13th August 2013, Four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai: Luxury, glamour, passion and excellence,all very evident at the launch of Gautam Ghanasingh’s new couture jewellery collection designed by Maheka Mirpuri. Riding high after having just won Best Couture Jeweller of the Year award 2013, the celebration hasn’t stopped at Ghanasingh Be True.
Inspired by the 108 year old legacy of Ghanasingh, Gautam and Maheka presented iconic jewels – timeless and exclusive. Models sashayed down the runway in limited edition pieces using Burmese Rubies, South Sea Pearls, Uncut Diamonds, Cabachon Emeralds and Hammered Gold, all of which vied for the attention of guests.
Karisma Kapoor, given her illustrious heritage and classic sensibilities, was the obvious choice to showcase this collection. She looked resplendent in a deep emerald Maharaani Haar with an uncut diamond choker worn over anude sari teamed with an orange blouse.
The red carpet glamour, unsurpassed style, highlighted showcases and a visual display of the collection to create a museum-like feel, gave the evening its unique spirit. All aspects from the décor to the gifts were planned keeping in mind the orange theme of the launch with tulips being the signature of the line.
The private preview for a select clientele included friends, family and guests like Karisma Kapoor, Pooja Bedi, Deepti Bhatnagar, Madhoo Shah, Poonam Dhillon, Rashmi Uday Singh, Monica Vaziralli, Dilip Vengsarkar, Arzan Khambatta any many more .A truly stylish evening - a classic yen for mixing the simple with the high-luxe, the old with the new. All in all a grand presentation!
