Touted to be the biggest action-romance of the year, the high octane film has been shot in Prague, Phuket, Greece, US and our very own Shimla, Manali, Delhi and Mumbai. The film, that releases on October 2, has two of the hottest superstars of the country. Their sizzling chemistry in the film was visible even in the poster that was released few weeks back.

Rang Rasiya is a Diwali release

Randeep Hooda’s  Rang Rasiya, a period drama based on the life Raja Ravi Varma, will be released on October 23rd, 2014 by Jayantilal Gada of PEN India. Rang Rasiya is directed by Ketan Mehta.

On Monday Jayantilal Gada met director Ketan Mehta, according to sources close to the film, "It was Ketan's birthday and Gada's thumbsup to his film was the perfect birthday gift. Ketan has waited six years for the movie to see the light of day." 

On asking about the clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year, Gada said, "Shah Rukh is a big star and I'm not competing with him. But there is an angle in the film which justifies a Diwali release." 

When Jayantilal Gada was asked if he was going to use the intimate scenes between the Randeep and Nandana to bring in the crowds he added, "No, that's not the plan. Much has been written about the film and people are already aware of what Rang Rasiya is all about. We'll bring in the crowds through our content and aesthetics alone."

Trailer Launch of the documentary Katiyabaaz

Phantom Films has come on board to present Katiyabaaz, a renowned documentary directed by Deepti Kakkar and Fahad Mustafa.

Vikramaditya Motwane had first seen the film and then decided to present it as it is a great concept

Katiyabaaz is a story of electricity crisis and theft in Kanpur.

Katiyabaaz is all set to release on August 22, 2014.

Anil Kapoor Takes A Break From Shooting For Daughters Sonam Kapoor And Rhea Kapoor.

Actor Anil Kapoor, who has always been a doting dad to daughters Sonam and Rhea, recently took a break from his shooting schedule in Spain, to fly to Mumbai to watch the rough cut of the trailer of Khoobsurat, the country’s first Disney film produced by Disney and Rhea Kapoor.

Says a source “He has been working closely with his daughters on their next production venture, in which Sonam plays the lead. They have been constantly exchanging notes on the film — be it about how to market it or what sort of posters to go in for,”.

While Anil Kapoor was shooting onboard a European cruise liner for Zoya Akhtar’s next it seemed unlikely that he would be able to take time out to watch the rough cut of the Khoobsurat trailer ,however, both Rhea and Sonam were in for a surprise when he walked into their office.

When contacted, Rhea confirmed the story, “It was quite sweet of dad to fly down specially to watch the rough cut of the trailer. He loved it.”

CULVER CITY, Calif., July 21, 2014 – Sony Pictures Entertainment announced today that the studio has brought together an extraordinary number of iconic video game companies, whose classic characters – including PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Centipede®, Galaga, Frogger, Q*bert, and Space Invaders – will be featured in the highly-anticipated action comedy Pixels, starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, and Brian Cox, and directed by Chris Columbus.  The film will be released in the US on May 15, 2015.

pioneer the trend of ‘item boys’! The actor, who will be making his directorial debut with dance extravaganza ‘MAD’, seems to have impressed none other than Bollywood’s top choreographer Farah Khan with his moves on the dance-floor.

Farah, who was present at the trailer launch event of the film, said, “The dance I see in M.A.D is probably something we have never seen on Indian screens before.

The teaser poster of Zoya Akhtar's upcoming film Dil Dhadakne Do was released and has created excitement among audiences.

It is Zoya's next film after Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. ​

The film revolves around a dysfunctional family on a cruise trip. It  features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah.

The cast and crew of the film were in a long shooting schedule on a cruise across the Mediterranean.

Dil Dhadakne Do is set to release on 5th June, 2015.

Rani Mukherji will appeal to the Police Commissioners of various cities to provide basic facilities, to have loos female officials in crime branches.
 

While Rani Mukherji was prepping up for her role as the crime branch officer in her upcoming next film, Mardaani, she visited various offices to absorb the atmosphere there and get a sense of how they work there.

On her visits, she was surprised and taken aback to know that the female officials in these offices did not have basic facilities like separate loos.

When Rani learnt about this issue, she decided to put in her word to the concerned authorities to make the necessary amendment. Since there are such important women officers at top ranking posts they should be able to put in a word too.

It is an extremely important matter according to her and requires immediate attention. Rani hopes that some steps will be taken towards this voice that has been raised by her.

Salman Khan's dialogue now on T-shirts!

One particular dialogue of Salman Khan’s upcoming next film, Kick has become the current flavor among the audiences.

