Ekkees Toppon ki Salaami team to host Live Rock Concert

The team of Ekkees
T
oppon ki Salaami is hosting a live Rock Concert in Delhi, tomorrow, 26th September to launch the music of the film.

The entire team of the film along with the  Ram Samapth, Mohit Chauhan, Sona Mohapatra, Aman Trikha, Tarannum Malik and Earl Edgar will be giving a live performance at Galgotias College in Delhi.

They will be performing in front of a crowd of 15000 students!

The first two songs of the film "Tod De Khattar" and “Ghoor Ghoor Ke” have received a raving response. Both the songs have tracked a lot.

Tod De Khattar is the theme track of the film and underlines the philosophy of the film. The song has become a popular number so much so that it has caught the ears of the night clubs and lounges.
It
has become one of the recurringly played songs at the late night spots.

Ghoor Ghoor Ke, on the other hand, has not only gathered a lot of eye balls it has also created an anticipation for the comical satire film.

Sona Mohapatra said, "Ghoor Ghoor Ke" is one of my best vocal performances till date & is a classic desi dance track & very different from all my other releases in 2014. A song in the villians den is a genre onto itself in Bollywood & Ghoor Ghoor Ke is an ode to that. I love that the lyrics literally asks that the men stop 'leching' & ‘staring’!!

Ram Sampath said, “It’s been a pleasure working on the music of Ekees Topon Ki Salami, a film with its heart firmly in the right place. The album showcases a range of genres & singers, both new & established from Tod De Katar, a modern ghazal Hum Tumein to a Bollywood classic dance track in Ghoor Ghoor Ke . The lyricist Sandeep Nath has done a fantastic job & it's been a pleasure recording singers like Mohit Chauhan, Labh Jhanjua, Aman Trikha, Earl & others.”

The entire team is very excited for the concert in Delhi.

Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami is produced by Nautanki Films in association with Shikhar Films and is being co-presented by Jayantilal Gada (Pen).

*****

‘Two Night Stand’ a rom – com directed by Max Nichols and written by Mark Hammer is an inspiring insight into the fast lane of today’s youth yearning to kill the boredom even if it’s just one night stand but if it goes beyond that is it love or lust ?

An unattractive recluse Megan [Analeigh Tipton] is perturbed by her fellow roommate Faiza [Jessica Szohr] who’s on a wild date with her boyfriend but needs more space for their lusty weekend.

Faiza quarrel’s about her private space leaving Megan with no choice but to fancy a date online with no inhibitions about the perfect match left for her. Her exploration for a quick pick leads to one profile of Alec [Miles Teller] which catches her fancy. A video chat is enough for her to decide on a one night stand with Alec at his apartment.

The next morning leads to chaos as Megan feels affronted about a remark on her moral value which Alec whispered In half sleep leaving Megan exasperated to leave the place in panic but the huge snowfall of the New Year Eve disgruntles her exit and she has to hold for one more night at Alec’s apartment. In consequence it’s her Two Night Stand with Alec.

What is mainly interesting is their pleasurable word war and not the lovemaking which generates the engaging mood to watch such genre movies, making it idiosyncratically different from the run of the mill stuff.

Miles Teller as Alec
Analeigh Tipton as Megan
Leven Rambin as Daisy

tête-à-tête with Kishore Pratim Biswas

01.     Tell us about your show?
That time, I was around 5 to 6 years old. I stayed in a place where the steam locomotives use to come. And I was always running out to watch them, and hours and hours I watched and sketch them. This is my old memory of childhood. I try to recall that memory and translate into the canvas.

Presently there is no Steam Locomotive around us. Now you might be seen in the museum or other places as antic. My objective is to present those locomotives to the new generation through this show.

It’s Nostalgia of YOU & Me…

02.     What is the story behind the title of the show?

Nostalgic is always an emotional memories of childhood, which we never forget, which is always being with us. Those exciting memories always feel you happy, and … Makes you sentimental…

…Same thing is happening with me. I never forget those memories of my early days. Where, I spent time with the locomotives. Day by day I was running to the locomotives. Still now, I feel the steams of the locomotives, I love the sound of whistling “…Choo… Choo… Choo…”

Those are my happiest day in my life… Those are the memory always recall me… and encourage me to do series of canvas of the steam locomotives …

That’s why the title of the exhibition is “Nostalgia of Steam Locomotives”.

03.     How important is mood in your Painting?

This is an impressionistic approach in my work. I try to portray the environment of the steam locomotive workshop of 70’s.

04.  How would you describe your technique & style?

The technique & style is very simple, this is an acrylic painting on canvas. Here, I try to use the method of color perspective and contrast of lighting, best composition in all over the painting. The form and space division is very strong.  Mostly I use the monotonic color palate like; Sepia, Gray, Black & White. Just because of, the paintings are looking more of mature and old.

