Talking about his five dysfunctinal characters in the film Homi Adajania says, "Love makes normal people do nutty things. But what if they were already a little nutty to begin with? I absolutely love this film. My producer, Dinesh Vijan, knew I would drive him insane and went out on a limb to back me. Deepika and Arjun Kapoor signed onto the film before Chennai Express and Two States had released and didn’t waiver because they had the same conviction. I couldn’t make the film without Naseer because his character was written for him. As for Dimple, if I make a film without her she will have my head on a platter. A great joy I experienced was being introduced to Pankaj Kapur. He is a phenomenal actor and it was a fabulous experience directing him. Finding Fanny was shot and wrapped in 36 days, a shoot-experience that was almost as goof-ball and hilarious as the story itself."

Sometimes you just have to embrace the madness or you'll go mad yourself. And as much fun Finding Fanny is, what appealed to me is the absurdly fresh way love, heartache and  happiness have been explored. The characters are as dysfunctional as my director is!" 

Finding Fanny is presented by Fox Star Studios and is a Maddock production. The film releases on September 12.

Tiger Shroff does not turn down any requests from his teachers

Tiger Shroff respects his teachers and never turns down any requests coming from them.

When Tiger’s debut film Heropanti released, his gym trainer had held a personal special screening of the film for two consecutive days in Vasai. Tiger’s trainer wished for his student to be present at the screening and as a dutiful student, Tiger attended the screening on both the days.

In another instance, Tiger’s dance teacher was keen for Tiger to attend an event at a college in Badlapur. He requested Tiger to attend the function and he did.

Tiger is a dedicated and disciplined guy who trains hard. He feels that his teachers play a very important part in where he has reached today and so is always ready to give back to them in any way possible.

Riding high on the success of his debut film Heropanti, Tiger recently shot a video as his tribute to his idol Michael Jackson. Tiger is going to be seen dancing in this video with his dance teacher, to the songs of Heropanti as well as MJ’s iconic songs.

When Tiger was approached to comment on the story, he was embarrassed and said, “They are my teachers and if there is anything they need me to do, I will make myself available as much as I can.”

Praise has been flowing in for the trailer and the impact has been very strong.

It has garnered appreciation from not only the audiences and from people of the industry but also from crime branch officials.

Rani Mukherji, who is essaying the role of a crime branch officer in the film, met a lot of people from various police departments while she was prepping for her role.

Receiving admiration and applause from the people you are portraying gives a different high.

Also others from the industry who could not stop talking about this action packed trailer of Mardaani and Rani's portrayal of a crime branch officer with a strong message were renowned people from the industry like Aamir Khan, Shekhar Kapur, Raj Kumar Gupta and Ali Abbas Zafar.

Cousins Mohit Suri-Emraan Hashmi To Come Together Again For ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’

Director Mohit Suri, who recently wowed everyone with ‘Ek Villain’, has worked with cousin Emraan Hashmi in films such as ‘Zeher’, ‘Kalyug’ and ‘Awaarapan’ and it now seems that the hit duo is gearing up to team up again.

Mohit recently confirmed the news and revealed that he is planning his next film ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ with Emraan. Suri said, “Yes, Hamari Adhuri Kahani is most likely to star Emraan. It has been a while since we worked together. It’s always great working with him. We started out together as assistant directors. He achieved stardom before me and he is someone I look up to. The film will be a thriller with its share of good music like our films have always had.”

Emraan ‘Hitman’ Hashmi is currently busy with Kunal Deshmukh’s con caper ‘Raja Natwarlal’.

The mouthwatering love story of Dawaat E Ishq was launched yesterday evening at a special iftar party.

Both the actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra were present for the launch of the trailer. 

Trailer will see both the actor in a very different avatar. Aditya goes Lucknowi and Parineeti goes Hyderabadi for the film.

course there are tales to tell from the shoot. The requirement of the song was to be shot in the night and getting such permissions with a huge crew was the first hassle.

