Neetu’s proud moment

Neetu’s proud moment

We've heard a lot of actors helping their staff with expensive gifts, financial aid and free guest appearances. Recently actress Neetu Chandra helped her maid’s daughter get married. Her maid was to call off the wedding due to financial problems which bothered Neetu and she helped her not only with money but also with home appliances. “I’d asked my maid about the preparations, and she told me that it may not happen because she was facing financial problems”, says Neetu. She gifted whatever was required to start a married life. My mother was proud of me, and I too felt nice doing it”, adds Neetu.

Sohum Shah, whose Ship of Theseus won critical acclaim, hails from a small town, Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan, a place with meagre population. The actor has an established real estate business there.

He says, “It is only after I reached the peak of the family business — that I’d established at an early age — that I felt the need to explore life’s meaning and purpose. In a certain sense, my film was the catalyst.”

The actor says as soon as he read the script of the Ship of Theseus, he decided not only to act in it but also to produce it. “I wanted to attach my name to a philosophical and profound film and this was just the right venture,” he says.

Besides garnering accolades for his performance from noteworthy film personalities, the actor was even praised by filmmaker Deepa Mehta, who went so far as to describe him as, “the most brilliant discovery of the year.” He concludes, “Being appreciated for my craft is encouraging. The intent is to make a difference and set a precedent.”

CRITIC VIEW.
Directed by Shoojit Sircar [Vicky Donor] gets the hidden conspiracy of late PM assasination on screen with many flaws and less perfection.

The movie has a energy of a chronicled research in the making giving less scope for entertainment and cinematic liberties which triggers the box office boom.

Joh Abraham has given his best and a astute performance. Surely will garner accolades and esteem to his credit.

Band of supporting cast Siddharth Basu as Robin Dutt,Ajay Rathnam as Anna Bhaskaran and Nargis Fakhri as Anita Pratap, gives one reason more to get the glimpse of  'Madras Cafe '.

JOBS

JOBS.

STORY.
The film opens in 2001 with Steve Jobs (Ashton Kutcher) introducing the iPod at an Apple Town Hall meeting. It then flashes back to Reed College in 1974. Jobs had already dropped out due to the high expense of tuition, but was still auditing classes with the approval of Dean Jack Dudman (James Woods) who took him under his wing.[7] Jobs is particularly invested in a course on calligraphy.[8] He meets up with his friend Daniel Kottke (Lukas Haas) who is excited to see that Jobs is holding a copy of Be Here Now by Baba Ram Dass. Influenced by this book and his experiences with LSD, Jobs and Kottke spend time in India.[9]
The film then moves forward to 1976 where Jobs is back in Los Altos, California living at home with his adoptive parents Paul (John Getz) and Clara (Lesley Ann Warren). He is working for Atari and develops a partnership with his childhood friend Steve Wozniak (Josh Gad) after he sees that Wozniak has built a personal computer (the Apple 1). They name their new company Apple Computer, though there already is a company called Apple Records that is owned by The Beatles (Wozniak then teases Jobs that this is symbolic of his preference for Bob Dylan). Wozniak gives a demonstration of the Apple 1 at the Homebrew Computer Club, where Jobs receives a contract with Paul Terrell (Brad William Henke). Jobs asks his mechanic/carpenter father Paul for permission to use the family garage (set up as a carpentry/tool center) for his new company. His father agrees and Jobs then adds Kottke, Bill Fernandez (Victor Rasuk), Bill Atkinson (Nelson Franklin), Chris Espinosa (Eddie Hassell), and later Rod Hold (Ron Eldard) to the Apple team to build Apple 1 computers.[10] Terrell is disappointed by what they produce which forces Jobs to seek capital elsewhere. After many failed attempts by Jobs to gain venture capital, Mike Markkula (Dermot Mulroney) invests in the company which allows them to move forward.
Jobs and Wozniak develop the Apple II and introduce it at the 1977 West Coast Computer Faire. The Apple II is a remarkable success and suddenly, the company (and Jobs) are very successful. Jobs thus begins to distance himself from old friends such as his housemates Kottke and his high school girlfriend Chris-Ann Brennan (Ahna O'Reilly) who tells him that she is pregnant with their child. Brennan eventually gives birth to Lisa Brennan-Jobs whom Jobs continues to deny is his daughter. He also brings in John Sculley (Matthew Modine) to become the CEO of the company. As his behavior becomes more erratic (for example firing an employee for not appreciating his investment in using fonts), Jobs is moved away from The Lisa to the Macintosh Group where he works with Bill Atkinson, Burrell Smith (Lenny Jacobson), Chris Espinosa, and Andy Hertzfeld (Elden Henson). He also forces the original team leader of the Macintosh group, Jef Raskin, out of it. Though the Macintosh is introduced with a great deal of fanfare in 1984, Jobs is forced out of the company by Sculley in 1985.
The film jumps forward to 1996. Jobs is married to Laurene Powell Jobs (Abby Brammell) and has accepted Lisa (Annika Bertea) as his daughter (she now lives with them). He has a son, Reed (Paul Baretto) and is also running the company NeXT which Apple decides to buy. He is asked by then CEO-Gil Amelio to return to Apple as a consultant. Jobs does so and eventually fires Amelio and Markkula (who did not support him when he was forced out of Apple 11 years prior) when he is named the new CEO. Jobs becomes interested in the work of Jonathan Ive (Giles Matthey) and works to reinvent Apple. The film ends with Jobs recording the dialogue for the Think Different commercial in 1997.