05.   Who are your inspirations?

I am inspired by myself, who is always working head, optimistic, and believe in own philosophy. My philosophy is “devotion in the work, producing the best work, achieving the goal”.

06.   What is the message from your work to the audience?

Presently there is no Steam Locomotive around us. Now you might be it’s seen in a museum or other places as antic. I try to recall those images and translate into my painting.

My objective is to present those locomotives to the new generation through this show.

The message is very simple; please come “Watch it, believe it, Feel it from your insight”.

…You fall in Nostalgia of Steam Locomotive…

A series on canvas By Kishore Pratim Biswas

One of the India’s significant expressionist independent artist, KISHORE PRATIM BISWAS is a journey of around 13 years of modern contemporary Art movement. He opted for an unconventional thought, style in his painting. Born in Kolkata in the state of West Bengal in 1971, he was fond of art since childhood. He did his graduation in Fine Art from Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata in 1997. In 2009 he came in Maharastra, and permanently setup a studio in Mumbai.

The talented artist started off by primarily painting in watercolors. However, he gradually switched to painting Acrylic on canvas. His art practice stands on a solid intellectual platform and his works reflect a unique streak, where in color is of great importance, and form happens to be only incidental. He also applies use of the texture in the canvas as well as experimental method to finish his paintings. On the other hand, Kishore chose to experiment with an array of mediums like acrylic, oil, watercolor, mix media, charcoal & soft pastels.

He had his solo exhibition in Kolkata in 1996, and a year later at the various group shows around the India. He is not as like renowned contemporary artist in India, still a fact now acknowledged by the market, many collectors of modern Indian art now slowly collect his works.
Story & Concept note about the show:
I was born in a place where I had the opportunity to see STEAM LOCOMOTIVES. It was 1976 to 1988; throughout the day I was watching the steam locomotives, it was running in front of me with the sound of whistling and steam. For me it was big nostalgia. The huge presence of his body, with the color of dark black and white smoke, it was making me crazy. I never forget the smells of steam. Everything encouraged me to bring them down at the surface of my canvas.
I went to the locomotive workshop day after day to study them from a close look. I remember that, the using of black, brown, sepia and white color palette was making me extremely mad. I seriously had fallen in love to study of steam locomotive engine. I felt the huge weight of the engine, when it was passing through me. I loved everything about them.
The fireman and driver were always in a particular dress of dark blue with a cap. All time they were looked black because of the dust of coal and grease. I loved to sketch them, study their faces with pen and ink, charcoal and soft pastel pencil. I was always being touchy to draw them. I tried to catch their emotions in their character. Watching their lifestyles, listening their story, sometimes I might be their family friend. Sometimes they lunched under the engine, sometimes sitting in the line, sometimes in the engine. They have a particular aluminum lunchbox. In lunch time they were chatting out family story and all. Occasionally I used to join with them. Still now I recall the smell of food.
That is how the Nostalgia of steam locomotives came.

Rhea Chakraborty's date clash

Sonali Cable was set  to release on big screen on October 10, but now it has been pushed to October 17.  Rohan wants his lead actress Rhea to promote the film for some more time; hence the date of release was changed. But unfortunately it turns out that Yash Raj Films, which manages Rhea’s work, has not allotted Rhea’s dates to the filmmaker.

A inside source close of the filmmaker says, “YRF was informed in advance about this possible change of date and in any case, small budget films need to be promoted. So we need Rhea’s dates but YRF has not given her dates for a week. It’s unfortunate that they are doing this with regards to their talent working for another producer.”

Rohan Sippy admits confirms that they are currently facing issues with Rhea’s dates. “I don’t know if she can promote the film or not. But it’s strange that Rhea’s management is not reverting to us about her dates. Since she plays the title character, we can’t finalize the promotion schedule,” he says.

The filmmaker adds that young actors should understand the importance of promoting a film, even the super stars make themselves free and promote it.
“This helps their producers create visibility for them. I don’t understand how YRF can have double standards. Recently, they pushed ahead Dawaat-e-Ishq’s release and I’m sure they expected Aditya and Parineeti to promote their film for some more time. It’s a given that a film has to be promoted closer to its release. Hopefully, we will get Rhea’s dates,” he says.

Rhea’s spokesperson from YRF said, “While Sonali Cable is a big and important film for Rhea, she has several contractual commitments that were finalised months in advance. Bank Chor, where she plays the lead opposite Ritesh Deshmukh, is just one of them. She will do her best to promote the film and do all that is required of her.”

Sonali Cable, starring Rhea Chakraborty, Ali Fazal, Raghav Juyal "CrockRoaxz" and Anupam Kher, written and directed by Charudutt Acharya, produced by Ramesh Sippy, Rohan Sippy, Roopa de Choudhury and Kamia Mulhotra under the banner of Ramesh Sippy Entertainment in association with BombayMania Production Pvt. Ltd. and is a HBS Raksha Movies Fund release.

Sonali Cable is slated for 17th October 2014 release.
