The actress who is currently busy shooting for her Indo-British film, Bombariya, recently watched the much acclaimed film, Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

Though she felt that the performances of all the actors in the film was phenomenal, Radhika feels that it cannot be ignored that a major share of the victory also goes to the director Anand L Rai and script writer, Himanshu Sharma for the superlative writing and direction.

The actress feels that it is the content that has made this connect with the masses and they deserve their share of praise.

She even met the director after watching the film and expressed to him how she loved his work.

Second teaser of Wazir takes the excitement higher

The second teaser of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Wazir was launched yesterday. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, Wazir is one of the most anticipated films this year.

The film has an eclectic cast with Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar and Aditi Rao Hydari.

While the first teaser that released last year had created a lot of intrigue, the second teaser has taken the excitement much higher.

The gripping teaser is loaded with suspense. It is one of the most intense teaser’s ever it keeps one on the edge of the seat.

It shows Amitabh Bachchan playing a grand chess master confined to a wheelchair and Farhan Akhtar playing an ATS cop.

Farhan Akhtar who is seen is such an avatar for the first time, looks perfect in the role of an ATS cop.

The teaser also showed Neil Nitin Mukesh who will be seen as the villain in Wazir and Johan Abraham who will be playing a pivotal cameo in the film.

Jay learns horse riding and martial arts for his next

Jay Bhanushali believes in getting under the skin of the character he plays. Even if that means going to any length to get it right.

Jay has started learning horse riding for his character in an upcoming film. Though the actor has never ridden a horse before, it’s always been one of the things he’s fascinated by. Jay is also learning martial arts required for his role.

A source informs, “Jay has started learning horse riding. It has only got him more intrigued than ever before by the sport. He finds the process very exciting and thrilling and it has helped him overcome his fear of riding. He’s also undergoing rigorous training sessions for martial arts.”

“I’m learning horse riding and martial arts for my character. It’s too early to disclose any details regarding the film and my role but I can at least tell you that the learning process has been a wonderful experience, all thanks to my trainer,” says Jay.

Jay is on a high after the success of Ek Paheli Leela.

Reveals Puru, "There is a new rule introduced on our set by Goldie Behl sir that after each shot, loud music is played which acts as a stressbuster for all of us on the set. For any actor who shoots for 12 to 13 hours, it is necessary to have some fun.This rule should be introduced on the sets of all TV shows as it acts as a stressbuster."

राज्य में फिल्म निर्माण को प्रोत्साहित करने की दृष्टि से,उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने निर्णय लिया है  की  प्रोत्साहन के रूप में दी गई सब्सिडी की राशि में वृद्धि की  जाएगी  राज्य में उत्पादित प्रत्येक फिल्म अब  2 करोड़ रुपये की सब्सिडी के हकदार है।उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव ने हाल ही में फिल्म नीति के तहत फिल्म सब्सिडी के वितरण की शुरूआत की है।मुख्यमंत्री के मुताबिक, उत्तर प्रदेश में फिल्म निर्माण के लिए एक अच्छा स्थान है और यह भी आश्वासन दिया की फिल्मों की शूटिंग के लिए उत्पादकों के लिए राज्य सरकार की ओर से हर संभव मदद की जाएगी   

मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव ने फिल्म  जानिसार  के  निर्माता मुजफ्फर अली रुपये 2.25 करोड़ रुपये का चेक सौंपा। फैशन  डिज़ाइनर  पेरनिा  कुरैशी इस फिल्म से अपना बॉलीवुड देबते कर रही हैं और उनके साथ नज़र आएंगे पाकिस्तानी अभिनेता इमरान अब्बास.इस से पहले, बोनी कपूर की फिल्म तेवर, तिग्मांशु  धुलिया की बुलेट राजा,को भी सब्सिडी दी गयी थी.इस दिशा में सरकार के प्रयास से  न  ही  सिर्फ  फिल्म उद्योग के विकास को बढ़ावा देने में मदद होगा   बल्कि राज्य में कई रोजगार के अवसर पैदा होंगे ।

Uttar Pradesh government's Rs 2 crore subsidy for Jaanisaar

With a view to encourage film production in the state, the Uttar Pradeshgovernment has decided to increase the amount of subsidy given as an incentive. Each film produced in the state is now entitled to a subsidy of up to Rs 2 crore. UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has recently launched the distribution of film subsidy under the film policy. According to the CM, UP is a good location for filmmaking and has also assured all possible help from the state government to producers for shooting their films.

he Chief Minister handed over a cheque of Rs 2.25 crore to Jaanisaar's filmmaker Muzaffar Ali. The film will mark the debut of fashion designer Pernia Qureshi and will have Pakistani actor Imraan Abbas play the romantic lead opposite her. Before this, Boney Kapoor's Tevar and Tigmanshu Dhulia's Bullet Raja got subsidies for shootingh in the state. The government's effort in this direction will not only help promote the growth of the film industry but also generate numerous employment opportunities in the state.

