ON THE NEW 3D ACTION ADVENTURE

July 14, 2014 – Principal photography is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ new Tarzan 3D action adventure, starring Alexander Skarsgård (HBO’s “True Blood”) as the legendary character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs. 

David Yates, who helmed the last four “Harry Potter” blockbusters, including “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Parts 1 & 2,” is directing.  Jerry Weintraub (“Behind the Candelabra,” the “Ocean’s” trilogy) is producing the film, together with David Barron (the “Harry Potter” films, upcoming “Cinderella”).  Susan Ekins, Nikolas Korda, David Yates, Mike Richardson and Bruce Berman are serving as executive producers.

The feature also stars Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson (“Pulp Fiction,” the “Captain America” films), Margot Robbie (“The Wolf of Wall Street”), Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (“Blood Diamond,” “Gladiator”), Oscar nominee John Hurt (“The Elephant Man,” the “Harry Potter” films), and two-time Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz (“Inglourious Basterds,” “Django Unchained”).

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side.  Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz).  But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.

The adventure is being shot at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden, as well as on location around the UK.

Collaborating with Yates behind the scenes, the creative team includes director of photography Henry Braham (“The Golden Compass”), Oscar-winning production designer Stuart Craig (“Dangerous Liaisons,” “The English Patient,” the “Harry Potter” films), editor Mark Day (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Parts 1 & 2”), and Oscar-nominated costume designer Ruth Myers (“Emma,” “Unknown”).

A Jerry Weintraub production, the Tarzan action adventure is slated for release beginning July 1, 2016, and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.

The actress will be learning salsa for the film as she will be playing a dancer in the film. The actress has always been a great dancer and she knows the basics of Salsa but her role in the film requires her to know the dance form with a rather professional nuance.

She will going through a month’s training to learn the dance form perfectly.

She is training for three to four hours per day in order to learn the style seamlessly.

​Moreover, Kriti is dancing in stilettos, ​

that are required to be worn for this dance form. She is a graceful dancer and is quickly able to get the moves.

The real Mardaani

Rani Mukherji has trained really hard for her upcoming film Mardaani. She will be performing tough action sequences. The film’s first look poster is out and it literally has Rani’s sweat, blood and tears.

While shooting for the poster Rani’s co-actor Anil George accidently injured her toe which started bleeding profusely. Rani was in a lot of pain and the bleeding took quite some time to subside even with first aid.

Since the camera was rolling, this was captured on camera and since it looked so real, the shot has been used in the poster of the film. The poster has grabbed a lot of eyeballs and has been receiving an incredible response.

The trailer of Mardaani too has been appreciated well and received a lot of positive feedback. Rani's portrayal as a tough cop has been applauded.

Mardaani is a gritty cop film on trafficking in India. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra, it will release on 22nd August ’14.

As the preparations take over the entire house, both the Chopra and Narayan family plan to leave no stone unturned as they organise a splendid wedding complete of all the traditional ceremonies such as Sangeet and Haldi.

Shilpa Shinde who plays the part of Koyal said, “The entire set is abuzz with wedding preparations which has made all of us feel that we are a part of a real wedding. The set looks exquisite and resembles the venue of a big fat Indian wedding. The entire team has put in a lot of effort for this particular sequence and I am sure that all our viewers will love it.”

Debina Bonnerjee aka Mayuri said, “Now-a-days, we see a lot of fanfare at weddings which make these events larger than life. In this particular sequence, our (Narayan) family is helping another family to make their wedding a huge success by catering to all the guests and lending a helping hand. We have done a similar sequence in the past and I love all the different song and dance activities happening on the sets.”

Sajid Nadiadwala misses the mahurat of Tamasha for Kick

Producer turned director Sajid Nadiadwala who is extremely busy with the post production of his directorial debut, Kick had to miss the mahurat of his next film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, Tamasha.

It is learnt that the filmmaker was unable to attend the mahurat of his new film Tamasha helmed by director Imtiaz Ali as he has been spending most of his time in the editing room these days.

A source from the production house asserts, “Sajid sir has spent more than 72 hours at a stretch inside the editing room.  He is so caught up with Kick that he decided to skip flying to France.”

Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir Kapoor were extremely keen to have Sajid present. Since he wasn't, both called him as soon as the Muharat shoot was taken.

Tamasha starring the most celebrated couple in B’town, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone had its mahurat on 11 of July. The film kick starts its first schedule at the picturesque locations of Corsica, located in South France.

This will be the second collaboration of Sajid Nadiadwala and Imtiaz Ali after the successful Highway that released early this year.

Sajid Nadiadwala had a great run in the first half of this year with back to back successes. With Tamasha, he is gearing up for another such line up of films. Tamasha is one of the big films of next year.

We are seeing him not only investing in a lot of young talent but also in varied content.

Sajid Nadiadwala, who has been a creative producer in the industry for over 27 years now, is making his directorial debut with the Salman Khan starrer, Kick. He may not have directed a film before, but he has worked with extremely talented directors and gained a lot of experience in the whole process. He will apply all of it to Kick, which is one of the most anticipated releases. The film is slated to release this Eid.‎

11th July, 2014; Mumbai: It was one of the heaviest rainy days in Mumbai but that didn't dampen team Bazaar-e-husn's spirits who had gathered to felicitate legendary music composer Khayyam saab. The Umrao Jaan music composer has recently worked on Bazaar-e-Husn, based on Munshi Premchandji's  Urdu novel Bazaar E Husn. 

"I fetched a copy of the novel when I got to know about this movie. Munshi Premchandji is the soul, we have just worked to the best of our abilities." said Khayyam saab.

Producer A K Mishra shared, "It's a lifetime achievement to work on a project like this. With names like Munshi Premchandji and Khayyam saab associated with the movie, I couldn't have asked for more."

Actors Yashpal Sharma and Jeet Goswami, director Ajay Mehra, Writer Dhananjay, Lyricist Ahmed Wasi,  Director Ajay Mehra , executive producer Manohar Thakur and producer A K Mishra were present at the event.

Always adored in a romantic avatar, Kakaji will now be seen in the role of a Don for the first and last time. India’s first Superstar Rajesh Khanna’s Riyasat is about a powerful Don ‘Sahab’ who is worshipped by the people. Unfortunately, Kakaji passed away while shooting for the film. Producers Vijay Sirohi and Diwaker Singhal shared, “The biggest tribute to Kakaji would be ensuring that Riyasat reaches to every fan of his. Kakaji’s character Sahab is inspired by The Godfather. But we’ll see Sahab in a true Rajesh Khanna style.”

The movie is directed by Ashok Tyagi and Riyasat also features Gauri Kulkarni, Aryan Vaid, Aryeman Ramsay and Raza Murad.

Manoj Nandwana, Riyasat will release on the occasion of Kakaji’s second death anniversary on 18th July 2014.

Actress and Ex-Thespian Huma Qureshi attended the first orientation meeting of the 16th season of Thespo on July 17, 2014 at the celebrated Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai. The orientation meeting was organized as the initial phase of Thespo 16’s journey to interact with budding and potential participants. The Orientation Meetings are a point of contact as well as a roadmap to the annual journey of the buzzing affair.

Titled Thespo 16 “Plug-In to the Tamasha”, the event started with the opening song followed by screening of the Thespo AV. A scene from the play The E.Q. was staged, which was also the part of last years Thespo 15 festival. Followed by this the plans for Thespo 16 were introduced to the attendees during the meeting. Huma took the centre-stage amidst the packed audience of over 243 participants and shared her journey and experience of Thespo.

Actress Huma Qureshi, commented, “Theatre is a form of unique performance art that presents the experience of a real or imagined event before a live audience. I am happy and proud that my career began with Thespo, it has helped me throughout my professional career. Tiger Shroff will give first look of his Michael Jackson

Tiger Shroff had recently proclaimed his love for pop icon Michael Jackson. Using his dance skills, Tiger has just finished shooting for a video as his tribute to Michael Jackson. The actor will be seen dancing to a mix of songs from his film Heropanti and Jackson's hit 'Billy Jean' from his album Thriller. 

