‘Gravity’, starring George
Clooney and Sandra Bullock and directed by Alfonso Cuaron, has got off
to a fantastic start at the Indian Box office. The film which released
nationwide on Oct 11th 2013 has raked in
8 crores INR(gross) including the paid previews and the weekend collections! The film was released in 195 screens in all – 3 IMAX screens, 192 3D screens.
The film has left behind its Bollywood counterparts (releasing the same weekend) at the box office.
The
film also holds the record for the highest ever October opening weekend
for a film. It raked in 55.9$ Millions in its opening weekend and has
already crossed 100$ Millions at the US box office alone.
