Mumbai, September 24, 2014: Sony Music Entertainment, global music giant, has signed on Bangalore based Hip-Hop sensation Brodha V to its growing artist roster. Known to create viral YouTube hits with over 1 million views, Brodha V is a popular name in the underground scene in India. He shot to fame with his singles “On my Own”, “Aatma Rama” , “After Party” and has also contributed to some foot tapping Bollywood numbers from movies like Chennai Express (Ready Steady Po) and Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge (Dheaon Dheaon).
Bringing upon the Sony Music edge, Brodha V will be seen working with Sony Music’s A&R team based in Sweden to produce his forthcoming songs, who are also the team that worked on writing hits for Nicki Minaj, One Direction, and more!
The winner of the “Best Hip-Hop Act” award at Radio City Freedom Awards, Brodha V is excited to be associated with Sony Music Entertainment and he adds, “Sony Music is like home for me, they are one of the best labels in India and I couldn’t have asked for more. I am excited to be working with them on my future projects, their expertise will definitely help my music and together we hope to create some more hits”
Brodha V was in the news recently for working with ace musician Raghu Dixit for the Mysore Warriors anthem, “Nee Salaam Hodi”. He also created a first of its kind “Cypher” which united all Bangalore based rappers in one track which was also featured on Buzzfeed!
