Javed Akhtar to host ‘Classic Legends Season 3’

Starting 2 November, 13 legends of Bollywood will be showcased in the series

Mumbai, October 29, 2014: Zee Classic, the one-stop destination for classic and blockbuster movies of yesteryears, returns with the third season of its popular series, Classic Legendsbeing produced by ZEEL’s creative and production studio, Essel Vision Productions Ltd. Govinda turns prankster on the sets of Kill Dil

Ranveer Singh loves Govinda’s style of dance and presence. Ranveer as we know is an ardent lover of Govinda not only as a dancer but as an actor too.

He also has a special collection of Govinda’s songs. They would dance whenever they would get an opportunity.

After the schedule wrapped up shooting for their next project Kill Dil in Kuchesar, Uttar Pradesh there were big speakers that had come for the song shooting which were playing Ranveer Singh’s collection of Govinda’s songs.

The unit was afraid as Govinda was asleep in the room adjacent to the shoot location hence they kept reducing the volume of the speakers, Ranveer was in his element and would go and raise the volume.

After a while Govinda came out of door with a very grim expression that frightened everyone, he surprised them all by shaking a leg with them. Eventually Ranveer Singh and Govinda had a dance off.

Govinda was overwhelmed with the love that everyone had showed towards him that he got emotional.

Sidharth Malhotra does not leave home without protein bars

Sidharth Malhotra has been on a high protein diet for his upcoming project ‘Brothers’.

The actor plays a wrestler in the film and he has been bulking up for his role. His look is completely different from his previous films.

In order to bulk up he has had to increase muscle weight in his body for which he has been consuming foods rich in proteins.

Therefore he has been on a high protein diet. He includes fish in most of his meals. He makes it a point to eat protein rich food.

In fact, Sidharth does not leave home without his protein bars. They are an important part of his diet.

He keeps a strict check on what he consumes everyday.

The actor has been training very hard to get into the skin of a professional wrestler.

He has been working out and is undergoing extensive training to build muscle. He has already put on 8-9 kilos.

SRK - Deepika score a Hat-trick

​Deepika Padukone made a dream debut with Shahrukh Khan in Om Shanti Om.

The film went on to become made one of the most memorable films. Infact it had a fantastic run at the box office where it collected 80 crores.

Post her debut Deepika has been steadily climbing the success ladder and delivering films like Love Aaj Kal, Bachana Ae Haseeno, Cocktail to name a few.

However, Deepika and Shahrukh’s Jodi is one of the most hit and successful pairs.

The two made their second outing with Chennai Express. The film went on to break all records and made a whopping 200 crores at the box office.

The film got applause from all quarters and wemt on to become a mega blockbuster which broke all records by becoming the first film to make 200 crores.

The third time around now, now with Happy New Year the hit pair has created a new record of being the first film to collect 100 crores in just 3 days.

The SRK-Deepika jodi has scored a hattrick this time around.

While SRK is loved by the audience. Deepika’s performance in all three films have garnered appreciation and much applause.

Her characters are memorable and her performance has been much talked about.

Ironically infact two of these three films – Om Shanti Om and Happy New year have released on Diwali.

Based on Gillian Flynn novel and directed by the competent David Fincher who has successfully helm films The Curious Case of Benjamin Button [2008] and The Social Network [2010] now with his latest offering ‘Gone Girl’ he goes beyond the parameters of suspense and drama. The director takes us to the forbidding areas of a married couple which has gone terribly wrong, as the line ‘this is what marriages are about’ which the protagonist says can surely send a wrong message to the wannabes to get into the paradise of nuptials.

Its fifth wedding anniversary of Nick Dunne [Ben Affleck] same morning when he returns home and to his shock he discovers that his wife Amy [Rosamund Pike] is missing. The media goes frenzy as Amy is the daughter of parents who wrote a string of “Amazing Amy” stories. Detective Rhonda [Dickens] and Jim [Fugit] arrive at the scene of crime and observe some evidence indicating trouble between the couple. Therefore making Nick the primary suspect, he is only supported by his sister Margo [Coon].They hire Tanner Bolt [Perry] a defense attorney who specializes in defending husbands accused of killing their wives and help them to uplift their public image. As the truth uncovers about Amy’s missing some horrifying facts come out.

The film unfolds from one frame to another with measured intensity creating a subtle anxiety about the story and character realization. No technical razzmatazz, a fine cinematic experience which is very rare.

