Grazia India celebrated its fifth anniversary with a glittering ceremony of honouring a new brigade of talented designers with the Grazia Young Fashion Awards, 2013, at Taj Land’s End, Bandra, Mumbai.

As the sun set on a particularly hot day on April 5, it also promised the dawn of a new generation of talent. Grazia India celebrated its fifth anniversary with a glittering ceremony of honouring a new brigade of talented designers with the Grazia Young Fashion Awards, 2013, at Taj Land’s End, Bandra, Mumbai.

The exciting annual property went live in a glamorous avatar as ten designers and three Grazia cover girls were awarded. The Grazia Young Fashion Awards (GYFA) are a result of months of shortlisting and discussions, conducted by the Grazia fashion team and a panel comprising of industry stalwarts. The winners walked down a ramp with their respective muses, showcasing their award winning work.
The Jury Members in Delhi were Sunil Sehti, President FDCI; Sujata Assomull Sippy, Fashion journalist and entrepreneur; David Abraham, designer and Mumbai were Sabina Chopra, Fashion entrepreneur; Sangita Sing Kathiwada, Proprietor Melange; Aparna Badlani, Owner Atosa

In addition to the ten designers, the winners also included an exclusive selection of awards, the GYFA Cover Girl of the Year, Deepika Padukone, GYFA Face of the Year, Diana Penty, and GYFA Model of the Year, Kanishtha Dhankar.


Celebrations included an exciting night where guests even won from a lucky draw of exclusive gifts from Estee Lauder, COT Fragrances, H2O Plus  and Colorbar.  The evening saw a massive turnout from the fashion and glamour quarters of the city, from the Indian fashion fraternity, Mumbai’s glamorous best, Bollywood, and the who’s who of the corporate world.

The anniversary issue as well as the special double treat of the bi-annual Grazia Men with a dapper John Abraham was unveiled by the star himself, along with Tarun Rai – Chief Executive Office, Worldwide Media,  Anupama Bhalla – Brand Publisher, GRAZIA  and  Mehernaaz Dhondy – Editor, GRAZIA.
