Radio Mirchi Brings Back the ‘Jubilees’
Honors the chartbusters of the 1st
half of the year

growth of Music in the country! Be it honoring the legends of music with Mirchi Music Awards,
introducing the latest film chartbusters with Mirchi Music Premier or keeping the
listeners in tune with the best and most popular numbers of the season with Mirchi Top 20,
Radio Mirchi has always shown its support towards the music fraternity.

Top 20 powered by Provogue Power Deos today has become a gold standard for ranking
of songs both by the music industry as well as the listeners. Carrying forward the
legacy and popularity, the station has revamped its decade long property into
an absolutely refreshing and youthful avatar with a new soundscape. In its new version,
Mirchi Top 20 will engage listeners through an interactive digital platform
where they can vote for their favorite song and keep themselves updated about
the latest Bollywood chartbusters. Not just this, the top 20 hits of the year
will be showcased on an annual TV show as well.
As
an extension of the revamped and brand new version of Mirchi Top 20, Radio
Mirchi has introduced a new initiative called ‘The Return of the Jubilee’ to honor the chartbusters of the first
half of the year in a glittering award ceremony.
To
kick start the celebrations, Radio Mirchi organized an exciting and fun-filled
award ceremony at Hard Rock Café, Mumbai
amidst the best of music talent from the industry. Hosted by Radio Mirchi’s RJ
Suren, the event was graced by some of the superstars of the Bollywood
Music industry such as Shankar Ehsaan,
Loy, Meet Bros and Anjjan, Sajid-Wajid, Irshad Kamil,
Neha Kakkar, Chinmayi Sriparda, Palak
Muchhal and many more.
The
evening also saw some mesmerizing performances by Mohammad Irfan, Ankit Tiwari and Palak Muchhal. Neha Kakkar
and Aman Trikha made everyone swing
onto the dance floor with their hit numbers.
Announcing
the Return of Jubilees, Prashant Panday,
Managing Director and CEO, ENIL said, “We
have been working very closely with the music industry, to give music its due
in our country. Return of the Jubilees, is yet another initiative to support
the industry, in line with our philosophy of ‘Music ko Mirchi ka salaam’. It is an extension of Mirchi Top 20, an

Songs
that were a hit on Mirchi Top 20 chart and ruled the playlist for a period of
75 and 50 days were recognized and applauded in Platinum and Gold
category, respectively. Babydoll was
in the Top 5 of the Mirchi Top 20 for 12 weeks, thus making it the only
Platinum Disc winner.
Meet
Bros, Anjjan and the entire Babydoll team walked home with the Platinum Disc
Award. Golden Disc Awards were swept by Offo
& Mast Magan (2 States), Palat (Main Tera Hero), Sunny Sunny (Yaariyan) and Patakha Guddi
(Highway).
