Dilip Sen – Sameer Sen Celebrated 25th years in Bollywood,
& 4th Generation Dada Saheb Phalke Awards

Duo Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen, chacha bhatija Team, of Music Directors the wonderful combination of second and third generation of Music Makers, Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen.  It was a three in one function, first 25th anniversary of Dilip Sen’s wedding, where he expressed his love for his wife and his family, second completion of their 25 years of their duo team “Dilip Sen – Sameer Sen” as music director, and third not getting award of “4TH GENERATION  DADA SAHEB PHALKE AWARD”.



The function was held in Sargam Bungalow at Mhada where in approximately entire media gave lots of applauds, including Bollywood guests like Actors Ali Khan, Sunil Pal, Ashik Mishra, Amitabh Dayal, Producer Director Mehul Kumar, Singer Sudesh Bhonsle, Ravi Tripathi, Sangeeta Kopalkar, Tarannum Mallik, Hamid Ali Qureshi, Lyricist M.Prakash, and  well-wisher Sanjay Bedia and S.P.Chaudhary.

The team of Music Composers, Belong To The Sen Family And They Have Inherited The Taste Tradition, Trend, Taste And Tunes From Sen Gharana And Using Their musical Skill To Enrich The Entertainment. Son of Jamal Sen, was Shambhu Sen, the father of Sameer Sen. He was the top Choreographer and has the credit of being the teacher of top dancers like Hema Malini, Yogita Bali, Sarika, Laxmi Chhaya, Manisha and Sujata etc.

Now the fourth generation Sohail Sen who gave music for “What’s your Rashee”, “Ek Tha Tiger”, “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” and other films, bags 4th Generation Dada Saheb Phalke Awards. Sen comes from a family of musicians who have worked in the film industry and his entry into the film composing world marked the fourth generation of his family to do so. His father, Sameer Sen (of the music director duo Dilip Sen – Sameer Sen) has always been a strong influence in his life, as was his paternal grandfather Shri Shambhu Sen's singing( home town sujangarh(churu) Rajasthan). Sen started learning music at the age of six. He learnt to play the table as a child, and then went on to learn various musical instruments including the piano and percussion and rhythm instruments. He learnt classical music from his grandfather Shri Shambhu Sen. He began his career as a music director at the young age of thirteen when he composed the music for a telefilm titled Roshni and for which renowned singer Kavita Krishnamurthy provided playback. He then decided to assist his father for nine years to fine tune his skills as a film composer.
