स्टार शेफ विकास खन्ना की किताब उत्सव - अ कलिनर्य् एपिक ऑफ़ इंडियन फेस्टिवल इस किताब का विमोचन ६८ वे कांन्स इंटरनेशनल फिल्म फैस्टिवल दरम्यान किया गया। यह किताब भारतीय व्यंजन और उससे जुड़े रीतिरिवाज ,परम्पराए और समुदाय पर आधारित है , यह किताब फिल्ममेकर्स काफी सराह्या है।
फ्रेंच फिल्म मेकर और अभिनेत्री मैवेन उन्होंने अपनी फ्रेंच फिल्म मोन रॉय (माय किंग ) को कान्स में शो केस किया। इस साल वह भारत में ही एक फिल्म बनाने की इच्छा व्यक्त की है कि और आस्चर्य से विकास की किताब से काफी मोहित हो गए।
सूत्रों की माने तो " मैवेन विकास से मिली और उनके किताब की प्रशंशा की तथा किताब पर चर्चा की और किताब पर फिल्म निर्माण की भी बात की।
विकास कहते है " जी हा हम कान्स फिल्म फेस्टिवल के दौरान हम मिले और किताब पर विस्तार से बात की। मैवेन को किताब का कांसेप्ट काफी पसंद आया और उन्होंने इसे अगले मुकाम पर लेजाने की बात की। अब तक कुछ फाइनल नहीं हुआ है , फिलहाल में किताब को लेकर व्यस्त हु ,इसे पुरे वर्ल्ड के सिटीज में पहुँचाना है इसीलिए में ट्रेवल कर रहा हु।

French filmmaker to make a movie on Vikas Khanna’s book Utsav
Michelin Star chef Vikas Khanna’s book Utsav – A Culinary epic of Indian festivals was unveiled at the 68th Cannes International Film Festival. The book based on cuisines for festivals and rituals for Indian communities was widely appreciated by dignitaries and filmmakers across the globe.
It’s learnt that a popular French filmmaker and actress Maiwenn who showcased her French film Mon Roi (My King) at Cannes this year was quite fascinated by Vikas’s book to the extent that she expressed her wish to make a film on the same in India.
A source informs, “Maiwenn met Vikas and congratulated him on his book. The filmmaker was quite enamoured by the book and also discussed with Vikas the prospect of making a film on it.”
Vikas confirms, “Yes, we met at Cannes and spoke about the book in detail. Maiwenn liked the concept of the book and said that it could be taken on to the next level. But nothing has been finalised yet as I’m busy travelling and taking the book to different cities of the world.”
Kriti Sanon picks up reading
Young actress Kriti Sanon is someone who isn’t very fond of reading.
Yet she is now making an effort to pick up interesting books from the bookstore and is creating a collection for herself.
From the beginning itself Kriti hadn't developed the habit of reading but she has been gathering interesting books for a while.
She is trying to make time to read and is making an effort to develop the habit.
Kriti thinks that reading is an experience in itself and moreover it also helps one to think and imagine. It is also a great way to absorb and create different worlds! In fact Kriti also feels that this helps one enhance their acting skills and proves to be a great medium of learning for an actor.
The collection of books that the actress is gathering is a mix of fictions and non- fictions. She also has collected a few biographies in her mini library.
“I have always been more of a visual person. Given a choice, I would watch a film over reading a book. But of late, I have been picking up some interesting books. They help you broaden your horizon,” says Kriti.
The actress who had one of the best debut launch in the industry with Sajid Nadiadwala's Heropanti, will soon be seen in Rohit Shetty’s film Dilwale.

Kriti Sanon plans her sister's first international trip.
The actress who made her big debut in Sajid Nadiadwala's Heropanti last year was born and brought up in a middle class family in Delhi and is managing on her own in Bombay now.
While Kriti's parents planned her first trip abroad and made it special, the actress wanted to do the same for her younger sister as she is the only one in her family who has not taken an international trip yet.
She has personally looked into all the details right from booking the tickets, her stay, list of places to visit in Thailand.
Kriti shares a very close bond with her sister and she wanted to do this for her.
Her sister is very happy and super excited.
Kriti shares, "I remember how my parents had planned my first international trip and made it special. They had looked into so many details. I want to do the same for my sister. Every thing in life that's first should be a celebration or celebrated with a lot of oomph."

This includes completely free University education for the entire duration of degree program at Rai University, including boarding and lodging for one underprivileged girl nominated by Vidya every year.

What makes this even more special is that I complete 10 years in the Hindi film industry on the 10th june (in 10 days) . For the first time ever, in Indian cinema, there is a museum being created of a film.
This will have all the weapons, armours and costumes of all the actors in the film.
Something like this happens for Hollywood films but this is the first time that its happening for a film in Indian Cinema.

'Dead student’s' song finds way in film now?
Back in 2011, a single Emptiness was making waves all over the internet and the song continues to be a rage till date. The song was credited to an IIT student named Rohan Rathore, who apparently after being heart-broken in love composed the song for his girlfriend. Rohan was said to have died of cancer 15 days after the song. However, soon it came to light that the song had been composed and sung by Gajendra Verma and that Rohan Rathore was a phony name with an equally bogus story. Now, after releasing the hit in an album, the music composer has decided to lend his song for a film Chor Bazaari that stars newbie Ankkit Narrayan. Ironically, the said to be ‘stolen’ song is being used in a film whose hero is a chor as the profession has been passed on to him in his genes!

To help curb the honking menace in Mumbai, 93.5 Red FM has initiated ‘Don’t be Horny’ campaign in association with the Mumbai Traffic Police, for a period of three weeks to sensitize citizens on this.