CRITIC VIEW.
Steve Jobs biopic acted by Ashton Kutcher  is good, while watching you can get hooked and be attentive to his performance which can be one reason to recommend the movie.

Though the movie has been facing criticism world over by the media and watcher's.I did find some substance to be glued till the end.

Steve Jobs a  American entrepreneur was charismatic and pioneer of the personal computer revolution in 80's to match him and personify his stature is not a ball game.

It's a lookalike casting  which  Director Joshua Michael Stern took care of but 'Jobs' does not enthuse or energize. Steve Jobs iconic personality was far to magnanimous to get it on silver screen is not a easy task.

Music by John Debney is competent, additional cast support by Josh Gad as Steve Wozniak, Dermot Mulroney as Mike Markkula [millionaire investor ] and Matthew Modine as John Sculley have given a memorable and fine performance.

KICK ASS -2 review by ANIZ FILMVALA

KICK ASS -2

STORY.
Dave Lizewski has retired from fighting crime, but inspired other ordinary citizens to become super heroes. He asks Mindy Macready to train him so he can become a proper hero. His girlfriend Katie Deauxma notices his odd behavior and frequent absence and thinks he is cheating on her with Mindy, (even though she is cheating on him), and breaks up with him. Mindy is caught crime fighting by her guardian Marcus, and promises to try to live an ordinary life. Not wanting to work alone, Kick-Ass joins a team of heroes called "Justice Forever". The team, led by Colonel Stars and Stripes, includes Dave's friend Marty as Battle Guy, Dr Gravity, Insect Man, the parents of an assassinated kid named Tommy and Night-Bitch. Chris D'Amico, upset at his mother's apathy towards his father's death, accidentally kills her with a tanning bed. Chris uses his inheritance to become a super villain, calling himself "The Motherfucker".
Justice Forever serves the community, at first by helping poor people and patrolling the streets, then taking on the larger task of shutting down an illegal brothel. After patrols, Night-Bitch and Kick-Ass begin a sexual relationship. Dave and Marty try to get Todd involved but Todd gets upset when Dave and Marty mock his costume and name (Ass Kicker).
Mindy tries to lead a normal life, and Marcus arranges for her to go to a slumber party with the popular girls in her class, led by Brooke. Brooke suggests Mindy try out for the dance team at school, but when Mindy wows the audience with her audition Brooke is not pleased. Dave tries to get Mindy back to crime-fighting, prompting her to ask a boy to take her out on a date. When Mindy eventually allows the boy to take her out, it all turns out to be a cruel prank, and Brooke and her friends abandon Mindy in the forest to walk home alone. Mindy goes to Dave for sympathy and he encourages her to beat the mean girls at their own game. The next day Mindy takes on the girls, first with verbal put-downs, then using a crowd control shock baton to induce sickness. Mindy is suspended from school and Marcus is disappointed.
The Motherfucker uses his wealth to assemble a gang of supervillains, and establishes a lair, complete with shark tank. He tracks down Colonel Stars and Stripes and has his gang murder and decapitate him, publishing taunts and threats on Twitter saying that this is only the beginning. He continues his quest to destroy anything Kick-Ass loves, tracking down Night-Bitch and attempting to rape her. When the police are called to the scene, Mother Russia, a massive Russian ex-con, kills several police officers. This results in a police clamp down on all costumed villains and vigilantes, and the police arrest anyone dressed as a superhero. When the police come to the Lizewski house, Dave's father takes responsibility for being Kick-Ass.
Dave's friend Todd joins The Motherfucker's gang; The Motherfucker learns from him that the man arrested for being Kick-Ass is Dave's father. He has Mr. Lizewski killed in jail and sends a photograph to Dave. Dave vows to never put on the Kick-Ass costume again. The other members of Justice Forever attend the funeral in sympathy with Dave, but the funeral is ambushed by the Motherfucker's gang and Dave is kidnapped. Mindy pursues the van, killing all its occupants and rescuing Dave. Mindy convinces Dave to become Kick-Ass again and confront the Motherfucker.
They assemble their superhero friends and go to the Motherfucker's lair for a final confrontation. While Kick-Ass fights the Motherfucker, Hit-Girl struggles against Mother Russia. Mother Russia has nearly beaten Hit-Girl. She laughs at the syringe Hit-Girl is holding, believing it to be poison, and instead injects Hit-Girl with it. The "last resort" contains adrenaline, rejuvenating Hit-Girl so she can kill Mother Russia, stabbing her with shards of glass. Todd saves Marty from one of the Motherfucker's gang and the two make up. Fighting on the rooftop, the Motherfucker falls through a skylight, but Kick-Ass grabs his arm. The Motherfucker refuses help and falls, but lands in the shark tank. He survives the fall but is mauled by the shark.
Mindy takes Dave home, and says she is leaving New York, to protect Marcus from police inquiry as she is wanted for murder. She tells him he is now the superhero the city needs and kisses him before departing. Dave accepts the responsibility and begins training and upgrading his equipment.
In a post-credits scene, Chris screams from his hospital bed, his legs gone, and barely able to move.

