AKSAR …. . The album was launched in, The Hilton, Andheri, Mumbai. The evening started with a scintillating Live Performance by Bhupinderand Mitali Singh, followed by the launch of the album by Madhuri Dixit Nene, the evening was attended by Anup Jalota, Talat Aziz, Salim Aarif to name a few.

We have a brand new recording, wherein Gulzar Saab has wielded his pen yet again, for ” AKSAR …. by providing beautiful lyrics for all the songs. The music has been arranged splendidly by none other than Uttam Singh, of Dil Toh Pagal Hai fame, as he strikes the correct balance between enchanting music and poignant lyrics.
The album features the unparalleled voices of India’s most multi talented musician, Bhupinder Singh and his equally gifted wife Mitali Singh! Best known for singing immortal jewels like Beeti Na Bitai Raina, Naam Gum Jayega and Ek Akela Iss Shehar Mein, Bhupi, as he is popularly known,and Mitali, are back with AKSAR …. to gift us pure musical pleasure.
AKSAR …. ……....... is the outcome of some of the finest poetry of Gulzaar Saab. It consists different moods of the poet, different phases of thoughts he passes through, experiencing d ifferent behaviours of life and times. Each song, be it a Ghazal or a Nazam, is a complete story within itself.
“ Kahin To Gard Udey, Ya Kahin Ghubar Dikhey ” is complete picture of someone waiting for someone to emerge from somewhere. Total loneliness has been explained so beautifully by Gulzaar in this Ghazal.
Mitali , when she sings “ Kal Ki Raat ” she brings a distant past so close as last night….

All these songs have been finely composed by Bhupinder Singh.
The only duet “ Neeli Neeli Ankhiyon Se Jhanke Re Samandar Jhankey ”in the album happened when Amandeep , son of Bhupinder Singh was composing & playing the beautiful rhythm on his Guitar, which inspired Bhupinder so much that he composed it in that spontaneous moment and Gulzaar heard and he wrote - “ Neeli Neeli Ankhiyon Se Jhanke Re Samandar Jhankey Lehron Ke Paon Pe Aaye Aur Jaaye Geeli Geeli Ret Pe Kya Likh Jaaye Kaisi Lakreen Aanken Aanken ”the most beautiful romantic duet song in this album.
“ Aisi Maddham Si Bolti Hai Raat “ Bhupinder composed it in semi classical style . It takes you in a different world altogether.
Last Ghazal is a real landmark poetry from Gulzaar Saab.
