Ayushmann & Bhumi’s Love Story to Open International Film Festival



July 7th, 2015: Ayushmann Khurana & Bhumi Pednekar will work their charm on audiences in distant Canada when their runaway hit, ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ will open the first Ottawa Indian Film Festival Awards (OIFFA) this July.

Slated from July 22 to July 25, OIFFA will draw NRI audiences & foreign viewers who love to savor Bollywood. Breaking away from tradition of kick starting a film festival with a big budget, multi starrer or musical, this festival has preferred to open with the much applauded performances of Ayushmann & Bhumi in this unusual love story. ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, a low-key release, ran in theatres for over 50 days; and without minimal publicity, has become the year’s most loved super hit. The film has also made a sizeable profit for its production banner, Yashraj Films.

In roles that have been perceived as ‘breaking stereotypes’ for Ayushmann Khurana & Bhumi Pednekar, the film is highly anticipated amongst South Asian movie buffs in Ontario. Says Ayushmann, "I am glad that ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ has worked well with both the critics and the audience. Its content, realism and performances make it one of the better films of the year".

Pritam takes up for Indian classical music!



Post his comeback, Pritam Chakraborty is maha-busy with some of the most-awaited films of the year including Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dilwale, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Jagga Jasoos, Phantom. However looks like there is a serious issue that keeps haunting the ace music director. Pritam feels that there is a serious dearth of musicians who are working towards keeping the Indian classical music alive. He says, “I think it’s a serious concern as there are only few musicians left who actually know how to play the old classical instruments. It’s about time that someone should take an initiative to keep the Indian music alive. In the West, we see people working towards saving and preserving their western classical music. Like, we can go to Prague to record a Western classical piece.” Ruing the fact that the classical form of many Indian instruments are not finding takers, he adds, “Earlier, every musician had their own team, but now we do face problems when we want certain Indian classical instruments. Those who learn these crucial instruments will be most in demand soon as they would be the only ones trained enough to play them.”

People have become very anxious to know more about her, which shows that she has won a lot of hearts through just this teaser. According to the team, it seems that she is an important part in this much awaited film. 

This girl who has made the audience so anxious, has given a tough time to director Kabir and his team too. Kabir auditioned more than 5000 girls before finalizing this young lady. It was quite a task for the team as they wanted an endearing face for the role of Munni. 

Kabir and his Team were looking for fresh faces and They wanted a very pretty and Charming face for the role and indeed after auditioning  over5000 Kids  the makers have made a right decision by picking Harshali Malhotra for the role of Munni. She is Really Charming and very cute.

Harshali Malhotra, the girl playing Munni, is really charming and adorable. We never know this cute girl might also have a bright future in Bollywood.

The Salman Starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan Most anticipated film of the Year is all set to release in Eid 17 July. Kareena Kapoor is Paired Opposite Salman and the film is Directed by Kabbir Khan and Produced by SKF and Rockline Venkatesh.

सूत्रों का कहना है की " फेसबुक के अधिकारियो ने माधवन से संपर्क किया और उन्होंने उनसे  फेसबुक के ऑफिस विजिट करने के लिए अनुरोध किया . माधवन जब वहां पहुंचे तो यह जानकर आश्चर्यचकित रह गए  की लोग को उनकी  आगामी  फिल्म साला खडूस में उनके नए लुक को लेकर काफी उत्साह है । इस मुलाकात के दौरान माधवन  ने वहा के कर्मचारियों से बातचीत की  और फिल्म तनु वेड्स मनु से सम्बंधित अनुभव को उनसे शेयर किया. इतना ही नहीं  माधवन ने फेसबुक के ऑफिस में उनके काम को भी समझने की  कोशिश की और फिर उसके बाद उन्होंने अपने फंस के साथ कुछ समय बिताये, उन्हें ऑटोग्राफ दी, उनके साथ सेल्फ़ी खिचवाई.

Madhavan gets mobbed at Facebook HQ in California

R Madhavan, who’s riding high on the success of his last release Tanu Weds Manu Returns and busy promoting his upcoming film Saala Khadoos, took some time out to visit Facebook headquarter in San Jose, California.