The dialogue, “Dil mein aata hoon samajh mein nahi” has become so popular that we spotted a fashion street in Mumbai selling Tshirts with the dialogue printed on it.

The dialogue, which is also a part of the trailer of the film, that got the highest number of views, has caught on in a big way.

The line is personally very close to Salman’s personality and explains him the best.

The star Khan himself liked the dialogue so much that he gifted a wrist watch to Rajat Arora who is the dialogue writer of the film.

Delhi boy Manjot packs his bags for Pune

Manjot Singh has bagged a parallel lead alongside Abhay Deol in SNAFU. The shoot of which will largely take place in Pune. Manjot has packed and left for a 40 day long schedule in Pune. The duo, Abhay- Manjot were last in Oye Luck Lucky Oye in 2008. Right after Manjot’s confirmation for the role, Abhay tweeted “Oye Manjot, Manjot Oye” welcoming him onboard and now the promising actor is all set to roll.

In oye lucky lucky oye Manjot and Abhay essay the same character, Manjot being the younger lucky and Abhay as the grown up one. SNAFU will see them together as parallel leads. Manjot essays the character of Sunny Singh, a meek and submissive slum dweller. SNAFU is a thriller around commonplace situations going out of hands as the title suggests.

Sethu Sriram will make his directorial debut in Bollywood, having shot topline projects such as Wanted, Shakti, Tere Naam, Teree Sang, Milenge Milenge, OMG and Dusshera as DoP. Sriram has also directed a Kannada film titled Godfather.

Talking about Manjot joining the crew, Sriram said, “I’m glad we have Manjot on board as Sunny Singh. We wanted a certain kind of vulnerability and a meek demeanor. Manjot is a brilliant actor and he makes a perfect Sunny Singh. The majority of this film is slated to be shot in Pune and we have a packed schedule. My DoP has arrived from Chennai and the rest of the crew members have also reached from Bombay while Manjot will be flying down from Delhi. We will do a small puja and then roll at break neck speed”.

Manjot’s last Bollywood outings were Fukrey and What the fish playing, in the both the films he plays a sardar.

We first shot in London but couldn't complete it (the shoot) as Salman couldn't make it there. Then we moved to Poland (they shot in Warsaw). Abhay Deol’s next, SNAFU will be majorly shot in the youth city, Pune. The actor has had packed for a long 40 day schedule and left for Pune driving down himself. Abhay Deol is known for his quirks and has ensured that he drives down himself on his BMW X6, all the way to Pune from Mumbai.

 A source close to the star confirms, “ Abhay loves cars and long drives, given a choice he would drive himself rather than letting his driver do the driving. There has been many instances where he has jumped over to the driver’s seat even in Mumbai. So Abhay certainly could not let go of this opportunity for a long drive and that too in this breezy weather. And why just driving he is somebody who loves nature so that makes it double the reason for him to drive down. Bombay Pune drive is fun, I doubt if he would even take a stopover at Lonavala or somewhere else”.

SNAFU stars Abhay Deol and Manjot Singh in the lead. The duos were last seen in the much loved Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye. Puja Gupta is paired opposite Abhay. Abhay plays the role of Kabir Taneja which has negative shades. He plays a young high-flying corporate consultant in Mumbai mediating mega deals with most men with Big money.   Coincidentally this is Abhay’s third film with the screen name of Kabir.

SNAFU shoot rolls and Abhay Deol seems to have lots of fun on the sets. SNAFU is produced by Dolly Gadhoke under her banner Tanaria Stars. The shoot has just started in Pune at a high end plush apartment after a small puja with cast-crew and family.. Abhay will have a forty day long schedule in Pune before moving to Bombay schedule. He will be soon joined by co stars Manjot Singh and Pooja Gupta in Pune.

SNAFU is being directed by debutant, Sethu Sriram. He has worked as a DoP in topline projects such as Tere Naam, Wanted  and Oh My God. SNAFU is a thriller that explores human nature when confronted with crisis and while moving to uncharted territories.

T-Series Hate Story 2 has hit the jackpot within three days.

The revenge-thriller starring Surveen Chawla, Jai Bhanushali and Sushant Singh has netted Rs.15.85 crore since Friday.

According to trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, Hate Story 2 weekend figures stand - Friday Rs.5.46 crore, Saturday - Rs.4.74crore and Sunday - Rs.5.65 crore. Total: Rs.15.85 crore nett.

The chartbuster songs, promos and some aggressive marketing by T-Series made the film super hot. The small budget movie with debutant stars and director was made on a small budget of 11.5 crores including the advertising and promotion cost. On the first weekend itself the film has recovered its cost leaving aside the satellite rights and music.

