Dawaat-E-Ishq.

Aditya Roy Kapur essays the role of a Lucknawi chef in his upcoming release Dawaat-E-Ishq. 

His character 'Tariq' is highly different from his previous ones.

In his next, Aditya will be seen wearing surma. Surma is very common in the City of Nawabs, and Aditya felt that wearing surma will complete his look. He thought that it would help him get a feel of the character.

Among his contemporaries, Aditya is the first actor to wear surma. He believed that surma added authenticity to his Lucknawi character.

Aditya is the only actor from gen-Y to wear surma for his film.

Like Aditya, the following actors, who belong to the older lot have also worn surma to fulfill the demands of their character:

• Hrithik Roshan in Jodhaa Akbar :

Hrithik Roshan who plays the role of a Muslim Mughal Emperor Akbar, in the Indian historic romantic drama , wore surma to get into the skin of his character.

• Aamir Khan in Fanna:

Aamir plays a muslim tourist guide in Delhi. Mr.Perfectionist wore surma to make his character come out as real.

• Saif Ali Khan in Omkara:

Saif played the role of Om Shukala- a goon in Omkara, an Indian crime drama  film adapted from Shakespeare’s Othello

• Ranveer Singh in Ram Leela:

He plays the character of Ram, a Gujarati boy, belonging to the Rajadi class.

• Ranbir Kapoor in Chillar party:

Ranbir Kapoor wore surma for an item song in the film Chillar Party.

• Manoj Bajpai in Gangs of Wasseypur:

He plays a coal mafia in the film, named Sardar Khan.
