Talented Anaishaa Pinkesh Nahar, a 6-year-old, Mumbai city girl of Vibgyor High School, Goregaon makes us proud once again this year by accomplishing a perfect score of 7 on 7 in the Girls category of Maharashtra Under - 7 State Chess Championship Tournament held at Amature Chess Association, Kolhapur. The championship was held from 24th May to 27th May 2018 and she won the championship title in her brilliant style by her will and talent, she left no stone unturned to be the youngest charmer to win the championship this year. 

Last year Anaishaa Nahar was seen impressing CM Devendra Fadnavis with her constant win and by contributing her prize money to the Farmer’s Relief Fund (Scheme by CM). This year also she gave her 1st prize money and also all the rewards she got in last one year namely by coming 1st in 34th Singapore Nationals in 2017 along with another tournament prize money earned in last 1 year to the noble cause of our Hon CM whose efforts she considers to be iconic. At such a tender age, Anaishaa has been thinking big and wise and definitely proves that she is the best at what she does. Just like the previous year, she has again contributed her prize money and funds from her tournament towards the Farmer’s Relief Fund, making all of us proud yet again with such a mature gesture. 

At the tender age of 6 years of playing around and learning, Anaishaa is already so determined and well-focused. She has indeed created a historical moment by winning the championship by being unbeatable by all her 7 opponents at such a tender age. She is already on the roll and working hard for her upcoming Nationals Chess Championship - Under 7 & International tournaments across the world.

Fujifilm India has very aggressive plans for the expansion of its X Series in the Indian Market. Both the shape of the light-gathering micro-lenses and the processing from the photodiodes have been customized to achieve a high level of sharpness and broad dynamic range. And thanks to the excellent light reception performance due to the large area of each pixel, room to spare is created in the camera's high sensitivity performance and tone reproduction, achieving high image quality exceeding that of cameras equipped with full size sensors with an equivalent number of pixels. Therefore, precise images can be reproduced down to the smallest detail, conveying the texture of the subject, a three-dimensional feeling, and even the atmosphere of the scene.
(2) Equipped with X-Processor Pro image processing engine
By using the highly rated X-Processor Pro, which is also used in the X-Pro2 and X-T2 cameras, it is possible to experience Fujifilm's acclaimed Film Simulation color reproduction with an ultra-high quality large size sensor. (3) Compact and lightweight body with high rigidity due to the adoption of magnesium alloy
With a weight of approx. 1230g when paired with a standard lens (GF63mm F2.8 R WR), the camera weighs approx. 60% of a medium format DSLR camera equipped with a sensor of the same size. Even when compared to a DSLR camera with a slightly smaller full size sensor, the camera comes in at almost the same weight. Overall camera body height and width have also been minimized for maximum flexibility, overturning the common perceptions regarding the mobility of medium format digital cameras.
(4) 3.69M-dot organic EL electronic viewfinder and 2.36M-dot touchscreen LCD back panel
A detachable structure has been adopted which allows for flexible operation according to how the user wishes to use it. Also, by attaching the separately sold EVF-TL1 EVF tilt adapter, the angle can be changed to a maximum angle of 90° when shooting horizontal landscapes and ±45° when shooting in the portrait position. A 3.2-inch, 2.36M-dot touch panel has been adopted for the rear monitor, allowing the user to use touch operations for the selection of the menu, distance measuring points and viewing of images that have been taken. The inclusion of a three-directional tilting LCD screen improves operability and makes viewing images and checking focus even easier.
(5) Newly developed large diameter G Mount with excellent robustness and durability
Utilizing the merits of newly developing both a camera body and lenses simultaneously, the GFX 50S adopts a large diameter/short flange back mount with a diameter of 65mm and a flange back of 26.7mm. This construction improves the freedom of the optical design of the lens, greatly contributing to high image quality and miniaturization of the body.
(6) Newly developed ultra-high resolution FUJINON GF Lenses
In preparation for the future, the GF Lens series, newly designed specifically for the GFX 50S, possesses the resolving power capable of supporting a sensor with 100 MP. The lens barrel also features an aperture ring in the same manner as XF Lenses, supporting the intuitive operation of photographers. A C (=Command) Position has been newly added to the aperture ring as well, allowing users to change the aperture using the command dial on the camera's body. In order to prevent incorrect operation, the A (=Auto) Position and C Position feature a locking button installed on the aperture ring that must be disabled to implement changes.
  • The FUJINON GF23mmF4 R LM WR: has a focal length equivalent to 18mm in the 35mm format and is perfectly suited for landscape and architectural applications. Despite the super-wide angle of view, distortion is kept to a minimum, and with the high-resolution performance extending all the way to the edges, sharp depiction power as if looking at an actual landscape is achieved. It features fast and quiet AF due to a linear motor, is dust and weather resistant, and is capable of operating in environments as cold as -10°C. The lens combines high performance and reliability as a professional work tool.
  • The FUJINON GF45mmF2.8 R WR: is a highly versatile wide angle lens with a focal length equivalent to 36mm (on a 35mm format) and maximum F2.8 aperture. Thanks to its compact and lightweight design (weighing only 490g), this lens is ideal for street and documentary photography.
  • The FUJINON GF63mmF2.8 R WR: This lens features an angle of view of approximately 50mm in 35mm format equivalent. Adopting a compact and stylish design, the external form of this small and lightweight lens has a diameter of just 84.0x71.0mm with a weight of only 405g. The optical system features a construction of 8 groups and 10 elements, including 1 ED lens element. This lens type was adopted being the most suitable for a compact size, with the utmost priority placed on resolution performance.
  • The FUJINON GF110mmF2 R LM WR: is a medium telephoto lens for portraits. With a focal length equivalent to 87mm in the 35mm format, it achieves a brightness of F2.0 when used wide open to deliver beautiful bokeh. The high resolving power of the area in focus and the rich bokeh unique to medium format fast lenses depicts portraits with a realistic three-dimensional feel.
  • The FUJINON GF120mmF4 R LM OIS WR macro: The optical system features a construction of 9 groups and 14 elements, including 3 ED lens elements. By adopting a floating focus method using a linear motor, silent and high-speed autofocusing is achieved while aberrations from long distances to short distances are corrected in a satisfactory manner, dramatically increasing the resolution. Furthermore, by arranging the ED lenses in a well-balanced manner, chromatic aberrations are also properly corrected, contributing to a high-quality image.
  • The FUJINON GF250mmF4 R LM OIS WR: is a telephoto lens that achieves approximately 198mm in 35mm format equivalent, bringing together Fujifilm’s proprietary optical design technology: it offers high resolving power for supporting further enhancement of image resolution in the future. The lens can capture the atmosphere of any scene through a combination of high-resolution performance and rich bokeh effect. Attaching the “GF1.4X TC WR”, a 1.4x teleconverter provides coverage for telephoto shooting up to approximately 277mm in 35mm format equivalent, without any image quality deterioration.
  • The FUJINON GF32-64mmF4 R LM WR: The optical system features a construction of 11 groups and 14 elements, each using one of the three types of lens elements, aspheric lens, ED lens and super ED lens, including the large aperture high precision aperture lens, achieving high image quality equivalent to single-focus lenses from wide angles up to standard focal distances. As a result, the lens demonstrates extremely high performance from the centre all the way to the edges. The lens adopts an inner focusing method, reducing the weight of the focus lens and achieving fast and silent AF by driving focusing using a linear motor.

