidst the company of her husband, Ramesh Sippy, and some of the country's finest Bollywood celebrities, amongst many prolific others from the field of Sports, Politics, Business.

Philanthropy is a sense of love for humanity; and help and care is needed everywhere. In response to the need for preserving and promoting our ‘cultural art’, the purpose and thought ‘Respond’, begins”,  says Kiran.

The foundation, Kiran's brainchild, is an initiative which will serve as a platform to support and showcase various forms art and its artist, of the Indian origin. Be it sculptors, painters, singers, musicians, or any other form of artistry, each will be promoted through RESPOND, every year, across the cities of India.

The first season of ‘Respond’ starts kick starts in Mumbai this year, followed by the next season premiere in Bengaluru, in 2014, wherein the cities artists will get to showcase their work. Similarly, every year, a new city will be selected and brought to the forefront, where RESPOND will be a catalyst in bringing a talent ahead.

About Kiran Joneja Sippy:

Kiran Joneja Sippy is a veteran Indian actress, and a successful business entrepreneur. A graduate from the prestigious Lady Shri Ram College, she began her career as a model, and went on to become one of the top models on India. As early as her school days, Kiran, was inclined towards the arts and theatre; she was known to direct plays and functions and took on to painting at an early age. Later on, in 1984, she started her acting career and soon was known for her infamous role as Virawali in Buniyaad, for which she also won an award. Soon, she took on numerous serials as her career as an actress soared great heights. After marrying Ramesh Sippy, she started her own company, in 1992, Kiran Chitra Enterprises, which has produced many popular Hindi films. Besides acting she is also interested in other aspects of film-making, and is currently working on two Bollywood films and a script of a film she wants to direct.
