Director Kanu Behl and
debut actor Shashank Arora whose film Titli will be screened at Cannes
this year walked the red carpet yesterday for the screening of Grace of
Monaco which was the opening film at the festival.
Titli’ is selected in the Un Certain Regard Section. It will be screened with 18 others films in the category.
Titli brings together Dibakar Banerjee and Yash Raj Films who are known for their niche and commercial films,
Titli is the only selection from India this year. The only other Indian film that has featured uncertain regards was Udaan.
The film is about Titli, the youngest member of a violent car-jacking brotherhood plots a desperate bid to escape the 'family' business.
The lead actors Shashank Arora and Shivani Raghuvanshi will be debuting in the film along with Ranvir Shorey and Amit Sial who will play the elder brother of Titli in the film.