French filmmaker to make a movie on Vikas Khanna’s book Utsav

Michelin Star chef Vikas Khanna’s book Utsav – A Culinary epic of Indian festivals was unveiled at the 68th Cannes International Film Festival. The book based on cuisines for festivals and rituals for Indian communities was widely appreciated by dignitaries and filmmakers across the globe.

It’s learnt that a popular French filmmaker and actress Maiwenn who showcased her French film Mon Roi (My King) at Cannes this year was quite fascinated by Vikas’s book to the extent that she expressed her wish to make a film on the same in India.

A source informs, “Maiwenn met Vikas and congratulated him on his book. The filmmaker was quite enamoured by the book and also discussed with Vikas the prospect of making a film on it.”

Vikas confirms, “Yes, we met at Cannes and spoke about the book in detail. Maiwenn liked the concept of the book and said that it could be taken on to the next level. But nothing has been finalised yet as I’m busy travelling and taking the book to different cities of the world.”

Kriti Sanon picks up reading

Young actress Kriti Sanon is someone who isn’t very fond of reading.

Yet she is now making an effort to pick up interesting books from the bookstore and is creating a collection for herself.

From the beginning itself Kriti hadn't developed the habit of reading but she has been gathering interesting books for a while.

She is trying to make time to read and is making an effort to develop the habit.

Kriti thinks that reading is an experience in itself and moreover it also helps one to think and imagine. It is also a great way to absorb and create different worlds! In fact Kriti also feels that this helps one enhance their acting skills and proves to be a great medium of learning for an actor.

The collection of books that the actress is gathering is a mix of fictions and non- fictions. She also has collected a few biographies in her mini library.

“I have always been more of a visual person. Given a choice, I would watch a film over reading a book. But of late, I have been picking up some interesting books. They help you broaden your horizon,” says Kriti.

The actress who had one of the best debut launch in the industry with Sajid Nadiadwala's Heropanti, will soon be seen in Rohit Shetty’s film Dilwale.

It’s flattering, but also good for the designers and the fashion industry. If designers themselves weren’t good, people won’t wear them! By and by, girls became aware of these names and they got mainstream. If Masaba wasn’t Masaba, people won’t buy her designs. People became aware that she is around. Gaurang was another brand people didn’t know about. Be it Payal Pratap, Dhruv Kapoor or Shift — people slowly started warming up to these labels. I enjoy fashion and I’m always on the lookout for something new and I don’t want to look like every other girl. I had worn an Ashi Studio dress and later saw it on two or three girls who wore it in the same colour but slightly different cuts.”

Kriti Sanon plans her sister's first international trip.

The actress who made her big debut in Sajid Nadiadwala's Heropanti last year was born and brought up in a middle class family in Delhi and is managing on her own in Bombay now.

While Kriti's parents planned her first trip abroad and made it special, the actress wanted to do the same for her younger sister as she is the only one in her family who has not taken an international trip yet.

She has personally looked into all the details right from booking the tickets, her stay, list of places to visit in Thailand.

Kriti shares a very close bond with her sister and she wanted to do this for her.

Her sister is very happy and super excited.

The new look of Riteish Deshmukh from Excel Entertainment’s upcoming film Bangistan has been released. Riteish is seen in a typical Muslim look with long beard. 

He has a very interesting look. Apparently, the actor is playing a Pakistani in the film.  

Bangistan is a comedy film starring Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat.

Vidya Balan to be conferred with the degree of Doctor of Arts Honoris Causa.

Powerhouse performer, Vidya Balan, will be conferred with the degree of Doctor of Arts Honoris Causa by Rai University at a special convocation ceremony held at suburban five star hotel on Monday.

The University has decided to award Vidya Balan with an Honorary Doctorate for her exceptional contribution to the Indian Film Industry and for her contribution to Empowering Womanhood in the country.

Based in Ahmadabad, Gujarat, Rai University provides world class education and empowering opportunities for all sections of society, especially for girls from the underprivileged sections of society.

While Vidya Balan’s unmatched excellence and dedication to her craft , has won her several accolades including a National award and several Filmfare awards. . The Government of India also awarded her with the fourth highest civilian award ‘Padma Shri’ in 2014 for her strong portrayal of female protagonists and for pioneering a change in the concept of a film heroine.

Vidya now adds another feather to her hat, and receives a honorary doctorate from the Rai University , in the week of her completion of 10 years in the Hindi film industry.

Rai University who will be bestowing Vidya Balan with the title will also launch a special scholarship program in her honor. The “Vidya Balan University Scholarship” , is a scholarship which includes free education for under privileged girls. This includes completely free University education for the entire duration of degree program at Rai University, including boarding and lodging for one underprivileged girl nominated by Vidya every year.

Says Vidya Balan, “ It is truly humbling and overwhelming to receive this honor. What makes this even more special is that I complete 10 years in the Hindi film industry on the 10th june (in 10 days) . There can be no bigger compliment for an actor than to have done work that has touched peoples lives”.
