Pyaar Ke Side Effects and now Shaadi Ke Side Effects Director Saket Chaudhary seems to be a messiah for the lovers then and for disillusioned new parents now, showing them the pathway of happiness is the message of this latest venture, finally a new age cinema has arrived and here to stay on.
A newly married couple Farhan Akhtar as Sid and Vidya Balan as Trisha are on a roll to experiment new ways to kill the humdrum by being strangers and meeting at night clubs, enticing each other in lifts and lobbies etc.
The mayhem starts when Trisha is pregnant and delivers a baby girl, raring the baby goes wild as the couple are left with options who takes which responsibility, havoc at the night of baby cry is well handled as Trisha outsmarts Sid’s skill to appease the baby. Host of troubles surface while dealing to raise the child is the Side Effects which the Director has magnified in his endeavor to cautious or teach newlyweds [to be single is a boon that’s the message under current].
Akhtar and Balan are multifaceted actors and have defined the new age contemporary Bollywood with great panache. Also Vir Das and Ram Kapoor have done earnest job in enhancing the pleasure of naughty humour.A good 147 minutes of fun and frolic ,so just fill your popcorn full, sit back and enjoy.
