According to the Devanagari Script (Marathi), Ajanta is read as “Ajintha”. And that’s the title of the film AJINTHA Produced under the Iconic Banner Chandrakant Productions Pvt Ltd . this film is directed by Shri Nitin Chandrakant Desai. ‘Ajintha’ is based on a true love story, told never before, between Major Robert Gill & a tribal girl named Paro. Their Love was pure…beyond all languages, all barriers, all cultures!. Ajintha’ is a brain child and the directorial debut of the internationally acclaimed Production Designer and Producer Nitin Chandrakant Desai. It’s his salute to the creators of the caves & the Indian Art, and a tribute to Paro, all the villagers of Ajanta & Robert Gill.
The music of this iconic film is set to tunes by Kaushal S. Inamdar and penned beautifully by N D Mahanor. This album is a bouquet of variety of songs presented in the versatile vocals of Kaushal Inamdar, Ravindra Sathe, Avdhoot Gupte , Suresh Wadkar to name a few. “Dolyane dasale pahad” is a melodious number sung by Kaushal Inamdar himself along with Ravindra Sathe and Chorus. The song “Laal Hori” comes thrice in the film with various moods like rhythmic happy tribal hori song, colourful romantic number and at the end comes with a sad feel. This song depicts the pathos of Paro trapped in the hands of the society’s superstitions and age-old beliefs
