Vroom!!! Vroom!!! Get set and go. Tobey Marshall [Aaron Paul] a former race car driver who owns a garage in downtown New York, where he and his team redesign fast cars. They race on the streets to earn big bucks, Dino [Dominic Cooper] Tobey's rival in past gets him in a agreement to design a car project in exchange for 25% of the selling price of $2 million, Tobey agrees to the deal.
They meet Julia, an Englishwoman who agrees to pay $3 million if the car can go over 230 mph and they strike the deal for$2.7 million.Dino brave’s Tobey and his partner Pete to race his father's three illegally imported fast cars and he gets 75% and if he loses he pays 25% of the Mustang sale.
As they race Dino tricks dash Pete's car and he gets kill in the course as the car turns into a ball of flames. Tobey is caught for an unintentional homicide and goes in jail for 2 years. The Drama unfolds into a vengeance as the movie progresses towards climax.
The race of Tobey and Dino on the Pacific Coast Highway is stunningly extraordinary and will leave you out of breath. Need For Speed delivers what the title suggests but leaves you perplexed on the plot, as the screenplay sucks. However the technical part of the film is flawless, as accurate sound designs and the stunts of car mishap [especially when Pete’s car is shown flying in the air and smashing down blow your minds off]. Video-game enthusiast may miss their adrenaline rush.

Aamir’s recent visit to a small village called Gaya in Patna has created a nationwide effect. The actor who started the second season of his TV show Satyamev Jayate, from Gaya in Geluhar has  generated a ripple effect all over the country. It immediately became one of the highest talking points for his show.

The very idea of initiating the journey of Satyamev Jayate, from the very spot where a lay man had broke down a mountain all by himself. This concept sank in precisely with the theme of the show. It conveyed what a single human can achieve. The man named Dashrath Manjhi invested 22 years of his life to break the enormous mountain just to create a road for the villagers which made their travel easier. 

The entire scheme was very well executed which gained massive traction and attention from the audiences across the country. Also the fact that Aamir Khan had also mentioned the story of Dashrath Manjhi in the first season of the show, it was indeed a surprise to all the viewers to witness the incredible story of Dashrath Manjhi so closely.

This one will stay with the audiences as the reactions which have been received on the story have been everlasting. It has definitely created a nationwide impact across country for the message that its has conveyed.

The latest SAB TV’s Horror Comedy show ‘Pritam Pyaare Aur Woh’ is having its own share of fun among the cast members.

Pritam played by Siddharth Sagar is the tech savvy partner in a pair of ghost hunters in this new TV series. Pyaare played by Prasad Barve is the gullible brother who listens to everything that Pritam says. On a recent outdoor shoot, Siddharth scared Prasad by playing a ghostly prank.

Siddharth is a tech savvy person and always hooked on to his phone or tablet. During the shoot he surfed through some blogs which talked about haunted places and had photos with the locations of these spooked destinations. As he casually flipped through some photos, Siddharth realized that their shoot location was eerily similar to one of the locations enlisted on the blog. He showed the photos to Prasad & told him to be cautious as the place could really be haunted and strange things were happening around on the sets. Later, Siddharth downloaded an app on Prasad’s phone which made it look as if his screen had cracked. When Prasad looked at his phone & could not understand how it happened, Siddharth spooked him by saying that it could be because of a ghost. Prasad was scared to death and Siddharth had to reveal that it was a prank and there was no supernatural activity on the sets.

Siddhartha Sagar said, “All my co-actors know that I play pranks. I could not resist tricking Prasad this time. I knew he was a bit spooked because of the location, I simply aggravated his fears with fake stories and the cracked screen prank was a cherry on the cake. He did get angry but it was all in good humour as no real harm was done. We both are the best of friends and joke with each other all the time.”

Only time will tell if Pyaare gets to turn the tables on Pritam!!