CRITIC VIEW.
Directed by Jeff Wadlow  a sequel to Kick-Ass a 2010  British version of an American superhero's movie  story of teenage New Yorkers in masks and slickly designed costume's.Out on a combat with a clumsy villain [ named Motherfucker] and his hired goons

Chloë Grace Moretz's is sexy in her purple-haired Hit Girl image and still 15, she is violent and lethal in her combatant act.

Jim Carrey as the leader of  "Justice Forever" does not tickle much and looks disfigured.

Though some action shot on a car chase are very high octane and appealing.

The movie leaves us to think of that we can be superheroes in this universe

The Kapoors will dance to Daler-Mika's song in Besharam.

The Kapoors will dance to Daler-Mika's

song in Besharam.

Now this is what we call a family affair; the Kapoors shaking a leg to a tune sung by Mika and older brother Daler Mehndi in Besharam.
The two older Kapoors play bumbling cops on the trail of Babli, the filmi goon played by Ranbir in the film and the trio unite for a special dance number, Hand Uthake Nachche, where the two generations are pitted against each other in a jugalbandi.
The song composed by Lalit Pandit will have Daler Mehndi voicing Rishi while Ranbir's part will be sung by Mika.

A source close to the film's director Abhinav Kashyap told Mirror, "In the film Rishi and Neetu chase around Ranbir and the song will have a jugalbandi between the Kapoors reflecting the old v/s new theme."
Ranbir is currently in Sri lanka shooting for Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet and is expected to arrive back in Mumbai by the end of this month for the song's schedule.

"A set is being constructed at Film City and choreographer Bosco and Ceasar have been roped in for this song. Sunidhi Chauhan will be the voice of Neetu Kapoor and Abhinav is leaving no stone unturned for the big day. He has told his team to make sure that everything is in place before the Kapoors arrive to ensure a smooth shoot," the source added.

Vikram Bhatt’s horror film without sex and songs

Vikram Bhatt’s horror film without sex and songs

Vikram Bhatt who is known for his scare to death film is nn a bid to
separate himself from rest of the bollywood crowd. He will have no sex
or song in his upcoming Horror flick Horror Story.

“The film relentlessly showcases horror. I assure you that it’s horror
from the first scene to the last and has been shot in an international
format. The highlight of the film is that there is no song and no
other frills. We have introduced a lot of new talent through this film
and they have done a fabulous job. The film is all set to give the
audience an edge-of-the-seat experience.” Says Vikram.

Vikram is experimenting with all new star cast this time. Asking about
the reason he replies, “My film does not need stars. So I took the
trouble of giving a launch pad to new comers. This definitely brings
in new faces for the celluloid. However I feel big stars cannot turn
the audience fearful.”

“Horror Story” revolves around seven youngsters who challenge each
other to spend the night at the infamous hotel in the heart of the
city. Little did the friends know that their idea of fun will turn out
to be the most horrendous night of their life.

Vikram has a lot of expectations from Horror Story, talking about the
expectation from the film, Vikram says, “Hope the horror film is
fearful enough for the audience to clench their teeth and stick to
their seats. If they do so, I will feel I have been successful is
freighting them to the heights of fearfulness.”

Karan Kundra the television actor also debuts with this film along
with Ravish Desai, Hasan Zaidi, Nishant Malkani,  Aparna Bajpai,
Radhika Menon, Nandini Vaid.