Dibakar Banerjee ropes in Delhi Band “Joint Family” for Detective Byomkesh Bakshi

The intriguing teaser trailer of Dibakar Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshi which got launched last week has garnered a lot of appreciation and gathered great excitement.

Apart from the teaser being captivating, the music of the song has got a lot of attention. The song is a key element in the teaser of the film.

Everyone who heard the song kept thinking that the song belongs to a band from abroad or the style was close to that of Vishal-Shekhar. Dibakar kept the curiosity high by not talking about who the song belonged to.

Social media has been abuzz where everyone has been trying to guess who the singer for the song is.

The track which has been used in the teaser is called Life's a Bitch which is composed by a popular five piece nu-metal band from New Delhi, Joint Family. The Delhi based band will also be converting this song into Hindi.

The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput for the title role and Swastika Mukherjee who will be seen playing the role of Anguri.

Byomkesh Bakshy is the biggest and the most famous detective character on the India Television. This is the first time a movie will be made on him.

The film is being directed by Dibakar Banerjee and will be produced by YRF and Dibakar Banerjee Productions.     

Dibakar said,”It's funny how a lot of people thought we have taken some firang band ka track for the teaser. I saw a hilarious You Tube comment that moaned how I too, like some other directors, had become a copycat and stolen some music off the net!

Joint Family, like Byomkesh - is a pure desi talent from Delhi that's been putting the Indie nu metal scene on fire since 2007/8. Their kickass track Life's a Bitch features in the Byomkesh teaser and will feature in the film as an important track. I guess when something truly sensational and world class breaks through - we are a bit reluctant to accept that it's homegrown and genuine.

And this is just the beginning. A whole bag of raw Indian Indie music talent will feature in the soundtrack of Byomkesh Bakshy and we will keep unveiling Desi Indie bands that deserve a place in the world stage!”

प्रियंका चोपड़ा ने अपनी आगामी फिल्म बाजीराव मस्तानी की शूटिंग शुरू कर दी है। इस फिल्म में १७ वि सदी की मराठी भाषा का उपयोग किया जाना है तो, प्रियंका पेशवाई मराठी लहजा पाने के लिए वे अब विशेषज्ञ की मदत ले रही है। 

​असल में बी मराठी पेशवा दिखने के लिए एक कोच भी सेट पर रखा गया है। पेशवा मराठी में शब्द कठिन और जरा अलग होते है ​तो प्रियंका ने १५ दिनों के लिए विशेष इस भाषा का प्रशिक्षण लेंगी। संजय लीला भंसाली ने भी यह ख्याल रखा है की सेट पर इस भाषा को लेकर कोई मुश्किल न हो इसलिए कोच सेट पर हमेशा मौजूद रहे और शब्द और भाषा के लहजे पर ध्यान रकजे और समय समय पर मदत करे।

​सुजीत इस फिल्म्स से एक बार फिर अपना जादू बिखेर ने लिए तैयार है वे कहते है " पीकू केवल एक ऐसी  स्टोरी   आपके दिल को छू जायेगी। ​इस फिल्म में पहली बार अच्छे टैलेंट अमिताभ बच्चन दीपिका एक साथ होगे,  पुत्री के भूमिका में। यह मेरे लिए काफी सन्मान की  बात में अमिताभ जी , दीपिका और इरफ़ान खान जैसे पावर हाउस परफॉर्मर्स के साथ काम कर हु। 

अमिताभ बच्चन कहते है " फिल्म की मेकिंग करते हुए मजा आ रहा है , सुजीत के साथ  की स्टारकास्ट दीपिका और इरफ़ान काफी प्रतिभावान है। फिल्म की कहानी बड़ी रोचक है और सेट पर काफी उत्साहपूर्ण माहौल है। 

इरफ़ान  कहते है " इस साल में कई और प्रोजेक्ट्स  कर रहा हु उनमे से पीकू मेरे लिए खास है। में इस  फिल्म  लिए बेहद  उत्साही हु। 

दीपिका ने कहा " यह मेरे लिए बड़ी गर्व  की बात है की ,में बड़े स्टार्स के साथ पीकू में हु। में इस फिल्म के लिए घबराई तो हु लेकिन उत्साहित भी ज्यादा हु ,में जिस तरह की फिल्म करना चाहती हु वैसी हि यह फिल्म है।  दिन सेट पर उल्हास  हु।  में इस फिल्म के किरदार को परदे पर जिन्दा करना चाहती हु , मुझे उम्मीद है लोग इसे जरूर पसंद करेंगे। 

पीकू प्रस्तावित ३० अप्रेल २०१५ को  प्रदर्शित होगी।