But before it is released in the public domain for everyone to watch, Tiger wants to show the video to his mentor, Sajid Nadiadwala.

Tiger, who made his big debut in Sajid Nadiadwala's Heropanti feels that it is Sajid sir who has nurtured his talent so it is very natural for him to show his work to Sajid Nadiadwala for his feedback.

Sajid Nadiadwala has been in the industry for about 27 years now as a producer so any feedback coming from him would be extremely valuable for Tiger, who has just started his career.

For the cinema crazy Indian audience this is the first time to own merchandise inspired from their loved characters and films. This is also the first time that such a collaboration has happened in the Indian film industry, though few International studios have been successfully doing it over the years. In line with Phantom’s philosophy of exploring new content, Happily Unmarried have created some cool merchandise units which are available across their stores and on their website too. The collection has quirky mugs, T-shirts, Cushion covers, doormats and a host of other interesting daily use stuff to pick from. The collection will be refurbished every 3-4 months and also with their forthcoming films.

Shahid receives appreciation from Kashmir for Haider trailer.

Shahid Kapoor has been receiving rave reviews for the trailer from critics and audiences.

Twitter has been a buzz about his look,  his performance and the trailer at large.

Shahid has gone great lengths for his  role in the film.The ace actor shred his hair and has extensively shot in extreme weather conditions in Kashmir.

Also during the time he spent a lot of time alone to get into he skin of his character.
He was largely withdrawn except that Shahid spoke to the locals there... heard their stories.

He felt that the story of Haider connected with the people of Kashmir at some level.

Shahid was however pleasantly surprised post the trailer launch when his manager shared that among the sea of calls two ladies from Kashmir whom they had met during the shoot reached out to her and praised the trailer no bounds.

They also mentioned that Shahid's eyes itself are doing so much of talking in the trailer . They pointed out that his eyes have some pain which they have seen in people around them.... people in Kashmir and their journey

They had a lengthy talk with his manager and spoke highly about how they really liked the trailer and Shahid has done a fantastic job and how they cannot wait to watch the film.

Shahid is extremely touched by their gesture. While he has not been able to call them back. He is truly humbled by them reaching out.

Director Shashank Khaitan makes a mockery out of legendary SRK fairy tale romance DDLJ and best part is it’s under the banner of Karan Johar. Bollywood gurus are short of ideas of new age romance thus fiddling with the golden archives.

Smart part is the director is eager to improvise the chemistry of lovers, father and daughter conflicts and to more a witty climax which can be appalling to the yo generation. 

All heard and seen a small town girl Kavya [Alia Bhatt] lands in a city with a funny ambition to buy a designer lehenga worth five lacs as her rich father Singh [Ashutosh Rana] cannot afford to buy one for her daughter’s upcoming marriage with a rich NRI ?

Extremely extrovert Kavya bumps into Humpty Sharma aka Rakesh [Varun Dhawan] &co Shonty [Gaurav Pandey] Poplu [Sahil Vaid] as they are doing an extortion to get the mark sheets from a college professor who happens to be Kavya’s Uncle, though this encounter is enough for Humpty to be head over heel in love with Kavya.

As a mission starts to fulfill the lehenga dream, love blossoms in air and the D day nears of Kavya’s marriage. Will Humpty win over the hearts of Kavya’s family in a five day mission?

Ashutosh Rana reminisce the fond memory of unforgettable Amrish Puri in his character of Kavya’s father by repeating the lines ‘ja jee le apni zindagi’.

Varun Dhawan surely is defining the entertainment with his very natural and adorable acting skills, Alia is at ease with a role which has less range of intense lovers but does it with a chic approach. Siddharth Shukla sets the standard right of a typical bollywood magnetism when he enters, but is wasted with a abrupt climax.

The upcoming laughter riot of the year, written and directed by Farhad-Sajid, 'It's Entertainment' will now be called 'Entertainment'. This change in the film's title will be shown in the next few days in all the film's posters and trailers.

'Yes from the beginning, we just wanted to have a one word tittle and we are okay with Entertainment. the title was registered with some other production house but we got it on Wednesday. So I am happy that we have this title with us' says producer, Ramesh Taurani.'