Directed by Vishal Pandya, the film garnered favorable reviews from the critics and now the box-office collection shows the public liked it too.

Major action shots of KICK have been shot using drones

For the very first time, major action shots of Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick have been shot using drones (mini helicopters). This is first time in India and drones are essentially used for Hollywood action films. 

The Salman Khan starrer has been shot in a lot of real life locations.

Even in the trailer of the film, we see hard core action shot in Delhi and in Poland.

While they were shooting the action sequences in Poland, Sajid Nadiadwala's production team along with the international team working there arranged for drones to get the best shots.

Multiple drones were used to get shots from different angles so that all sides could be covered.

Drones are expensive and need expertise of different kind to be filmed. This talent was especially flown in ‎from LA. 

Be it for promotions or while they were shooting, Sajid Nadiadwala is sparing no expense towards his directorial debut.

With the help of these drones, they managed to get shots even better than usual and Sajid Nadiadwala was very keen to have them.

They had a special team on board to handle the drones as they needed to be handled in a certain way.

Everyone was extremely happy with the outcome.

Recently in Mumbai, a drone was used to deliver a pizza.

New Home for Neil Nitin Mukesh

Due work commitments, Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has shifted to a rented apartment in Andheri from his south Mumbai home.

When asked what his parents felt about him moving out, he says, “My mother is practical enough to understand that I have work commitments. It had become very difficult for me to travel three to four hours daily just for a meeting. In fact, she helped me in doing the interiors of my new house. But, yes, my father got a bit emotional as I have never stayed away from him. I will visit them over the weekends.”

Neil who will be seen in Sooraj Barjatya next, which also stars Salman Khan says “I have shot for the first schedule and thoroughly enjoyed the process. The next schedule will begin soon,” says Neil.

"I dont want publicity, I want justice" the words are from reknowed model turned actor Ajaz Khan. The controversy comes from popular tv show 'Comedy Nights wid Kapil.' Ajaz shot an episode for the show with  Kapil but now the comedian Kapil is not airing the same.  The actor said it was his outstanding and dominating performance which made Kapil feel overshadowed, this can be the only reason for not letting the show go on air. The guest in the show Sidhu  Paji also appreciated Ajaz's energy level and the kind of talent he has got.The actor now feels used and cheated after irresponsible and unprofessional attitude of comedian Kapil.There is no response from Kapil's side as he is not responding to Ajaj's calls and messages. But at the same time, Kapil has got all time to respond KRK. Ajaz played a role of bank chor (robber) in that episode. The role played has same name as that of a Yash Raj upcoming film from which Kapil has been outed. Kapil is not looking good at digesting superior performance and fan following of others. The Comedy Nights are turning in to justice fights now. Atleast this was not expected from Kapil, such a big performer, Ajaz claims his point.

 Abhay Deol’s next, SNAFU will be majorly shot in the youth city, Pune. The actor has had packed for a long 40 day schedule and left for Pune driving down himself. Abhay Deol is known for his quirks and has ensured that he drives down himself all the way to Pune from Mumbai.
>>  A source close to the star confirms, “ Abhay loves cars and long drives, given a choice he would be drive himself rather than letting his driver do the driving. There has been many instances where he has jumped over to the driver’s seat even in Mumbai. So Abhay certainly could not let go of this opportunity for a long drive and that too in this breezy weather. And why just driving he is somebody who loves nature so that makes it a double the reason for him to drive down. Bombay Pune drive is fun, I doubt if he would even take a stopover at Lonavala or somewhere else”.
>> SNAFU starts Abhay Deol and Manjot Singh in the lead. The duos were last seen in the much loved Oye Loucky, Lucky Oye. Puja Gupta is paired opposite Abhay. Abhay plays the role of Kabir Taneja which has negative shades. He plays a young highflying corporate consultant in Mumbai mediating mega deals with most men with Big money.   Coincidentally this is Abhay’s third film with the screen name of Kabir.
>> Sethu Sriram will make his directorial debut in Bollywood, having shot topline projects such as Wanted, Shakti, Tere Naam, OMG and Dusshera as DoP. Sriram has also directed a Kannada film titled Godfather.Talking about the Pune schedule, Sriram said, “We have a packed schedule in Pune and we will shoot all over the city- Malls, multiplexes, boutiques, hotels et al. The majority of this film is slated to be shot in Pune. My DoP has arrived from Chennai and the rest of the crew members have also reached. Abhay will be driving down himself as he loves long drives. We will do a small puja and then roll at break neck speed. The team is very excited, after a hectic pre production the day has finally arrived”.