Supporting this noble initiative, people of different age groups joined the stride that was led by the famous toon characters Shin Chan and Garfield. Along with the toon friends customers, people working around in offices, NGO volunteers, societies around the mall walked and supported the initiative. More than 500 participants and volunteers showed great enthusiasm in propagating the message ‘Say No to Plastic’. The volunteers distributed more than 5000 eco-friendly bags among the crowd encouraging people to avoid the use of plastic bags.
The event created quite a buzz among kids, as they got a chance to meet their favourite toon friends. The 1.5 km walk commenced from Inorbit mall and has garnered tremendous response from the patrons. With the government of India’s plastic ban, Inorbit mall wanted to support this cause for a better tomorrow. The BMC P South ward, traffic department and Police division of Malad supported the cause.

Harinder Sikka's 'Calling Sehmat' to launch for the audience next week!


Harinder Sikka's ‘Calling Sehmat’ makes an amazing read. Published by Penguin Random House, it is set to reach the readers early next week.
Calling Sehmat is a gripping story of a Kashmiri  Muslim lady who sacrificed herself and her family for the sake of her beloved country, India.
It took eight years of toil, research and few trips to Pakistan for Mr. Sikka to research and compile the story of this amazing lady based on whom a beautiful film titled ‘Raazi’ has just been released.
Even as the book is based on an espionage, it yet spreads the essence of peace, love, harmony and patriotism. The book goes into details on how Sehmat made inroads into the Pakistani brass and left them in tatters. In the process, she saved thousands of lives and left her mark with the Indian intelligentsia.
Mr. Sikka faced numerous challenges and took enormous risks in tracing her course in order to link together limited data into an amazing book. It's a saga that needs to be read for it fills the heart and minds of all Indians with pride.

