In what's a first for Hollywood and Bollywood, RIO 2, the sequel to 2011's hit animation flick, RIO will see two of Bollywood's leading actors feature as the main voices for the dubbed Hindi version!!

Yes, for all you movie fans out there, Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan will feature as the lovable and memorable macaws Jewel and Blu respectively, for RIO2 releasing on. 11th April 2014!! The English version of the movie will see the voices of Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg again which will be dubbed in Hindi by Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan!

Though in the past B-town actors have lent their voices on a small scale, this is the first time such a huge Bollywood association has taken place for a Hollywood franchise.
Rio 2 which is one of the most anticipated Hollywood movie in India, is an adventure comedy set in the Brazilian city of Rio De Janeiro! The movie will feature the return of Blu, Jewel and their three kids who leave their domesticated life for a journey to Amazon rainforest!

RIO 2's leading voices Sonakshi and Imran speak on their association with the hugely anticipated family entertainer!

On the set Saqib was like an elder brother, father and teacher to those kids.
 
For Saqib it was very different experience all together. at first he was little scared as he had never dealt with kids before, he was worried that kids might reject him but as they spent more time together they started bonding well and those kids acceptance was a sense of relief to him.

Saqib used to bribe those kids with chocolates and chips but later the kids themselves used to make him buy chocolates and chips. Those kids called Saqib as 'Saqib Bhaiya'

New Social Experiment Illustrates the Ongoing Conflict Women Have with Recognizing their Beauty





Mumbai, April 10th 2014: Inside every woman is the power to feel beautiful, confident and radiant, according to a first-of-its-kind social experiment conducted by Dove. Carried out in response to research revealing that an alarming 80% of women feel anxious about the way they look1, the study highlights how the right state of mind can unlock a powerful feeling of beauty that lives inside all women. The results are documented in the short film Dove: Patches on YouTube.com/DoveIndia.

The experiment was guided by psychologist and New York Times best-selling author, Dr. Ann Kearney-Cooke (Ph.D., Counseling Psychology) who has spent thirty years conducting scientific research around women’s body image and self-esteem.

During the experiment Dr. Kearney-Cooke invited the participants to wear a custom-made “beauty patch” for two weeks, which - would help them feel more beautiful.  The women were then invited to keep a personal account of their life-changing experience throughout the two week period. All the women agreed that wearing the “beauty patch” helped to improve their self-esteem and to change their personal lives in ways that they had not imagined. 

At the end of the experiment, however, it is revealed that the “beauty patch” contained nothing and that the power of believing in their own beauty influenced feeling beautiful.

"When a woman feels beautiful, she radiates happiness and confidence, which inspires her life in a significant way,” said Dr. Kearney-Cooke.  “These women, like so many others, struggle to recognize their own beauty and it severely affects their daily lives.  This ground-breaking experiment was designed to illustrate that beauty is a state of mind and that the power to feel beautiful comes from within.”

Throughout the Dove: Patches film, it becomes clear how low self-esteem affects many elements of the women’s lives.  As the women become more confident about the way they look, personal relationships flourish and they develop a more optimistic outlook on their daily routine.  One of the women who participated shared that she felt ashamed of her arms and had always avoided shopping.  A few days into the experiment, she started to feel more beautiful and invited her daughter to go shopping for the first time.   The two of them spent an unforgettable day together and they tried on dresses that she had never dreamed of wearing.  Dove hopes that all of the women’s inspirational stories featured in the Dove: Patches film will serve as powerful examples and encourage all women to develop a stronger relationship with their own beauty.

Based on the novel of Veronica Roth ‘Divergent’ is set in future of a dystopian Chicago where the humans are divided into different factions of Abnegation, Dauntless and more. Fascinated by the courage and heroism of Dauntless Shailene Woodley as Beatrice "Tris" leaves her parents Abnegation and joins them in a ceremony where one has to choose either factions. However she outsmarts all the test of aptitude and courage, so she is declared a ‘Divergent’ a threat to national security.
Her Dauntless test begins as jumping off from a running train and leaping off from a high structure into a hole encounters her into young and ruthless Jai Courtney as Eric a leader of Dauntless also Theo James as Tobias "Four" who is her instructor.
As the training of the recruits is in progress Tris's divergence is a reason she surpasses all the tests. While Kate Winslet as Jeanine Matthews leader of Erudite is planning to carry out a protocol that the Dauntless are used to kill Abnegation her parents faction as Erudite can come to power and rule all the factions.
A mind-control serum is injected to all the Dauntless by Erutide as they can attack and kill the faction of Abnegation. Ultimately Tris succeeds in the warfare to hold back the attack on Dauntless by Jeanine Matthews.
Director Neil Burger takes you for trip to action and fantasy with a little diversion as there is limited entertainment but more puzzling of the script as the theme does not sustain the actual plot of such futuristic idea of what happens to the civil society after the war. Shailene Woodley outshine’s the role with hardly has any nuance of super woman. Some good stunts of jumping of the train and acrobatics by the lead cast will keep you hooked in some portion but rest goes in vain.

Mumbai, 20 March 2014… Sony Pictures India has selected actor Vivek Oberoi to be the Hindi voice of the main villain Max Dillon aka Electro in this year’s biggest Hollywood blockbuster THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 which releases on May 1st. In the original English version, Electro is played by Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx.

Kercy Daruwala, Managing Director – Sony Pictures India, said, “We are very happy to have Vivek on board for the Hindi version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The Hindi version is a large part of our box office and it’s a very important role that Vivek will be playing in its success. Vivek has played a villain so brilliantly in the past and is already a familiar face in the genre. Kids in particular love him.”

Actor Vivek Oberoi who is on a career high confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I will be Electro's voice in the Hindi version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I have always been a huge fan of the Spider-Man comics and films and am thrilled to see that the franchise has just grown bigger and better with each film. I have been tremendously excited for The Amazing Spider-Man 2's release ever since the first trailer came out, and when I was offered to voice Electro for the Hindi version, I was immediately interested in this unique opportunity. Max Dillon/Electro is an immensely fascinating and complex character and it will be interesting to face off with Spider-Man. After my turn as super villain Kaal in Krrish 3, whose 250 crore box office was incredibly gratifying, this is just the icing on the cake.”

He added: “I have already begun dubbing and am looking forward to the film’s release on May 1st!"