Lifebuoy REDUCES DIARRHOEA from 36% to 5% in THESGORA




19 March 2014 Unilever’s health soap Lifebuoy today announced the results of its Help a Child Reach 5 handwashing programme launched in Thesgora, India, noting an overwhelming drop in incidence of diarrhoea from 36% to 5%[1]. Kajol Devgn, actor and handwashing ambassador revealed the results and Sanjiv Mehta, CEO and MD, Hindustan Unilever Limited announced the campaign will scale up to reach 45 million people in India.

The decrease in diarrhoea in this village – known for having one of the highest rates in India of this deadly yet preventable disease – was observed over the period of Lifebuoy’s intervention in an independent evaluation of 1485 households with children aged below 12 years, conducted by Nielsen in September 2013.

Lifebuoy’s Help A Child Reach 5 campaign aims to eradicate preventable deaths from diseases like diarrhoea one village at a time, by teaching lifesaving handwashing habits. The campaign was launched with an award winning film www.youtube.com/helpachildreach5 and handwasing initiatives in Thesgora, a village in Madhya Pradesh with one of the highest rates of diarrhoea in India. These results show that the handwashing programmes had significant positive impact on handwashing behavior and health of the community.

I advocated for handwashing with soap with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and other policymakers at the UN General Assembly, and on Indian TV and digital media. The outstanding results of ‘Help A Child Reach 5’ campaign in Thesgora gives us even more confidence that children can survive by inculcating the simple habit of hand washing with soap”.

Worldwide, 1 child dies from diarrhoea or pneumonia every 15 seconds- which is 2.1 million deaths each year. In India, over 6 lakh children under the age of 5 die from to pneumonia and diarrhoea annually. Handwashing with soap is the most cost effective way to prevent child deaths and contribute to Millennium Development Goal 4 (MDG4) towards reducing child mortality. Put simply, the simple but lifesaving act of handwashing with soap could help many more children reach the age of five.

India’s biggest star Amitabh Bachchan felicitates winners of the 6th edition of Lavasa Women’s Drive, country’s largest women’s car drive 




Mumbai, March 19, 2014: Winners of the 6th edition of Lavasa Women’s Drive were felicitated by super star Amitabh Bachchan at a gala event in Mumbai. Mr. Bachchan presented awards to the first three winning teams from Mumbai and  Pune who completed the race. Cine stars Jackky Bhagnani and Neha Sharma presented awards for the best message, best dressed car, most popular team, best moment award, and the most empowering message. (Detailed winners list is enclosed)  

2000 women drove to picturesque Lavasa from Mumbai and Pune on 22nd February 2014 for the 6th edition of the drive that celebrates the spirit of the modern Indian woman - full of fun, adventure and compassion. The drive conducted in the Time-Distance-Speed format (TDS)   witnessed intense competition among participants. The women also displayed their compassionate side by decking up their cars with impactful messages on women related issues. Over the years the drive has been instrumental in spreading awareness about cancer prevention as well as diverse social causes related to women.
  
Speaking on the occasion, Anuradha Paraskar, Senior Vice President - Marketing and Sales, Lavasa Corporation Limited said, “The 6th edition of the drive is truly special. Lavasa Women’s Drive now holds the Guinness World Record for ‘Most female participants in a motor sport event’. Amitabh Bachchan, felicitating the winners said, “Lavasa Women’s Drive has reached a stage where it has received international recognition in the form of the Guinness World Record. The recent case of Nirbhaya saw the coming together of people without any political lineage where the common man expressed his voice which was heard by the system.

I partner UNICEF in their campaign for the girl child and the campaign for eradication of polio in India. After 8 year long fight, finally India is free from Polio. I do hope that campaigns like Lavasa Women's Drive help eradication of the dreaded diseases like cancer.”

Spirited performance by singer Hard Kaur enthralled the audience and made it a evening to remember for all the participants who actively participated in Lavasa Women’s Drive.

Lavasa Women’s Drive has been actively supporting the cause of Women's Cancer prevention through early detection since 2009. A large part of money collected through registration, is donated to Women's Cancer Initiative - Tata Memorial Hospital. Amitabh Bachchan also contributed Rs. 11 lakh towards the cause.   

