Malaika Arora Khan launches Anj Kouture by Anjoo and Hoshi Karanjia in Bandra west!








The pouring rains, the blocked roads and the heavy traffic jams did not deter the launch of Bandra West's latest shopping sojourn, Anj Kouture! The store which is the brainchild of multi facetted owner, Anjoo Karanjia opened with great fanfare and pomp as Malaika Arora Khan launched it on a rainy Saturday evening!

The cynosure of all eyes, Malaika looked like a true diva in a pale pink Anj Kouture creation as she cut the ribbon and congratulated the owners, Anjoo and Hoshi Karanjia for their latest venture. A stampede was created as everyone wanted to get a glimpse of Malaika who never lost her cool even once and was enjoying taking selfies with her fans present at the store launch.'

Speaking at the launch, Malaika said that, "Anjoo and Hoshi are dear friends of mine and therefore I am delighted to be a part of this launch today despite the weather! I knew I had to come here to show my appreciation for the beautiful creations of Anj Kouture and so here I am."  Speaking on the collection of the store, Malaika then said that, "Their collection is aptly called Whisper of Romance‘ and has been designed by the uber talented Director of Operations of Anj Kouture, Mehvish Majithia. Mehvish has put her heart and soul into this collection that personifies feminine energy.  The exquisite collection has a blend of the 50’s era along with a touch of Persian art. This collection is chic, floral and instantly transports one to a nostalgic lane of the 1950s. What I am wearing today is also designed by Mehvish and I absolutely love it!" 

Also present and creating a stir at the launch was Big Boss sensation Gautam Gulati who even tried on a jacket from the Menswear collection at Anj Kouture! Gautam and Hoshi were seen chatting away and discussing how easy it is for men to dress over women who take hours! Divya Khosla Kumar was also spotted in a chic black suit and was admiring the clothes at Anj Kouture and complimenting the owner, Anjoo Karanjia.

​109 days to shoot waterfall sequence in Baahubali ​



S S Rajamouli shot the waterfall sequence of his upcoming film Baahubali for 109 days.

The total time that took to shoot this particular sequence was almost equal to 1/3rd of the total shooting time of the film.

This was because it was one of the most important sequences of the film. The waterfall is almost a character in the film. It is pivotal to the fate of the lead actor’s life in the film. It is there from his childhood days till he grows.

The sequence features lead actor, Prabhas.

S S Rajamouli was personally involved in the recce of the place since he wanted the perfect location for the waterfall.

They shot at 3 different waterfall locations for the sequence.

Baahubali is the first ever Indian film that transcends regional boundaries and has a pan-India appeal.

Presented by Karan Johar, Baahubali is set to release on 10th July.

Kriti who hails from Delhi, has taken a brief trip to Singapore and is making the most of it.​

The young actress has shopped for as many as 6 pair of shoes! Kriti who has a strong fetish for shoes has extensively shopped for shoes in Singapore.

The actress is extremely satisfied with the purchase and has gone on a shopping spree after a while. She has picked these up in different colours, both bright and pastel. She has extensively shopped for stilettos, flats, peep toes etc.

Kriti now has a brand new addition to the already huge collection of shoes that she owns back home.

Kriti shares, "I have a fetish for shoes. How many ever shoes i have, they seem less. I end up splurging a lot to add to my collection."

Kriti, who is made it big on her own merit has achieved quite a bit in such a short span of time.

After a dream launch in Heropanti, which also was a huge success at the box office, the actress is already starring in a film along with SRK, Kajol & Varun Dahwan.

Salman Khan to Cycle his way through his fans hearts with Bajrangi Bhaijaan.


Bajrangi Bhaijaan's trailer is out, and the films glimpses show the actor Cycling while commuting in the film.
The actor himself insisted on cycling to travel in the film as he considers it lucky for his films.
Salman was last seen cycling in Kick. 
The cycle scene from Kick was listed as the most memorable scenes of the film and it invited maximum hooting from his beloved fans.
Salman is also often spotted cycling at Bandra, Bandstand.
Considering that his Bicycle is his favourite mode of Transport, the films Director, Kabir Khan readily agreed to incorporate it in the film.