A source says, “The officials at the Facebook office had approached Madhavan requesting him to visit their office in California. He was amazed to see the reaction of officials at the headquarters of the social networking site’s office who praised his look from the movie Saala Khadoos. Madhavan interacted with the employees and spoke about Tanu Weds Manu Returns and shared interesting anecdotes at the event.”


“The actor also understood their operations at Facebook office. After the interactions, the frenzied fans mobbed their favourite actor asking for autographs and selfies with him,” the source adds.

Boman Irani is in Zurich, where he had been invited to deliver a motivational speech. Interestingly, the event also coincides with Boman completing a decade of conducting motivational talks and workshops at the corporate level. This facet of Boman’s life may come across as a surprise for many who know him only as an actor. Yet in the corporate field, besides being known for his brilliant onscreen performances, Boman is a name synonymous with his highly inspirational talks that have often become the turning factor in the lives of many from his academic audience. And the talks, points out Boman, are not about his successful journey in Bollywood, but about his life’s ups and downs up until the point when he became a film actor at the age of 44. “My talk is an anecdotal journey which starts the day I was born to the day I signed Munnabhai MBBS,” shares Boman, adding that he tries to narrate his early failures with more glee than he does his successes. “The greatest comedy comes out of misfortune! So I am not there talking about triumph of a physical form like scaling the Himalayas, or in my case my success after becoming an actor, but about the struggle before I reached there. So people know I worked as a photographer before I turned to films, what they do not know is that I have worked as a waiter too and a struggling theatre actor that trained me to become the actor I am,” he says. Recalling how his journey as a motivational speaker began, Boman, who has been getting standing ovations for his sessions, reveals that it all started ten years ago. “Back then, I used to host corporate events, but when I would get on stage, many from the audience would often ask me questions about my journey, and it would end up becoming an interview session. So, the CEO of the company suggested that I should actually do the session as a motivational speaker! That’s when the penny dropped and I decided to conduct these workshops.” But does the corporate audience find it easy to connect to a Bollywood star? “The alienation is narrowed down in an instance when I tell them that my story is no different than theirs. What also helps is that I have never played larger than life figures in my films. My characters on screen have come out of everyday life and people find it easier to connect.” However, Boman while inspiring lives, insists that his audience not get starry-eyed about celebrity-dom and leave their cushy jobs in pursuit of dreams alone! “I always ask them to pursue their dreams but also to be realistic about their own core competence. What needs to be remembered is that it takes a lifetime of hard-work to become an overnight success!”

अभिनेता उपेन पटेल जो अपनी पाटनर करिश्मा तन्ना के साथ  नच बलिए ७ में नज़र आ रहे हैं, इस जोड़ी  को जनता ने भी काफी पसंद किया, हालही में उपेन पटेल नाच बलिए के सेट पर  एक डांस एक्ट  के लिए अभ्यास कर रहे थे की अचानक उन्हें  चोट लग गयी.

Injured Upen Patel continues rehearsing for Nach Baliye 7

Upen Patel, who will be seen in Nach Baliye 7 along with his ladylove Karishma Tanna, was recently injured while rehearsing for his act on the sets of the show.

While rehearsing for one particular dance form recently, Upen got his lower back injured. The actor, who enjoys dancing, has been rehearsing for long hours to put up a spectacular dance act for the finale.

A source says, “With long hours of rehearsals and stress, Upen got his lower back injured. Ever since the beginning of Nach Baliye, Upen and his dance partner Karishma Tanna has been scoring high for their dance performances.”

“Upen is a thorough professional and understands the importance of winning the dance reality show. He’s leaving no stone unturned for the finale,” the source adds.

Namaste England is closet TO Vipul’s Heart

Vipul Shah is a very well known  name in the industry. He Has been in the industry for more than 12 years now. He has given some fabulous films to the Industry as a producer as well as a Director.

Recently we heard that Vipul Shah is working on Namaste England, which is a Sequel  of Namaste London  which released in the year 2007.