Actor Sandeep also recalls the fact that on the second day, they had to halt their shoots midway. There was major water turbulence on day 2 with the yacht being stuck in a water whirlpool making it extremely difficult to shoot. It was also very dangerous and there was a moment of panic on the sets. However, no one was hurt and the song was completed. The team is happy for the song to have come out so well. The item song has been performed by renowned Actress from the south - Pooja Kasekar.

Deepika walks the extra mile to keep her commitments

Deepika Padukone has been busy prepping for her upcoming films namely - Tamasha, Piku and Bajirao Mastani.
While she was in the city for a couple of days, Deepika was in a hectic shooting schedule.

Deepika was shooting for 14 - 15 hours every day for her brand shoots.

The ace actor will soon start shooting for her next film Tamasha with Ranbir Kapoor, directed by Imtiaz Ali. It is about a month long shooting schedule in the South of France.

Deepika wanted to ensure she wraps up all her brand commitments before she leaves for the shoot. She was working extra hours to ensure she manages to wind up everything on her work front.

Tamasha will be a long shooting schedule and hence she did not want her brands to wait for that long. Deepika is currently leading the brand circuit with 16 – 17 brands in her kitty.

Besides her brands she also allotted time for wrapping up some pending shooting for her films - Happy New year and Finding Fanny.

The actor was working long hours but has zero complains about the same.

Vikram Singh, the anti-hero from Sajid Nadiadwala's ‘Heropanti’, who has been nicknamed ‘desi Stallone’ by director Sabbir Khan for his resemblance to Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallone, will be next seen in a film based on boxing, just like his idol Stallone, who had played a boxer in the ‘Rocky’ series.

Sources claim that Singh has been approached by a well-known filmmaker to star in a film based on boxing. Vikram Singh, who has actually trained in boxing for an year in New Zealand, says, “I am a big fan of Stallone, who I feel is the greatest action star in Hollywood. When I was approached for the film, I gave my nod without a moment’s hesitation as I am sure that being a trained boxer, I would be able to justify this role.”

Though Singh refused to divulge details about the filmmaker and the film, he did add, “The film will be completely based on boxing. We are still having discussions about how to go forward, but I am quite excited about this venture and hope it goes on floors soon.” Vikram, who has worked as a villain in many films down South opposite superstars like Mahesh Babu, is currently shooting for his first Kannada film starring South superstar Puneeth Rajkumar. Singh has been offered a few Punjabi films and the actor is seriously considering the offers.

In the past, actor Sunny Deol had played a boxer in ‘Apne’ and Priyanka Chopra will be seen playing a boxer in the upcoming biopic on Mary Kom.

Thespo 16, the spectacular event for the young Nautankibaaz of India is back

The first Orientation Meet for the 16th season is scheduled for July 14, 2014 at 4pm at the celebrated Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai. 

Thespo invites anyone and everyone who is below the age of 25 years and has an inclination for Theatre and also those who are willing to showcase their talent either through Acting, Direction, Music, Writing, Designing, Photography, or any other theatre related activity.

​Writers, Directors, Actors, Musicians, College Students, Youth Theatre Groups, Professional Theatre Groups, Journalists, Theatre Lovers, Thespo Alumni and Friends of Thespo (FOT), the gates are open for all to come and find out how you can be a part of the next generation of theatre-wallahs.

The Orientation meetings are organized as the first part of Thespo’s mandate to interact with budding and potential participants. These gatherings help to share information about Thespo, its past activities, brief people on how they can participate in the movement and what’s lined up for Thespo 16. 

It draws attention to the wide range of activities being conducted so that interested youngsters can maximize their participation in Thespo by either staging a play or participating in a short performance, a Mime, Poetry Reading or Monologues. One can even attend workshops, design posters, write articles for the Thespo Magazine or join the organizing team.

The Orientation Meetings are a point of contact as well as a roadmap to the annual journey of the buzzing affair. 

Thespo, which is a grand platform for young performing artists, witnesses a flock of people each year from different cities and cultures having one thing in common - love for theatre!
