The film starts in sometime 1999 where Joe Brody (Bryan
Cranston) a nuclear plant supervisor and his wife Sandra (Juliette Binoche) are
trapped in a plant when a massive explosion occurs. As Joe escapes unhurt Sandra
is locked behind the lethal radiation.
Back in present day their son Ford (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is
an explosive ordinance disposal technician and a Lieutenant in the United
States Navy receives a call from the US consulate that Joe has been arrested for
a his mysterious behavior at a quarantine area near a nuclear plant at Janjira
in Japan. As Joe wants his son to believe something is being secretly guarded at
the Janjira disaster. Together they discover the area is not infected by any
radiation in mayhem they are arrested by the Japanese troupe and are taken to a
undisclosed location where a team of scientist are experimenting on a massive creature.
As they activate a device to exterminate it the creature uses its aptitude to turn
on a form of electro-magnetic pulse and creates a massive destruction in the catastrophic
attempt many are killed Joe who is also injured perishes while the American
Navy rescues them.
Admiral William Stenz (David Strathairn) who is on a mission
to track and obliterate the creature MUTO [Massive Unidentified Terrestrial
Organism] In between as Ford is investigated about his father’s report he reveals
that he had tracked a form of sound from the Janjira area that MUTO was
communicating with something.
As the military disembarks the devastated warehouse they
find a MUTO which is more destructive and lethal and is heading towards Las
Vegas.
Meanwhile Ford is taken to Honolulu to catch a flight back
home. A search team discovers the forest of Hawaii is a source of nuclear feed
for the MUTO. Then starts the destruction of the MUTO and Godzilla emerges with
a roar and fights the MUTO as they leave Hawaii and head towards San Francisco
as the second MUTO is a female and that the two are coming together for mate at
San Francisco to breed.
The military tries to tempt the two MUTOs into the ocean
with a plan to kill them with a nuclear strike, Serizawa and Graham suggest
using Godzilla to eliminate MUTO henceforth Stenz approves the risky mission.
Godzilla kills the MUTO with his radioactive breath, as the
climax nears Godzilla roars and returns to the sea giving a sigh of relief to
the force and people.
A mammoth entertainment with larger than life imagination is
what you see in this latest version of Godzilla. Director Gareth Edwards gives
you all big screen pleasure with everything at place, best visual effects and
astounding sound effects.160 million dollar creature’s will spellbound you
throughout the entire film surely a experience not be missed.
