The Award for Best New Product or Service of the Year went to MetLife Asia’s first lifestyle and health plan for women, named BEAUTIFUL.  First launched in June 2015, the product was designed to address the needs of the fast-growing 30 to 50 year old female segment and empowers them to lead beautiful and healthy lives, as well as providing financial security and protection in case of illness.

Related to the Award for the Most Innovative Company of the Year - in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, MetLife Asia was recognized for having launched two key projects that foster and promote innovation.  The first was the establishment of its Center of Excellence for Data Analytics (COEDA) in 2014 to transform big data into customer insights, deliver a more holistic customer experience, and drive improvements to business performance.  LumenLab was the second project; a Singapore based innovation space that develops, prototypes and tests new business models, actively seeking to disrupt and go beyond the status quo. The center fosters a culture of innovation within MetLife in more than 10 countries across the region and creating new businesses that address Asian consumers’ needs in health, ageing, and wealth management.

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small - are eligible to submit nominations. The 2016 IBAs received entries from more than 60 nations and territories. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Rome, Italy on 21 October.

महालगोरी 
 

लगोरी म्हंटलं कि सर्वानाच आपले बालपण आठवते. या खेळाशी प्रत्येकाचे काही ना काही नाते असतेच. लगोरी .. डिकोरी... लगूरी अशा अनेकविध नावानी या खेळाला ओळखले जाते. 
लगोरी हा महाराष्ट्राचा पारंपरिक खेळ आहे असे म्हंटले तरी वावगे ठरणार नाही कारण याचे काही पौराणिक संदर्भ सुद्धा मिळतात. शिवाय  या खेळाला आता आंतरराष्ट्रीय मान्यता हि मिळाली आहे. 
 
पण आताच्या पिढीला या खेळाबद्दल फारशी माहिती नाही . म्हणूनच विस्मरणात जात असलेल्या या खेळाला आम्ही पुन्हा एकदा महालगोरी च्या निमित्ताने  सर्वांच्या समोर आणण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहोत . या कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन एशियन एंटरटेनमेंट चे श्री. सचिन साळुंखे आणि निमंत्रक शिवरत्न एंटरटेनमेंट चे  धैर्यशील मोहिते पाटील यांनी केले आहे.  संकल्पना तेजपाल वाघ आणि व्यवस्थापन फ्रेमएलिमेंट्स यांच्या द्वारे केले जाणार आहे. सप्टेंबर २०१६  च्या अखेरीस अकलूज येथे हे सामने होणार आहेत. शिवाय झी टॉकीज वाहिनी वर या सामन्यांचे प्रसारण होणार आहे.
 
२८ ऑगस्ट २०१६ रोजी या क्रीडा मालिकेचे उदघाटन मा. श्री. राज ठाकरे साहेब यांच्या हस्ते वेस्टीन हॉटेल गोरेगाव पूर्व या ठिकाणी संपन्न झाले. 
 
महालगोरी चे वैशिष्ट्य असे आहे कि यामध्ये खेळ आणि मनोरंजन यांचा अनोखा संगम पाहायला मिळणार आहे. आपले मराठी कलाकार यामध्ये भाग घेणार आहेत. आठ टीम्स आणि त्यांचे कॅप्टन अशी यांची विभागणी असेल. प्रत्येक टीम च नाव एका किल्ल्यावर आधारित असेल.  या टीम्स च्या माध्यमातून आम्ही महाराष्ट्रातील किल्ल्याना प्राधान्य देण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहोत. याच बरोबर विजेत्यांच्या बक्षिसाची रक्कम किल्ल्यांचे संवर्धन  करणाऱ्या NGO  ला देण्यात येईल. यामुळे आपल्या किल्ल्यांची साफसफाई आणि चांगली व्ययस्था ठेवणाऱ्या NGO ला मदत होईल आणि आम्हाला  महाराष्ट्राचे  वैभव जपण्याची संधी मिळेल. 

या प्रसंगी प्रसाद ओक आणि संजय नार्वेकर यांनी रंगमंचावर लगोरीचा खेळ खेळून सामन्याला सुरुवात केली .  
 
या क्रीडा मालिकेचे शीर्षक गीत संगीतकार रोहन - रोहन यांनी केले आहे . संजय जाधव , प्रसाद ओक , संजय नार्वेकर , अभिजित पानसे , सोनाली कुलकर्णी , स्मिता गोंदकर , हेमांगी कवी , केदार शिंदे , संग्राम साळवी , आदिनाथ कोठारे मनीषा केळकर , श्रुती मराठे  असे अनेक मान्यवर कलाकार खेळणार आहेत. आणि टीम्स ची नावे अनुक्रमे अशी असतील.

Viviana Mall makes the auspicious festival of Ganesha eco-friendly



Mumbai, 28th August, 2016To spread awareness and promote environment friendly Ganesha festival; Viviana Mall, leading retail destination mall in Mumbai Metropolitan Region has arranged a workshop for all Ganesha devotees to visit and make eco friendly Ganesha idols with their own hands.

School, college students, office goers are visiting Viviana Mall to make ‘Eco friendly Ganesha’ on August 27 and 28, 2016. The mall has put forth the initiative to encourage use of eco friendly idols this Ganesha festival. The response on August 27 and 28, 2016 was tremendous and many visitors including kids and senior citizens participated in the eco friendly Ganesha making workshop. Last year too, the mall had created a huge Ganesha idol made of recycled papers. This year the mall is moving a step ahead and showing devotees of Ganesha how they can be a part of the environment protection initiative.
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the mall shall do sthapna of all idols that are made by customers and worship all of them together.

Ms. Rima Pradhan, Head of Marketing, Viviana Mall said, “Every year we undertake an initiative to worship eco friendly Ganesha idol at our mall. To take the initiative a level above, we have decided to show our customers how they can themselves make eco friendly Ganesha idols. Award Winning Mystery Thriller, ‘Predestination’ premiere’s on Indian Television, Only on MOVIES NOW 2

Mumbai, August 25, 2016: MOVIES NOW 2 – the channel known for its smart and stylized movie content, is set to bring another edge of the seat mystery thriller to Indian Television; ‘Predestination’. The movie will be a Satellite Premiere that will air on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 9 PM.

‘Predestination’ – the movie, is based on the short story ‘All you Zombies’, Robert A. Heinlein. It’s a story of a time travel agent, who embarks upon a final assignment of his career; to prevent a deadly criminal from launching an attack that can take lives of millions. The chase turns into a mind boggling journey of time travel, love and fate.

The Australian movie was released worldwide in the year 2014, and is written and directed by the Spierig Brothers. The movie stars brilliantly talented actors Ethan Hawke, Sarah Snook and Noah Taylor. The film won as many as 11 awards and 18 nominations at various film awards in Australia. It also went on to win the award for the Best Screenplay at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival (2014).

This is the This is the first Spierig brothers film in 5 years, following Daybreakers (2009) which followed a 6 year gap after their debut film Undead (2003).
