MICHELLE SALINS to showcase Spring Summer 2014 collection
at the Bangalore Fashion Week
Actress Sharmiela Mandre will scorch the ramp for MICHELLE SALINS
Designer MICHELLE SALINS is all set to showcase her Spring Summer'14 collection at the Bangalore Fashion Week on 23rd January 2014 , 8 pm at The Crowne Plaza hotel, Bangalore. After having dressed celebrities at the MET Gala, Hollywood award nights and other celebratory events, MICHELLE is back in Bangalore as the guest designer for Bangalore Fashion Week.
Inspired by the clear blue Californian skies and sandy white beaches with a modern take on the classic hand crafted porcelain motifs, Michelle's designs are an ode to the sleek and chic style of California. The collection comprises of day and evening dresses with fitted and flared silhouettes, printed sheaths and column dresses constructed from silk, georgette and matte jersey. Pleated chiffon and soft cotton add flare to the collection while silk organza lends an ethereal and feminine look.
There is a heavy influence of florals in colors like yellow, orange and bright bougainvilla and a use of the sweet white poppy flower print infused with hues of blue to give a sophisticated resort feel.
About her stint at the Bangalore Fashion Week, Michelle says, “It’s absolutely a pleasure to support and associate with the BFW team on their 10th Anniversary edition. Bangalore has given me fabulous clients & friends; I feel it’s my time to return the generosity with our style & glamour quotient. ''
Sharmiela Mandre, who is very popular with the Kannada, Tamil & Telugu film industry will walk the ramp in the finale outfit. Sharmiela says, “I'm really excited to walk for Michelle. I've seen the collection and it’s very me – fun, bubbly and bright. Any girl would love to wear such fun clothes and I am happy to be a part of this.”
