CRITIC VIEW.

One more outstanding masterpiece skillfully made from director David O. Russell a film that overwhelms and somewhat funny.

On the forefront are extremely fascinating actors Jennifer Lawrence,Bradley Cooper,Christian Bale,Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner.

It's a damn good film but not a cult classic.

A sluggish  at some moments. The grouping of the trio and their energetic frolics keeps the film effervescent.

The medleys of 1970s hits [Donna summer,Steely Dan, Todd Rundgren] gives the nostalgic ride in the past.

Enjoyable and overflowing with uncompromising joie de vivre, go for it.  

STORY.

In 1978, con artists Irving Rosenfeld and Sydney Prosser have met, started a relationship, and are working together. Sydney has improved Irving’s scams, posing as British aristocrat "Lady Edith Greensley". They are a well-matched couple, but Irving refuses to leave his adopted son with wife Rosalyn, who will not divorce him.

FBI agent Richie Di Maso catches Irving and Sydney in a loan scam, but offers to release them if Irving can line up four additional arrests. Sydney opposes the agreement. Richie believes Sydney is British, but has proof that her claim of aristocracy is fraudulent. Sydney tells Irving she will manipulate Richie, distancing herself from Irving.

Irving has a friend pretending to be a wealthy Arab Sheikh looking for potential investments in America. An associate of Irving's suggests that the Sheikh do business with Mayor Polito of Camden, New Jersey. The popular mayor is campaigning to revitalize gambling in Atlantic City but has struggled to raise the necessary funds. Richie devises a plan to entrap Polito despite the objections of his boss Stoddard Thorsen and Irving. Sydney helps Richie manipulate an FBI secretary into making an unauthorized wire transfer of $2 million. When Thorsen's boss, Anthony Amado, hears of the operation, he praises Richie's initiative, pressuring Thorsen to continue the operation.

Richie's over-eagerness to catch Polito causes the mayor to leave their meeting. Irving convinces Polito that the Sheikh is legitimate, expresses his dislike of Richie, and the two become friends. Richie arranges for Polito to meet the Sheikh at an airfield, forcing Thorsen into further expenses. Without consulting the others, Richie has a Mexican-American FBI agent play the part of the Sheikh.

Polito brings the Sheikh to a casino party, telling him that mobsters are there and it is a necessary part of doing business. Irving is surprised to see that the violent Mafia overlord Victor Tellegio, second-in-command to Meyer Lansky, is there, and wants to meet the Sheikh. Tellegio explains the business will need the Sheikh to become an American citizen, and Polito will need to expedite the process, bribing officials if necessary. Tellegio also requires a $10 million wire transfer, to prove the Sheikh's legitimacy. Richie agrees, eager to bring down Tellegio, convincing Irving the operation is out of control.

Richie tells Sydney he loves her, but becomes confused and aggressive when she admits to being American. Irving intercedes to protect Sydney, and attempts to call off their deal with Richie. Richie says that if they back out, Tellegio will learn of the scam and murder Irving, Sydney, Rosalyn and Rosalyn's son.

Rosalyn starts an affair with Pete Musane, a mobster she met at the party. She mentions her belief that Irving is possibly working with the IRS, so Musane threatens Irving, who promises to prove the Sheikh's investment is real. Irving later confronts Rosalyn, who admits she told Musane because she feels unloved. Rosalyn agrees to keep quiet about the plan, but now wants a divorce.

With Polito's help, Richie and Irving entrap members of Congress into receiving bribes on videotape. Richie goes over Thorsen, convincing Amado that $10 million is needed to entrap Tellegio, but only gets $2 million. A meeting is arranged at the offices of Tellegio's lawyer, but Tellegio does not show up. The operation continues and Richie records an admission of criminal activities when the lawyer accepts the transfer.

Irving visits Polito's house and admits to the scam. Polito blames Irving, saying he only wanted to improve New Jersey. The money is missing, but an anonymous source offers to return it in exchange for immunity for Irving and Sydney and a reduced sentence for Polito. Amado is willing to make the deal but Richie objects. Irving suggests Richie either has the money or is incompetent for losing it. Irving actually had a friend pose as Tellegio's lawyer to con Richie, to give him leverage and keep them away from the mob. Amado accepts the deal and removes Richie from the case.

Irving and Sydney open an art gallery and move in together, while Rosalyn lives with Musane and shares custody of her son with Irving. The mob accepts that Irving deflected attention from them, and they let him get on with his life.

