Director- producer Aanand L Rai, whose Tanu Weds Manu Returns is inching towards the 225 cr worldwide mark, has much reason to celebrate apart from his birthday, which he celebrated yesterday.

2nd July 2015: The makers of MIRZYA have announced the release date of one of the most awaited films.

The film, starring debutants Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher, will be the biggest launch vehicle ever for newcomers.

MIRZYA, which is director Rakeysh Mehra’s first love story and his next after the super successful film, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, is a contemporary love story set in Rajasthan. He is leaving no stone unturned for the film and is personally looking into all the minute detailing.

The Director has gone to great lengths to bring on board the best team to be a part of the making of the film. He has even tightened security on the sets to ensure that nothing gets out. So far he has been successful in keeping the entire shoot under wraps.

Gangsters hit bulls-eye!

Meeruthiya Gangsters starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Mukul Dev is a film based on small-town gangsters, but looks like the gang of actors were a far cry from showing their reel streaks in real. An insider reveals that the cast of the Zeishan Quadri film were so professional, that they actually shot the entire film in a start-to-end 48-days schedule. Naturally, not only are the filmmakers impressed with the lot, but they are thrilled with the outcome too. Talking about the month and a half schedule, producer Shoeb Ahmed says, “It’s a dream team! They overcame several obstacles and challenges, but we wrapped earlier than planned, which is almost unheard of in our industry. Zeishan was so clear with what he wanted that there was no delay on that front at all. What also helped was the bonding between the boys, who were totally dedicated to the film right to the end. They literally lived on the sets. That camaraderie between them translates so well on screen too, that they are a treat to watch.”

इसीलिए विवेक ने यह इफ्तार पार्टी का आयोजन किया क्यूंकि उनकी सभी यादे ताजा होजाये और कास्ट, कृ इसका आनंद ले सके।

When Ranveer and Arjun brought the house down at IIFA 2015

Baahubali creates world record with world's biggest poster

The team of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali was trying to create a world record. They were attempting to break the existing record for the biggest poster in the world in the Guiness Book of World Records and Limca Book of World Records.

The record had been held by a poster of 32,000 sq ft. And they have been successful in breaking the record with a poster of 50,000 sq ft.

The Malayalam team of Baahubali held an event in Cochin, Kerala, where they unveiled the record breaking poster. The cast and crew of the film was present.

A huge crowd was present to see the biggest poster in the world of the most awaited film.

Baahubali is the first ever Indian film that transcends regional boundaries and has a pan-India appeal.

Sony Music acquires the music rights of Dharma Production’s upcoming Action-Drama movie “Brothers”

Sony Music Entertainment acquires the music rights of Dharma Productions’ action – drama film Brothers. Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film is an official remake of the 2011 Hollywood film Warrior. After Ageneepath, this is the second time the successful team of – Dharma Productions, Sony Music, Karan Malhotra, Ajay-Atul & Amitabh Bhattacharya will be working together. This hugely anticipated project surely promises great music and the association of Sony Music will definitely get the music dominating all charts.

Adding on , Sanujeet Bhujabal, Marketing Director Sony Music India said,”Dharma and Sony Music have always created great musical milestones and the music of this film will be another such . Composed by the multi award winning duo Ajay -Atul’s who will weave in magic with their melodies and the lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, this album will a worthy follow up to the smashing soundtrack of Agneepath."

Sandeepa plans to start an NGO for street dogs

Not many know that Sandeepa Dhar ​is an animal lover. Recently during rains lots of street dogs have been hiding to save their lives and starved for hours.

Sandeepa found 5 similar puppies at the basement of her building who were all drenched in rain and were shivering of cold. Sandeepa being an animal lover, took all of them to her place, fed them and took care of them. 

Sandeepa say. "I m a pet lover, and when I saw those puppies shivering in my building basement I was heart broken so I took them home. I think it is everyone responsibility to take care of animals especially in monsoon as you never know if those animals are being fed or no, if they are sick or hungry or just scared."

Not many know but Sandeepa is also an animal activist and does a lot of Social service when it comes to rescuing street dogs. 

"My plan is to start an NGO for street dogs, There are lots of dogs on streets who are limping just because when they are sleeping someone ran their car over their legs. I would want to help them but unfortunately there are not many NGO's. Hence I want to start something that can help those poor and needy animals." concludes Sandeepa Dhar.

‘We Kapoors pay for our own drinks!’ - Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor may have been in news for his starry attitude at times, even though when it comes to his producers, they swear by his professionalism. But it was while shooting for their film Wedding Pullav when the senior star contrary to his temperamental image pleasantly surprised Ranjan. A source reveals that post the film’s shoot in the evening, the two good friends would walk down to a nearby popular bar for a round of drinks, adding, “As is the unsaid rule in Bollywood, being the producer, naturally when the bill came, Ranjan picked up the tab. However, this did not go down too well with Kapoor, who insisted on paying for his own drinks. In fact, he even paid for Ranjan’s drink!” Talking about it, Ranjan says, “After the shoot, we did go for a round of drinks in the evening. And since I was the producer I picked up the tab. This upset Chintu who insisted on paying his own bill saying, “We Kapoors never drink producers’ scotch. We always pay for our drinks and never use producers’ money for it.” I was naturally surprised, because a producer is assumed to bepaying for everything for a star while on a shoot schedule, but Chintu never ceases to amaze. He’s a dream to work with for any producer. No wonder the Kapoors are known for their large-heartedness!”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Special Birthday Gift for Ranveer!

             

Ranveer Singh has been giving his all; including an unusual decision to move out of his family home, to perform the historic part of Peshwa Bajirao in ‘Bajirao Mastani’. While the young star is dedicated to this part, his commitment to the film’s director, Sanjay LeelaBhansali, is also unquestionable & honest. As he has stated many a times, “You don’t work with Mr. Bhansali, you collaborate with him to create something special on set.” 

His filmmaker has reciprocated Ranveer’s sincerity and dedication by giving him a special birthday gift. When Ranveer requested Bhansali to give him a four-day break for his birthday, much in advance, the filmmaker has graciously granted him those days off. 

Ranveer, of course, is very thankful for the quick break from sets. Says a source close to the actor, “he will travel out of the city with his family to ring in his birthday. Before he takes time off though he is working round the clock to ensure that the elaborate shoot of this magnum opus doesn’t suffer”. 

The actor, who shares a relationship of admiration and respect with his acclaimed filmmaker, is working hard so that his holiday won’t impact the film’s schedule. During the course of making this film, Ranveer has dealt with a shoulder injury & has given total concentration for one year on this project alone. Clearly, his birthday break is well earned!

Kamal Hassan's Papanasam releases on July 3rd.

The Tamil remake of Drishyam, Papanasam, will arrive in theatres four weeks before the Hindi one releases

Kamal Haasan's upcoming Tamil film, Papanasam, is a remake of Mohanlal's 2013 Malayalam film, Drishyam.

Papanasam is up for release on July 3, four weeks before the Hindi version of the same hits screens on July 31.

While the Hindi version is directed by Nishikant Kamat, the Tamil film has been written and directed by the original director, Jeethu Joseph.

Kamal Haasan would be enacting the  same role as Ajay Devgan would be essaying in the Hindi version.

The original Malyalam film, Drishyam has been remade in Kannada (Drishya, 2014) in Telugu (Drushyam, 2014) . Now the film will be presented in Tamil and Hindi.
