Anurag Kashyap Hosts A Special Screening Of The Wolf of Wall Street

The Wolf of Wall Street has been creating massive buzz worldwide for all the right reasons, starting from the pairing of Oscar Winning Director Martin Scorsese & Leonardo DiCaprio. Well the film now seems to have also caught B’Towns fancy as all the who’s who were seen attending a special screening of the film held last night hosted by none other than Anurag Kashyap.

Kashyap & Scorsese share a very mutually admiring relationship; keeping that in mind Anurag hosted this screening of Scorsese’s upcoming release The Wolf of Wall Street.

Ranbir Kapoor & Katrina Kaif made a timely entry together; right after Anurag Kashyap and Kay Kay Menon. Followed by Anushka Sharma, Imtiaz Ali, Arjun kapoor, Ayan Mukherji. Even Nasserudin Shah along with son Vivaan Shah & wife Ratna Pathak were a part of the screening followed by none other than Kiran Rao.

Some other stars who were also a part of this occasion were Abhinav Kashyap, Abhishek Kapoor, Goldie Behl, Arunoday Singh, Sarah Jane Dias & Vikas Bahl. It was no surprise to see such a wonderful turnout for the occasion as Martin Scorsese is one of the most revered directors in the cinematic fraternity today coupled along with Leonardo DiCaprio it had to be just pure magic on-screen.

The iconic movie Sholay has been given a new format to make it appealing to the youth. The movie is soon going to be releasing in the 3D version.

The iconic movie Sholay has been given a new format to make it appealing to the youth. The movie is soon going to be releasing in the 3D version. The makers decided to remix and launch the classic dance number Mehbbooba.

This would not only make the song more exciting but also appeal the youth audience.

During the meeting with Salim-Javed for the trailer launch of the movie the makers discussed the idea with the icon duo.

Mahbooba being an evergreen hit, they were of the opinion that the song original song should remain as it is. The remix version will only disturbe the glory of the sassy dance number of Helen.

So the makers have come up with an idea of creating a mash up of the 4 four songs from the movie.

The makers will be using the mash up for the promotional and marketing purposes.

The 3D version will be hitting the silver screen on 3rd January.

Jayantilal Gada of PEN said, "We want the entire cast of Sholay to happily be a part of our 3D initiative. So we decided to drop the idea of remixing Mehbooba and made a mashup of 4 songs."

Mahabharat Jodies

The animated film Mahabharat is bringing together a multifaceted cast to give voice. Mahabharat is India's first animation film that has used expression as well as voice of stellar actors. The movie has also bought together some of the much appreciated duo of Bollywood - Amitabh Bachchan (Bheeshma Pitamah)-Shatrughan Sinha (Krishna), Anil Kapoor (Karna)- Jackie Shroff (Duryodhan) and Ajay Devgn (Arjun)-Manoj Bajpayee (Yudishtir).

·         Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrugan Sinha who will be seen playing Bheeshma Pitama and Krishna will be working together after 40 years. Both have been one of the most memorable duo onscreen. They have starred in some epic movies like Dostana and Kaala Patthar.

·         Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff who will be seen playing Duryodhan and Karan have been best known for their role as Ram Lakhan. Both the actors have made a remarkable Jodi in Ram Lakhan which they continued in some other movie like Trimuti and 1947 A Love Story.

·         Ajay Devgan and Manoj Bajpai who will be seen playing Arjun and Yudishthir who will be seen as brothers in the movie have given great performances in movies like Raajneeti and Satyagraha.

We have learnt that film critic Karan Anshuman will be turning director with the comedy 'Bangistan', being produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The film will have Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat playing young guns with ordinary talent and lofty ideologies. It will go on the floor in May 2014 and will have the two boys follow the lives of blundering terrorists on a mission to change the world. Whether Riteish and Pulkit manage to change the world or not, they will make us laugh for sure.

Abhay Deol, who turns producer with his forthcoming film "One By Two" has forayed into production for the very first time. However, the Deol family advised Abhay to not getting into production at such an early stage.

The actor's family was keen for him to continue with acting and try more films. They were worried about him but at the same time encouraged him to do what he wanted to with their support always being there.

 As Abhay has done some quite unique films in past, his performance has always been appreciated by the audience. The actor has attempted on doing different role each time. Manorama six feet under and Dev D are such examples.

Abhay's family (Dharmendra and Sunny Deol) advised him on focusing on acting at present. But Abhay was quite keen on doing something different with giving a platform to new talent in terms of directors, actors and writers.

He wants to try his hands onto production and continue with acting parallely. The film "One By Two" stars Abhay Deol and Preeti Desai in lead roles. Preeti, who is making her debut with this film, will be seen opposite Abhay for the very first time.

Abhay adds "My family advised me not to get into production. They did not want me to venture into production right now. But producing One By Two has been a great experience with my long time friend Amit Kapoor who has co-produced it and my friend and supporter Sanjay Kapoor"

One By Two, which was initially set to release on 7th Feb, but because brother Sunny Deol's forthcoming film is also set to release on the same day, Abhay pre-poned the films release.

The films trailer was recently released and has received positive feedback. It is set to hit theaters on 31st January'14.

Ali Zafar and Yami Gautam's forthcoming film "Total Siyapaa" that revolves around a love story of an Indian girl and Pakistani boy have some hilarious moments in the film. A glimpse of that has also been featured in the trailer.

Also Pakistani cricketer, Shahid Afridi's name has been used in the film.

The cricketer recently saw the trailer of the film and after learning this, he is very keen to know as to in what context have the makers used his name.

Afridi has also written to Reliance Entertainment expressing his wish to know in what context has his name been used in the film.

The makers are quite confident of this being taken in absolute jest. 

The film is an interesting romance between a Pakistani boy and an Indian girl. Neeraj Pandey, producer  and Eniwas, the director have bought together a unique starcast which also includes Anupam kher and Kirron Kher.

Audiences have given positive feedback on the trailer and are now awaiting for the release of the film
