Swara Bhaskar surprises her family this Diwali.

 

This Diwali, Swara Bhaskar who is currently shooting for Sooraj Bharjatya’s next took time out from her schedule and surprised her family in Delhi.

While her family was under the impression that the actress was shooting for the Salman Khan starrer, they were surprised to see her on the auspicious occasion.

Says Swara, “I’ve been shooting for some film every year on Diwali, the past three years. So my family believed me when I said I would be inKarjat this year, too. I was just trying to mislead them. We have two days off for Diwali and everyone is returning home to celebrate and then resume shooting. I took the opportunity to come and see my family. It was great to see the surprised and happy faces of my family members.”

The Prime Minister visits the Peepal Wale Peer Ki Dargah and “Luck by Chance” he meets apuncturewala – Aslam. The highest authority of the country meets the lowest denominator of the society.

Some strange conversation follows between a Prime Minister and a puncturewala and entire nation is surprised to learn that a puncturewala has been given Zed security by the Prime Minister!

Benaras Mediaworks' Zid directed by Vivek Agnihotri will hit theatres this November and producers Anubhav Sinha and Mushtaq Sheikh are excited to launch "Mannara", Priyanka Chopra's sister as she makes her big Bollywood debut with the film.

​Dibakar Banerjee shares, "​The scene was more the kiss. It was about  deception, intrigue and murder and I needed that something extra - that element of surprise that throws everyone off. But we had over-rehearsed it. The takes ended up being just like the rehearsals - no surprise! Six takes, eight takes, still the same. I was worried. Then it struck me. I took Swastika aside and told her, 'Kiss him before he can say anything - and we won't tell him. Throw him off guard'."

He further adds, "Sushant is a highly prepared actor. He does NOT like surprises sprung at him. But our actress was completely the opposite. We started shooting the scene started as rehearsed, and then she did it, full on the lips, no holding back. The set froze, Sushant froze and then recovered. And the scene after that was highly electric because both of them were now watching each other warily - not knowing what the the other would do. And that mistrust, suspicion and tension made the scene."

Ranveer learns singing on Kill Dil sets

Ranveer Singh has learned sa re ga ma on the sets of Kill Dil from Ali Zafar and Parineeti Chopra.

Parineeti and Ali are both singers; while Parineeti is a trained singer and Ali has begun his career as a singer, it was only Ranveer amongst the trio who didn’t know how to sing.

Ranveer being a non singer was highly intrigued while Parineeti and Ali kept singing and humming, and in between shots they both taught him sargam on the sets.

This is the first time that Ranveer has learnt the nuances and sargam of singing, although he always loved music and wanted to learn.

YRF’s Kill Dil starring Govinda, Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar is slated to release on 14^th November 2014.

Sohum Shah in Katha remake

Sohum Shah bags the role played by Farooq Sheikh in Katha remake. 

Sohum Shah, the acclaimed actor of Ship of Theseus will be seen playing the role of a flirtatious guy next door in the remake of Katha. 

The film will be directed by Khalid Mohammad. 

Katha is one of the iconic slice of life comedies of eighties and is a story of two friends. 

Says Sohum Shah, "When Khalid got the rights of the Katha remake, he offered me the role and I agreed instantly. It's one of my favourite films." 

A new generation of sensible actors have cropped up on the scene and Sohum is leading the pack. His role was one of the most appreciated in Ship of Theseus and moving on from there he has a period drama Tumbad in which he plays the lead role. 

He will also be seen in a buddy cop film alongside Irrfan Khan which is produced and written by Vishal Bharadwaj and directed by Meghna Gulzar. Katha remake adds to Sohum's repertoire. 

In the original this role was played by late Farooq Sheikh thus Sohum's task will be very challenging. 

Sohum Shah shares, "Farooque sahab had his distinctive style. I'll be interpreting the character as per today's times," adding, "I think 'Katha' is as charming, funny and wise as it was a few decades back. It's such a delight to be able to bring back this beautiful story for an audience that might have missed out on this gem. I am so glad Khalid offered me to be a part of it."

Aamir Khan ate over 10000 paans for P.K.

Believe Aamir Khan to be entirely committed to the projects he works on. The actor is always willing to give his all to his films.

Now, we hear that the actor, who will be next seen in Raj Kumar Hirani’s P.K. ate over 10000 paans while shooting for the film.

It was the requirement of his character and so Aamir even stopped the count of paans he kept eating.

For every take, he had to eat a fresh paan to fill his mouth. Also before starting the shoot he had to eat at least 10-15 paans to get the right color inside his mouth and on his lips.

Even one of the earlier pictures of Aamir as P.K. that were leaked had the actor with a paan in his mouth.

As P.K., Aamir had to eat so many paans each shoot day, that the makers arranged for a paanwaala to have his shop on set at all times.

In the course of having so many paans every day, Aamir ended up creating his own recipe of the paan with his choice of ingredients.

Parineeti launches Sajde from Kill Dil on her birthday

Parineeti Chopra launched the romantic track 'Sajde' from her upcoming film Kill Dil, today, 22nd October.

Sajde is a romantic track between Parineeti Chopra and Ranveer Singh. It is stylishly shot with Parineeti in a glamorous and chic avatar. 

Today also happens to be Parineeti's birthday and she was surprised with a cake a small performance at the song launch.

The background dancers in the film danced to 'Happy Budday', the birthday song from Kill Dil for Parineeti.

Parineeti then cut a cake and fed some of those present.

She was surprised at what was planned for her and felt really special on her birthday.

Asin who loves celebrating the festival of Diwali ever since she moved to mumbai from the south will be missing out on the festivities this year. The actress, if sources are to be believed, will be flying out to New York before this Diwali. Says Asin, "I'm really disappointed that I will miss out on all the festivities in the country. We never celebrated Diwali so much back home in Kerala as we do in the north but ever since moving to mumbai, Diwali had become one of my most favourite festivals to look forward to,  Especially since its closer to my birthday as well! Its such an lovely festival.