“Theatre Ke Baad, Pehli Baar”

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar’s movie Padman breaks the stereotype of premiering on a television platform and is screening Theater Ke BaadPehli Baar on ZEE5, the largest multilingual digital entertainment destination for India! Post its blockbuster theatrical release, ZEE5 has been the first destination to premier Padman exclusively for an anytime, anywhere watch from May 11.

Expressing his thoughts on Padman’s digital release Akshay Kumar said, “With millennials more inclined towards digital entertainment, we know where the future is. Padman, through the courageous story of Arunachalam Muruganantham (played by Akshay Kumar), draws attention towards the sensitive topic of menstrual hygiene and how it is essential for the society that women have a right to it. The movie showcases true life story of a common man, who for the love of his wife tried to bring a social reformation by introducing low cost sanitary napkins in India.

Taking forward Padman’s concept, ZEE5 is doing their share by tying up with Saafkins and contributing to the #GiveHer5 campaign. For every subscription, ZEE5 will donate Rs 5 to Saafkins, world’s first reusable/ washable sanitary napkin, #KadamChhotaChangeBada. Mumbai, April 26th, 2018:  Brooke Bond Red Label Tea and Y‐Films, the youth films wing of Yash Raj Films’, have partnered once again to launch the second edition of the Brooke Bond Red Label Six Pack Band. This time the band features a bunch of six incredibly talented, specially-abled kids with exceptional music skills. A continuation of the globally recognised campaign, this ‘issphesal’ band is all set to break barriers and make the world a better place with its first single, titled ‘Jhakkad Pakkad Dance’. The foot-tapping number was unveiled yesterday by India’s beloved producer-director Karan Johar along with the six band members.
Conceived and produced by Ashish Patil, Head of Y-Films and curated by composer Shameer Tandon, the band hopes to break social barriers and pave the way for an inclusive society, sparking




conversation during the ongoing World Autism Month. The title track will be followed by a launch of six songs as a part of the ‘issphesal’ album, over a period of six months, to bring forward inspiring stories of the six talent powerhouses.

Constantia Flexibles, the world’s fourth largest flexible packaging group, is aiming to double its sales in India within the next five years. This is the result of its recent acquisition of a majority stake in Creative Polypack and its group companies, as well as expansion plans of its existing subsidiary Parikh Packaging.

Through the acquisition, Constantia Flexibles is already India’s third largest flexible packaging group and is expecting to reach the c. 200 million EUR sales mark (INR 1,600 crore) in 2022, through market growth and ongoing investments. The flexible packaging market in India is expected to grow by more than 10 percent in the next five years, driven by the megatrend urbanization and the expansion of the retail sector.

India has become the third largest economy in the world after USA and China, with high single-digit GDP growth, major infrastructure projects in roads and ports, a simplification of the tax system and rising private consumption, especially among the burgeoning middle-class.

Baumgartner was joined at a press conference in Mumbai by Pavan Parikh, Managing Director and founder of Parikh Packaging, B.K.Maheswari Managing Director and founder of Creative Polypack, along with his son Giriraj Maheswari, Joint Managing Director.

Creative Polypack Limited was founded in 1986 and is one of the leading flexible packaging groups in India. It achieved sales of about 75 million EUR in the business year ending March 31, 2018, and currently has about 850 employees at eight production sites in Baddi, Kanpur, Kolkata, Assam and Puducherry, in northern, eastern and southern India.

It manufactures film-based flexible packaging for the food and home & personal care (HPC) industries, as well as paper-based soap wrappers. The company serves the leading domestic and international consumer goods companies in India.

Creative Polypack intends to invest on average 6 million euro per year (INR 50 crore) in new production capacity, as well as other infrastructure, at its Kolkata, Baddi, Kanpur and Puducherry sites, in the coming years. Above all, it plans to double its capacity at the newly-established Assam site.

Before the acquisition of Creative Polypack, Constantia Flexibles was already a leading supplier of film-based flexible packaging for the Indian market since acquiring Parikh Packaging in 2013, which is based in Ahmedabad, western India. It has more than 500 employees and achieved sales of roughly 35 million EUR in 2017, serving the food and HPC industries.

Parikh Packaging is investing a double-digit million euro amount (INR 100 crore) in a new greenfield site in Ahmedabad, which will be home to a polyethylene blown film extruder, high-definition Flexo printing press and laminators that will produce high barrier laminates that can be fully recycled. The extra capacity will come on stream in 2019.

Major FMCGs are demanding the highest level of sustainability for their packaging material and the new investment will help them to comply with upcoming Indian Plastic Waste Management (PWM) regulations that promote only fully recyclable flexible packaging. The investment also fits in well with the Indian government’s campaign Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) to clean the nation.