The film Namaste England is close to Vipul’s Heart. It is his dream  project. He has been working  hard on this project for quite a some time now.  It is a very special film for Him and he is happy that he will be directing this film.

Namaste England will bring back, Akshay and Vipul together. They both are known to share a great bond and are good friends. Akshay has been part of most of the films that Vipul has directed.

For the time being Vipul and his team are on the look out for a new Actress as the film demands a fresh pairing. The movie is expected to release in 2016

The song - Aaj Ki Party is a total fun song, full Salman Khan style. The song, set in Old Delhi, has been shot on a lavish scale with over 300 dancers and has been sung by hit singer Mika Singh and composed by Pritam. With such a combination of hitmakers on board, the fans would be looking forward for this party number. Let's wait to see if Salman Khan fans take to Aaj Ki Party too.

2nd July 2015: The makers of MIRZYA have announced the release date of one of the most awaited films.

The film, starring debutants Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher, will be the biggest launch vehicle ever for newcomers.

MIRZYA, which is director Rakeysh Mehra’s first love story and his next after the super successful film, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, is a contemporary love story set in Rajasthan. He is leaving no stone unturned for the film and is personally looking into all the minute detailing.

The Director has gone to great lengths to bring on board the best team to be a part of the making of the film. He has even tightened security on the sets to ensure that nothing gets out. So far he has been successful in keeping the entire shoot under wraps.

The last schedule of MIRZYA, co-produced by CINESTAAN Film Company and ROMP Pictures, is currently on.

Gangsters hit bulls-eye!



Meeruthiya Gangsters starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Mukul Dev is a film based on small-town gangsters, but looks like the gang of actors were a far cry from showing their reel streaks in real. An insider reveals that the cast of the Zeishan Quadri film were so professional, that they actually shot the entire film in a start-to-end 48-days schedule. Naturally, not only are the filmmakers impressed with the lot, but they are thrilled with the outcome too. Talking about the month and a half schedule, producer Shoeb Ahmed says, “It’s a dream team! They overcame several obstacles and challenges, but we wrapped earlier than planned, which is almost unheard of in our industry. Zeishan was so clear with what he wanted that there was no delay on that front at all. What also helped was the bonding between the boys, who were totally dedicated to the film right to the end. They literally lived on the sets. That camaraderie between them translates so well on screen too, that they are a treat to watch.”

Shraddha Kapoor on hat-trick of 100 crore films?

Shraddha Kapoor rose to immense popularity with her film Aashiqui 2 that not just garnered love and appreciation from the audiences, but also was a huge box office success by entering the 100 crore club.

Post that, even her next film Ek Villain, did massive business at the box office and raked in over 100 crores.

Now, with her recent release, ABCD 2, the actress is soon set to have a third film in the 100 crore club to her credit.

संजय लीला भंसाली की बाजीराव मस्तानी के सेट पर इफ्तार पार्टी।


संजय लीला भंसाली फ़िलहाल उनके जीवन की सबसे महत्वकांशी फिल्म बाजीराव मस्तानी की शूटिंग में बेहद व्यस्त होते हुए भी उन्होंने अपने कास्ट और कृ के लिए इफ्तार पार्टी की आयोजन किया, बस इतना है उन्होंने इस इफ्तारी पार्टी के लिए मेनू भी खुद ही तय किया साथ में यह भी निश्चित किया की इफ्तारी के समय फिल्म के सारा कृ मौजूद हो । इस मौके पर स्वयं बिरजू महाराज भी मौजूद थे। 
सूत्रों की माने तो " सभी ने एक लंबा ब्रेक लिया , बहुत समय तक सभी गप्पे करते रहे और उसके बाद सभी फिर से शूटिंग में लग गए , यह सभी लोग लम्बे समय से एक दूजे के संग काम कर रहे है उनका आपस में तालमेल भी अच्छा है। यह टीम रातदिन फिल्म पर काम कर रही है , वे हर काम शेडूल पर डेडलाइन पूरा करने पर ध्यान दे रहे है।  अगर इतनी व्यस्तता में एक ब्रेक मिल जाए तो सचमुच यह टीम को  बेहद रिफ्रेश कर देता है।