In a first of its kind ‘Shave theatre’ the Finale event gave us a preview into numerous homes & bathrooms across the cities the movement has travelled, demonstrating how women all over India prefer men clean shaven. Women were seen protesting Unshaved is Unbathed and didn’t let their partners get out from the bathroom unless they are clean shaven and made it a daily regime as well. In a rare visual, leading Actors Arbaaz Khan &VidyutJammwal were seen shaving seated on bathtubs as they agreed to the Unshaved is Unbathed protest.

Malaika Arora Khan and NehaDhupiahighlightedtheir preference for clean shaven men and voiced the opinion of Indian women who think clean shaven men are more attractive. They make a better impression and they also smell good. Talking about routine grooming hygiene, the actorsexpressed their disapproval of men who are not clean shaven, highlighting that they look unclean and unattractive, like they have not had a bath.

As all women expressed that clean shaven men look fresh as they did after a bath;actors Arbaaz Khan and VidyutJammwal along with other men vowed to shave for their partner every day. Amol Gupte, the screenwriter, actor and film-maker, has added another feather to his cap. After tasting success in the scripting and film-making domain, he has now turned music composer for his next film, Hawaa Hawaai. 

Amole wants to reach out to children with his song, which will be based on Indian classical ragas. “I wanted to sing to the children of the nation. So, I wrote and composed Chule Ke Angaare. It’s an inspirational anthem for them and is an early morning rendition." 

"It has a flavour of Indian classical music,” says Amole. 

Besides composing the track, the director has also lent his voice to it. “I have also sung in the film. Since I was really connected to the song, I didn’t have any difficulty in singing it. I needed a voice that could communicate the words and I felt like singing it myself,” says Amol, who has been an Indian classical music aficionado since childhood.
 
“I was four years old when my father introduced me to Indian classical music, and I used to attend baithaks (music sessions),” he adds. He also says that he “will definitely compose more songs in the future”.

The rest of the songs have been composed by Hitesh Sonik. The same collaboration had rocked Stanley Ka Dabba, and one can't wait to see what they pull out of the box this time.

After “Mast Mast Do Nain” & “Dagabaz Naina” Salman completes the “Naina” trilogy with “Tere Naina” in “Jai Ho”.

All the three super hit songs have been shot for him by his “Lucky…” directors Radhika Rao & Vinay Sapru who earlier directed his film “Lucky… No Time For Love”

Like earlier Naina songs “Tere Naina” of “Jai Ho” is already topping all music charts with over 4 million hits in just 10 days.

The only way this song is different from the earlier “Naina” song is that in both earlier songs Salman sang for Sonakshi Sinha’s  “Naina” but this one is  for Salman’s Naina..!

For the first time Nawazuddin Siddhiqui will be seen doing an out and out comedy movie “Ghoomketu” which was announced on 14th January 2014.

The event started with director Pushpendra Misra announcing the movie. It was followed by the entry of the lead actor Nawazuddin Siddhiqi who will be seen playing the title role.

The actor showed a glimpse of the role he will be playing in the movie at the announcement of the movie. Nawaz was handpicked for the lead role by the director who wanted to make the movie only with him.

The movie will also show a glimpse of  Anurag Kashyap who will be playing a cop in the movie

The movie will also cast Richa Chadda and Huma Quershi in pivotal role.

Nawaz will be playing the title role "Ghoomkatue" who is an aspiring writer, travels all the way from Lucknow to Mumbai to be a part of Bollywood. With his unconventional acting skills and a very spunky character Nawaz is all set to thrill his audience.

While we will get to see Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing the lead in this comedy film, the other actors who will be playing pivotal roles in the film are Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadda.

Total Siyapaa is now slated to release on 7th March 2014

The film, Total Siyapaa is now slated to release on 7th March 2014. Reliance Entertainment and Neeraj Pandey's Friday Filmworks collaborate with &Pictures for their upcoming project, Total Siyapaa.

Neeraj Pandey has always been known for good content films. The movie content synergises with the brand personality of &pictures, who have found a seamless fitment with it and are excited about the association.  

Post the collaboration , the makers also felt 7th March is an appropriate date for the release of the film.

Till then, the three partners Reliance Entertainment, Friday Filmworks and  &Pictures will combine forces to further the scale of Total Siyapaa’s presence in India and globally. 

The film is a romantic-comedy about a Pakistani boy in love with an Indian girl, both based in London.

The makers have got together a fresh and unique star cast which includes Ali Zafar and Yami Gautam in the lead. Also for the first time, real life couple, Anupam kher and Kirron Kher will be playing reel life couple.

Audiences have given positive feedback on the trailer and are now waiting for the release of the film.