Devieka Bhojwani, Vice-President, Women's Cancer Initiative -Tata Memorial Hospital, said ‘Lavasa Women’s Drive has seen 12,000 women participating in the campaign against the dreaded disease in last six years. We can create huge awareness by taking this campaign to new levels. Lavasa Women’s Drive has achieved an important milestone with a Guinness World record. There is another crucial milestone that we need to achieve which is the total eradication of cancer.”

अगले कबीर खान की 'फैंटम' में एक टफ सीक्रेट एजेंट की भूमिका निभाते हुए दिखायी देंगे, सैफ ने हाली ही में यह दिखा दिया कि वे ऑन स्क्रीन भी कितने टफ है। सूत्रो कि माने तो वे अपनी पीठ कि तकलीफ से बेहद परेशान थे इसके बावजूद वे फैंटम कि शूटिंग के लिए प्लेन से पटिआला पहुँच गए लेकिन सैफ ने यह बात किसी को नहीं बतायी क्युकी वे नहीं चाहते ते थे कि उनके कारन कोई शूटिंग में बाधा आये वो अपनी टीम को परेशान नहीं करना चाहते थे।  
      डॉक्टर्स ने हिदायत दी थी कि पहले वो आराम करले और उसके बाद ही शूट के लिए जाए लेकिन ऐसा करना मुमकिन नहीं था निर्देशक ने पहले ही हाई एक्शन सीन का शेडूल बनया हुआ था और इसे बदलना और फिर से शेडूल करना बहुत कठिन होता। इस हाई एक्शन सीन को पटिआला में सैफ अली खान तथा कटरीना कैफ के साथ फिल्माया जायेगा।

Atul Agnihotri's upcoming film, O Teri, presented by Salman Khan talks about two boys, Prantabh Pratap (PP) & Anand Ishvaram Devadutt Subramanium (AIDS, in short) who are ordinary journalists doing ordinary stories, facing ordinary pressures of life when a quirky turn of events changes their lives.

Previously we heard how the film is based on the Common Wealth Games scam.. Now sources further reveal that the character played by Anupam kher is inspired by Suresh Kalmadi's life.

Suresh Kalmadi was a lot in the news during the Cwg scam. He was accused for a lot of things that happened during that event.

Since this film, starring Pulkit Samrat and Bilal Amrohi, is a satire comedy, there is a funny take on a lot of real life events.

The entire film is based on real life events and is slated to release on 28th March 2014.

The entire cast of Humshakals has been shooting in Mauritius and has been away from home for quite some time now.

What we hear is that when Kareena and Genelia learnt that Saif and Ritiesh were feeling home sick they immediately decided to go and visit them on the sets in Mauritius.

In fact, when Kareena and Genelia landed on Sajid Khan’s films sets they surprised everyone by throwing a Dinner party for the entire cast.

A source close to the team said, ‘It was a party time when Kareena and Genelia came on the sets. They decided to have a small get together for the entire cast and surprised everyone by throwing a Seafood and Salad dinner party for them. Everyone had a great time together and the party went on for a really long time.’

Well, we are sure that Humshakals team had some more fun time on the sets!!

As per the track, Shweta Kawatra as Bhayankar Pari will be reborn to seek revenge and fight with Baal Veer. A source from the sets said that Shweta has always been fascinated with fairy tales and mythical creatures from her childhood. 

Shweta Kawatra who has been a prominent face amongst TV celebrities/actors will be returning to the small screen after a hiatus of almost 2 years. We spoke with Shweta to know her thoughts about the forthcoming role. She said, “I have grown up watching fairy tales and always been endeared by them. The villains in these mythical tales always made me wonder about their character traits, about their flamboyant dresses and vibrant personalities. It was a pleasant surprise when I was offered the role of Bhayankar Pari. I had never imagined that I would get a chance to enact a role wherein I would relive my childhood fantasy. It’s a challenging role with interesting shades & I am looking forward to it.

It is going to be a war of epic proportions as the righteous Baal Veer battles with the evil Bhayankar Pari.
