by RSSDI to Nashik for a panel discussion. I really felt that I could add value
to this platform as I have been adjusting to this disease for a while now.
Luckily I don’t have a sweet tooth so that was a huge relief but I have watched
my sugar intake right from the time I got diagnosed, especially my tea and
coffee. I also work out regularly which might be unbelievable to many people
but I hit my treadmill religiously without fail. Given that my job hours are
erratic, I have also made many minor lifestyle changes which keep me going”.
Satish Kaushik also added, “I feel awareness levels
on diabetes has also gone up phenomenally and keeping a regular check is not an
issue these days. People are conscious and we also are blessed with advanced
medical science these days to keep things under check. Luckily I have kept
insulin shots at bay”.
