Support keeps pouring in from Bollywood for the unique and progressive initiative by Children’s Film Festival of India (CFSI) - National Children’s Film Festival (NCFF). Many industry heavyweights like Amitabh Bachchcan, Sonakshi Sinha, Ajay Devgn, Subhash Ghai and Satish kaushik have already played their part by voicing their support towards the development of cinema for children in India. Latest addition to this long list of well wishers and supporters are Music Composer and Director Vishal Bhardwaj and Legendary lyricist Gulzar Saab.
Vishal Ji and Gulzar Saab have been associated with children’s film and content for a while now with films like Makdee. Acknowledging CFSI’s well rounded efforts over the years towards the development of children centric cinema, the duo joined decided to extend support. Upon hearing the various initiatives and the launch of NCFF, they decided to create a fun peppy track for CFSI and the children.
Speaking on the subject, CEO,CFSI, Dr .Shravan Kumar said, “It is an honour to have veterans like Vishal ji and Gulzar Sahab on board and creating something marvelous for CFSI. The track created by Vishalji is a very peppy number and instantly infuses energy not only kids but everyone who hears it. I hope that CFSI’s association with Vishalji and Gulzar Saab extends further as we would like to work together and create good music and cinema together. The song was created for CFSI as a whole but what better platform to launch it other than the Festival itself ?”
The festival kicked off in Delhi today and will be attended by celebrities like Sania Mirza, Jimmy Shergill, Dia Mirza, Sakshi Tanwar and many others, all of whom have come out to fuel the growth of children’s content with strong Indian flavours. The Festival will last from 14 – 16 November 2014.
