Makers of Chhota Bheem all set to release Mighty Raju- Rio Calling this May 2014

Mumbai, 21^st April:-  Makers of Chhota Bheem Green Gold Animation, are thrilled to introduce their  second most popular television character Mighty Raju as a theatrical release titled Mighty Raju- Rio Calling. The film is all set to release during the school summer holidays in May. The tagline of the film is ‘Soccer, Samba and Samosas’ and the story is based in the beautiful city of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil taking Mighty Raju away from this home town of ‘Aryanagar’.

Mighty Raju today has become a much loved character for children on television. The show is aired on Pogo channel every weekend in a one hour format.  Mighty Raju, Rio Calling is the third film from Green Gold’s roster, the earlier two being Chhota Bheem & the Curse of Damyaan and Chhota Bheem & the Throne of Bali.

With a fan following across the age groups of 4 – 10 years and the success of the earlier two releases, Green Gold Animation decided to release this film to entertain the kids this May.

Moby (Raju’s Pet), Cheeky (Raju’s Robot), Julie, Swamy( Raju’s  Father), Sandhya (Raju’sMother),  Karati (Evil Scientist) who are the key characters of Mighty Raju Television show will feature alongside additional characters such as Daniel, Lucas, Maria and Don Pedro in the film.

Talking about the film, the Director, Rajiv Chilaka said, “The FIFA world cup football is scheduled from June 2014 in Brazil and the entire world would be watching it. I wanted to make a football based film for children and hence decided that it is best to set the film in Rio, Brazil. A team of about 20 creative artists from Green Gold went to Rio De Janeiro and did the recce for the movie. It only made better business sense to carry forth one of our characters into the film instead of creating a fresh one. After a lot of brain storming we decided to take Mighty Raju to Rio. I’m extremely excited about the release of this film as it also marks an opening for our international endeavours”.

An exclusive line of merchandise such as roller skates, protective equipments, cap, cushion covers, foil balloons, footballs, finger football game, a wide array of T- Shirts, Mighty Raju action figure and Mighty Raju- Rio Calling costume have been created which are available at  Green Gold Stores across the country.

Brief Synopsis- About Mighty Raju

Mighty Raju, the four year old kid with super powers travels to Rio, Brazil as his father Swamy has been given a special assignment by the government of India. Raju’s mother, Sandhya is very happy to go there but Raju is very skeptical and feels that he will miss all his friends. Mighty Raju begins to like Rio and joins a school over there, but gets bullied by Daniel at the school and gets teased that he doesn’t know about how to play football. Raju meets Maria and befriends her. He comes to know that she is the daughter of the Don of Rio- Don Pedro.

Raju begins to experience strange phenomenon and keeps losing his super powers for short durations of time. Meanwhile, his dad is trying to solve the puzzle of banks in Rio being robbed by the means of computers. Eventually, Mighty Raju learns to play football and his school team reaches the final of the inter-school tournament. In this film all his wits and powers are put to the test in a pulse-racing face-off against nasty soccer rivals, gun-toting Mafia dons and deadly Capoeira fighters, all set out to strike him down. Will Mighty Raju emerge victorious?

Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon who will be seen making their debut in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti, kiss in one of the songs of the film, that was shot recently.

Synopsis:

Dreamers Campaign: Kuch Sapne Sone Nahi Dete

Dreams is what director Amole Gupte believed in when he made  his   upcoming film  Hawaa Hawaai  which has the tag line “Kuch Sapne Sone Nahi Dete”.

The film starring Saqib Saleem and Partho Gupte is all about dreams of a young boy and his coach who has faith in him.  The film's trailer  has already garnered a lot of appreciation so much that many leading film celebrities  have come together to share and talk about the dreams that didn’t let them sleep in what is truly a unique initiative to reach out to the audiences called the Dreamers Campaign.

Speaking about dreams, Vidya Balan who recently received the Padmashri award says today she has achieved all the success because she believed in her dreams. “Please listen to your inner voice as nobody knows more about you than yourself” she states.

