Salman starrers Bajrangi Bhaijan Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Top Featured Films Across Media

Mumbai: Calendar year 2015 saw Salman Khan starrers dominating all three forms of media – print, television and e-media. Bajrangi Bhaijan topped the charts followed by Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Tanu Weds Manu 2 and ABCD 2 in the second, third and fourth spot respectively.

“While Print and TV drove Bajrangi Bhaijan’s visibility among all top movies, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo had a more fluctuating breakout. It topped all movies in the web space and managed to retain the second spot in print, but lagged to the third spot in TV. Tanu Weds Manu 2 ranked third overall, but managed to pip Prem Ratan Dhan Payo to the second spot in Internet visibility,” says Ashutosh, Founder & CEO, Kanalytics, the firm that conducted the research.

Launched as India’s first comprehensive trans media intelligence tool by media honcho Ashutosh and Bollywood singer Kailash Kher, Kanalytics uses a proprietary technology based platform to map the presence of brands across media including print, television and the digital space. It uses algorithms to measure the context they have been presented in and the tone and tenor used to describe them both by the traditional as well as the digital media.

For Bajrangi Bhaijan, Salman Khan grabbed 28.4% of total media attention. Of the total write ups in print media, Salman’s share was 47% against 31% in the e-media. Karishma Kapoor trailed him with a share of 16 and 15% in print and e-media respectively. “Interestingly, child Artist Harshaali grabbed more attention than Nawazuddin. Apart from actor related stories, box office collection based stories drove Bajrangi Bhaijaan visibility. This was followed by music and marketing stories,” says Ashutosh.

“If we were to summarize 2015, Bollywood coverage was singlehandedly dominated by Salman Khan. Among movies that did not feature Salman Khan, the lead actresses, in contrast, dominated coverage. In Tanu Weds Manu 2 Kangana Ranaut grabbed 44% media attention against R Madhavan’s 16% and Shraddha Kapoor led with 33% against Varun Dhavan’s 31% in print and TV in ABCD 2. Also interesting to note was that by and large industry coverage was positive. A negligible 1% coverage was devoted to negative or controversial stories, Bajrangi Bhaijan being the only notable exception grabbing some negative buzz. Box office and other cast stories were also key driver for movies in 2015. But here too, Bajarangi Bhaijaan bucked the trend with music related stories getting a fair share of the exposure,” concludes Ashutosh.

Sonakshi Sinha to groove to the beats of her maiden single, 'Aaj Mood Ishqholic Hai'



We have seen her acting, dancing and even doodling, but this time Sonakshi Sinha has gone one step ahead and have recorded her single debut, Aaj Mood Ishqholic Hai. The peppy hip-hop number is composed by Meet Bros and Kumarhas penned down the lyrics. the video has been shot in the locales of Goa with a sun kissed beach background and is choreographed by Salman Yusuff Khan of Dance India Dance fame. The gorgeous diva is seen in a carefree bohemian look in the song. 

When quizzed Sonakshi about the song she said, "the song is about being high on love. Love makes the world go round and its something that gives you a heady feeling that nothing else can." 

Talking about her look in the song, she added, "I wanted a very bohemian look for the video, and best place to be in that particular style is Goa because of its hippie vibe.

Lastly she added, with T Series- Bhushan Kumar, Meet Brothers, Kumar(songwriter) and Gifty (Director) i was able to do right!

Lovepreet Sangha and Satender Ved Pal to Debut at WWE Live™ India

Arjun Rampal Launches the Trailer of ‘Ishq Forever’ - The New Age Rom-Com Of 2016











It was the Grand Trailer Launch of Sameer Sippy's directorial venture 'Ishq Forever'. The film starring Krishna Chaturvedi, Ruhi Singh, Lisa Ray and Jaaved Jafferi were present for the trailer launch which was unveiled by special guest Arjun Rampal.

Arjun Rampal and Shabeer Boxwala shared a nostalgia trip from their past movies, they did together.

Swwapnil Joshi's "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" comes with a Friendship Anthem Now




The makers of F.R.I.E.N.D.S have released the song ‘Dil Dosti Yaari Vaari’ composed by Amit Raj. The song a friendship anthem of sorts has been sung by Amitraj and Harshavardhan Wavare.
The song has been shot on Swapnil Joshi and Sachit Patil along with a group of friends and revolves around the wonderful memories and the strong bond of friendship shared by Swapnil Joshi and Sachit Patil in the movie. How they go along with their group of friends and have fun together.
It's a very peppy upbeat number and will make the listeners relive all those happy memories of their college days.
Music director Amitraj has used the Akekplay for the first time in a Marathi song and the music director was not sure about using it for this song. "When director R. Madhesh told me to use this form in the song I was not sure. I was confused how I would merge Akekplay in the song. But we did it and the song has turned out really well. The whole credit goes to director R, Madhesh as he had convictions and vision about the song. I got great feeback from everyone after the song was completed" says Amitraj.
For those who are not aware of the term Akekplay is where the rhythm is created with the mouth vocals.
Amitraj says "it's a western song and nobody can guess it has Indian pattern rhythm. It's a rollercoaster ride with plenty of dynamics and variations. It is a song of bonding and friendship where Swapnil and Sachit are coming together for the first time. They have danced well to the beats of the songs" he adds.
The film stars Swapnil Joshi and Sachit Patil alongwith Sagar Karande and Gauri Nalawade. Produced by Sanjay Kelapure, Manish Chanda & Prem Vyas from Blue Eye Arts. The film is directed by R.Madhesh and Promoted by Gseams. The film is all set for a 22nd January release in 2016.

Wave Cinemas to present Zubaan. Releasing March 4.


Raju Chadha led Wave Cinemas will release Mozez Singh's debut feature film "Zubaan" on 4th March 2016.

The musical is produced by Guneet Monga and Shaan Vyas of Sikhya Entertainment (makers of The Lunchbox and Masaan) & Metamozez Entertainment. 

Zubaan stars Vicky Kaushal and Sarah-Jane Dias in the lead roles. Vicky, one of the best debuts this year in the critically acclaimed Masaan, will also be seen in Anurag Kashyap and Aanand L Rai's next projects. Sarah was greatly appreciated in her last outing, the recently released and critically-acclaimed Angry Indian Goddesses.

Zubaan won accolades when it opened Asia's biggest film festival, the Busan International Film Festival held earlier this year with director Mozez Singh bagging the Rising Director award. It recently also played to an overwhelming response amongst the Indian communities of Los Angeles, New York and Vancouver.

Harshali Malhotra bags Aadhi Aabadi Women Achievers Award 2015

Harshali Malhotra the youngest Awardee of Aadhi Aabadi Women Achiever's Award. She made her film debut with a prominent character in Kabir Khan's 2015 drama film Bajarangi Bhaijaan, opposite Opposite Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
