Sachiin Joshi an actor-producer-entrepreneur has his plate full. He recently signed the telugu remake of
Aashiqui 2 and has now got his hands in charity as well. Big Brother foundation
is an initiative by Sachiin Joshi which aims at helping the people in the rural
areas and bridging the gap between the rural and urban. The idea is to provide
people in rural areas with basic necessities be it medical care, installing
hand pumps, opening schools etc. One village will be picked from each area and
would be aided, making it a hub for the other villages nearby.
When contacted Sachiin Joshi, he said “ I have been fortunate enough
to be born and brought up in a well off family, but there are so many underprivileged
people in country especially in rural India who are deprived of basic
necessities. Big Brother strives to inspire and motivate people to contribute
at a personal level. Big Brother hopes to make the changes at a grass root
level as I strongly believe that villages are the heart of the country. We are in
talks with the panchayats of various villages in Gujarat and Maharashtra to
start this activity soon!”
The name Big Brother is conceptualized keeping in mind the Indian
traditional values where one looks up to the elder brother after father in the
family.