Sidharth Malhotra takes a break

After back to back shooting schedules, young actor, Sidharth Malhotra is taking a 10 day break and flying off to a far off destination.

For the first time after he started his film career, he will be taking a 10 days holiday in New York.

Sidharth Malhotra, who made his big debut with Student of The Year, went on to his next projects Hasee Toh Phasee and Ek Villain one after the other and without taking any break.

He has been either training, shooting films or brands.

The actor received immense appreciation for his performance in Hasee Toh Phasee and directly got into preparing for Ek Villain, which shows a drastic change in his performance. From the rom-com HTP, he went on to becoming intense in Ek Villain.

It is a much deserved break for the young actor after 3 years and he was keen to take some time off and relax before starting preparing for his next.

The young actor’s looks in both his film is going to be very different. Dawat-e-Ishq is a food related film where he will be seen playing a chef.

His look in this film is more muscular. During the shoot of the film the actor had to even eat a lot of delicious food.

Currently, Aditya is on his way to lose some weight for his film Fitoor. His look is going to be opposite of the Dawat-E-Ishq look.  Opposite Katrina Kaif, the actor will be seen more on the leaner side.

And for the same, the actor has started hitting into the gym and working towards it before starting the shoot of Fitoor.

After Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor To Lend Support To Rouble Nagi.

Sonam Kapoor who has always worn her heart on her sleeve and voiced her support to various campaigns ,be it encouraging her fans to donate to the Ogaan Cancer Foundation for her birthday or campaigning for the cause of breast cancer, this time around ,has lent her full hearted support to the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation -one that runs  art camps for underprivileged kids across the country.

Sonam will travel to Delhi in the second half of April to encourage the children of the foundation and interact with them as they exhibit their art work.

The Rouble Nagi Art Foundation was earlier supported by Salman Khan , an actor Sonam deeply admires for his philanthropic work.

Lavasa, April 19, 2014: Lavasa, India’s planned hill city today announced the tie up with well known martial arts trainer, Chitah Yajnesh Shetty to launch ‘Chitah JKD Lavasa- Advance Module Academy’. The Martial Arts Academy has been launched in keeping with its endeavor to promote Lavasa as destination for sports. Lavasa is already working with leading experts for academies catering to sports like hockey, tennis, rowing, golf and badminton.     

Commenting on the launch of the academy Nathan Andrews, President, Lavasa Corporation Limited said, ‘We are delighted to be associated with Chitah Yajnesh Shetty and to welcome the Chitah JKD Advance Module Academy to Lavasa. ·         Sameer Ali Khan- mixed martial art master from Afghanistan

·         Saru Veerji- Shaolin Kung fu scholar from Nepal

To promote the sport among enthusiasts an exhibition of martial art forms and its rich history was organized in addition to the seminars and workshops by leading experts. The festival aptly offered a platform to Martial art practitioners for talent showcasing. The workshops and seminars held for the beginners and enthusiasts were engaging and action oriented. Participants were given certificates on successful completion of workshops and seminars.

Kangana Ranaut had been appreciated for her role in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’, which had featured a remix of the hit song ‘Duniya mein logon ko’ by Asha Bhosle. Abhishek and Rishi Kapoor decided to use the ferry so as to avoid traffic snarls and reach the sets on time.Says a source, "While Abhishek could travel to the sets in his luxury automobile he has decided to use the ferry instead minus any starry airs as its time-saving and convenient."

UTV Spotboy launched the trailer of Filmistaan in an unusual marketing activity. To highlight the trailer which is attached with the film Two States, the lead actor Sharib Hashmi, went to a few  media houses with a placard saying watch my trailer that is attached to Two States. This campaign is in keeping with the theme of the film which is based on hindi film fanatic played by Sharib.

Filmistaan, Directed by debutant director Nitin Kakkar and Produced by Shrinagar Films, won the national award for Best Film category in 2012 and is set to release on 6th June 2014
