Madhuri Dixit and Naseeruddin Shah get intimate in ‘Dedh Ishqiya’!

Madhuri Dixit will portray the role of Begum Para in Abhishek Choubey’s ‘Dedh Ishqiya’. Madhuri’s role in the film is very strong and has some very different qualities from Vidya Balan’s role in ‘Ishqiya’. There are many highlights of the film, one is Madhuri’s Mujra sequence and the other is her intimate scenes with Naseeruddin Shah.

Commenting on the same, Abhishek Choubey says, “It is not easy to shoot intimate scenes. Actors have to trust my vision. And I had to make sure I didn’t let her and the other actors down.”

Apart from Madhuri and Naseeruddin, there are bold and steamy scenes between Huma Qureshi and Arshad Warsi. The film is produced by Vishal Bhardwaj and Shemaroo productions.

'Thillu Mullu' is a rib-tickling comedy caper Tamil Movie produced by Vendhar Movies, directed by K Balachander, with Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role in the year 1981. Based on 'Thillu Mullu', the remake, popularly known as 'Thillu Mullu 2‘ starring Mirchi Shiva, directed by Badri is also a comedy flavored movie with different characters, like Shiva acting as a Kung Fu master and Isha Talwar as the female lead pair. A murder mystery, with a comic ting

Sutta Kadhai, a Tamil Film produced by S. Madhan of Vendhar Movies and directed by debutant Subu, is a dark comedy thriller about the happenings in 1980s and 90s and is based on the novels of those times. The story revolves around events which leads to a mess created by two cops and they end up clearing the mess with the help of a female protagonist. The two cops are ardent fans of an author of a comic book.

Comic book character plays an important role in the film. Sutta Kadhai is set in the backdrop of an imaginary hill station and the film has been shot in and around Kodaikanal. This Tamil film is produced by S.Madhan of VENDHAR MOVIES. The combinations of new faces Mr.Balaji a popular Radio Jockey and YOUTUBE famous "step step"- Mani will be playing the lead role in this movie titled Sutta Kadhai. Balaji is not new to acting and has featured in comical roles in A L Vijay's films like Poi Solla Porom, Madarasapattinam and Thandavam. Venki, who hosts a show in Youtube is the other hero. Newcomer Lakshmipriya plays the female lead. Naseer, M S Baskar, R S Sivaji, Jayaprakash are also in the cast. Produced by Libra Productions (first copy producer), the movie has Nishar cranking the camera.

After Ranjith's venture with Attakathi, 'Nalanum Nandhiniyum' is the third movie for Nanditha with another Assistant Director of Venkat Prabhu namely Venkatesh. Life OK's Savdhaan India makes its one of a kind Maha Movie

~Part of UP fights back series, the movie will premiere on

2nd June at 6 PM and 10 PM on Life OK~

Mumbai: Following the success of Savdhaan India – India Fights Back, the real life docu drama on Life OK, the series is now making its first Maha Movie, slated to premiere on the channel 2nd June 2013. Life OK as a channel has advocated and believed in the philosophy of “Cherishing what you have” as the thought resonates beautifully through the series. The series encourages the common man to raise his voice and fight back.

Produced by Saregama India Ltd. The film features Siddhant Karnik as Karan, Falak Naaz as Gauri, Aakash Sinha as Babban and Sanjay Sonu as Ranjan. The movie is a part of Savdhaan India's UP Fight Back special series.

Saregama’s Business Head, Manish Popat, says, “We are very proud that amongst various producers Channel Life OK chose us to produce the 1st Savdhaan India Maha Movie. I am sure we are doing some things right during the production of Savdhaan India that the Channel has given us this opportunity and we as always will deliver a good product. We are looking forward to many more movies”.

The film being an action thriller is a challenging project for the creative and directorial team since it has been adapted, developed and put into direction within ten days of channel approval.

“It is a great opportunity and we are enjoying every bit of its making. I am happy that the task has been bestowed upon us and the channel has trust on our creative design. We are making a 2 hours film in less than 20 days from start to finish which is quite a challenge considering the cinematic thought behind it. I am sure that audience will love the chemistry between Gauri and Karan…and the entire thrill that action gets into it. We are already visualizing a great response from viewers on the film and are hopeful it will generate more oppurtunities for us to make many more telefilms”, says Sachin Mohite, the Creative Director of Saregama.

The film is being directed by Supavitra Babul, who feels that shooting the film has been like driving a Formula 1 racing car. The producer and the script being the navigators…8 days of heat and speed gives an adrenaline rush…that is making the process very exciting with all its challenges in deadlines. The entire crew and cast are super excited and some pleasant surprises are evident on screen.

“It is wonderful to be working with producers who understand film making and support the creative and director’s vision. Also, I have known Ajit Thakur as a strong decision making channel head. I am glad that, through the 1st Savdhaan film, Life OK, has opened the gates to realistic crime action thriller genre and it couldn’t have been a better production house than Saregama for the first task. Adapted from a real life incident the film is about a commando, Karan, who single handedly fights a dacoit, Babban and his gang, to save passengers in the compartment from his terror loot but looses his fiance, Gauri, to Babban's fancy. The journey that begins in the train ends up in the jungles where Babban has escaped with his loot and Gauri. A badly bruised Karan, in his full throttle as a Commando follows the tracks to reach the dacoit and his lady love...but will he be able to fight back and survive?

Faraz Haider recently shot in Soha Ali Khan’s Pataudi house for his upcoming war comedy ‘War Chhod Naa Yaar’. The director was very happy that he got such a beautiful location to shoot but also reveals that he didn’t get any discounts.

Explaining the same Faraz says, “I have shot in both the exterior and interior parts of the Pataudi house with Soha Ali Khan and Manoj Pahwa. It is a very beautiful place and we have captured the full building in both day and night light. We have tried to show Pataudi house in a very different and beautiful manner. It was very special for Soha as this was for the first time anyone from the family has shot in their own house.”

Commenting on his decision of finalizing this location, he says, “The location was perfect for the scene. We had seen many other locations but later zeroed on this one.”

Faraz concludes, “We have done everything very legally and with all the permissions. The line producer went to the place and completed all the legal formalities. We didn’t get any discounts but the staff there was very supportive.” (laughs)

Susi Ganesh honoured by Maryland Governor

Susi Ganesh, the director of Shortcut Romeo was honoured by Martin O’Malley, Governor of State of Maryland with a citation for his contribution to Indian cinema. Susi Ganesh and his team were in New York to promote Shortcut Romeo after screening the movie and walking the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival along with actress Ameesha Patel and Puja Gupta.

Susi Ganeshan has directed some award winning movies in Tamil such as Virumbukiren, Five Star, Thiruttu Payale and Kanthaswamy. Recalling his 15 years of service and hard work to promote Indian movies especially Tamil and now Hindi, the Governor said, “The State of Maryland is proud to bestow the honour for his contribution to the entertainment industry.”

The award and the replica of great seal of the State of Maryland was presented by Dr. Rajan Natarajan, Deputy Secretary of State of Maryland and one of the high-ranking Indian-American political appointees.

Shortcut Romeo is a remake of Susi Ganesh's super hit Tamil film 'Thiruttu Payale', produced by Manjari Susi Ganesh. It also features Neil Nitin Mukesh. The film will release on 21st June, 2013.