Which resulted in Salman travelling on his Bicycle throughout the film.

​Delhi Belly fame writer Akshat Verma is all set to make his Bollywood Debut with Indo British Producer Michael Ward's film Bombairiya. Akshat will be essaying the role of a hot headed film director in the film.

e same Akshat says, " I am very excited about being a part of Bombairiya. It is a special script and the writing is unique. The irony of the journey from Delhi Belly to Bombairiya is something that I have only just registered. I suppose it's quite special being associated with the top two cities of India. I'm not a trained actor but being on the other side of the camera has been an amazing experience. Pia is a great director and is very clear about her vision. She knows what she wants and she knows how to get it from her actors.'
Akshat is also directing Anushka's Sharma's next project. It will be a fun experience to see how a real life director depicts himself in a film.

अब हर कोई कहता है "ओ देख कबूतर"​-स्वरा



फिल्म   तनु  वेड्स  मनु  रिटर्न्स में स्वरा भास्कर की दमदार पेरफोरनेंस ने लोगो के दिलो में घर बना चुकी है इतना ही नहीं अब तो लोगो  ने स्वरा भास्कर को चिढ़ाना भी शुरू कर दिया है  दरअसल बात यह है की   फिल्म  में एक सीन है जहाँ पर स्वरा कंगना को कहती हैं वो देख कबूतर और फिर उन्हें एक थप्पड़ लगा देती हैं  ये  चीज़  लोगो  को  इतनी  पसंद  आई  की  अब  लोग  रियल लाइफ  में   भी  स्वरा  को  इस  डायलॉग  से  चिढ़ाने भी  लगे  हैं . खबर  है  की  हालही  में  जब  वो  एक  इवेंट  में  गयी  तो  लोगो  ने  उन्हें  देखकर आवाज़े  लगाना  शुरू  कर  दिया  “ओ  देख  कबूतर ” इस  बारे  में  स्वरा का  कहना  है  की  यह  सुनकर  मुझे  पहले  थोड़ा  अजीब  सा  लगा  पर फिल्म में मैंने  इसे  कॉम्प्लीमेंट  के  रूप  में   लिया  क्यूंकि  फिल्म  में  मेरा  यही  करैक्टर  था  और काम  से  काम  इसी  बहाने  मैंने  लोगो  के  दिलो  में  अपनी  जगह  बना  ली .. ऑडियंस  ही  नहीं  बल्कि  मेरे  दोस्त  भी  मुझे  हमेशा   कबूतर  ही  दिखाते  रहते  हैं

Tanu Weds Manu Returns has been a roaring success and the entire cast has been praised for stellar performances. The  talented Swara Bhaskar  returned to her old role as straight speaking Payal in 2015's first blockbuster Tanu Weds Manu Returns. And this scene stealer earned rave reviews from industry insiders and audiences alike for her brief appearance as Payal in the film.
Her performance and magnetic screen presence has caught eyeballs and appreciation and it seems the audience's imagination too. 
It is learnt that Swara is now being greeted by friends and strangers alike with the popular line from the film "Voh dekh kabootar"..
The versatile actress confirms the news saying, "Indeed looks like that scene and dialogue has stuck in people's imagination. I am often greeted now with people asking me voh dekh kabootar. It's understandable when friends and people i know tease me thus, but funnily twice strangers at the airport and someone in a shop have teased me in the same way", she laughs.
"I was surprised but took it as a compliment for the film and my performance. It's nice that people remember your moments in the film, shows that your performance stayed with them."
Indeed! Well here is one impactful actor, what can we say except voh dekh kabootar.

100 trucks of Gulaal used in ‘Selfie Le Le Re’


'Selfie Le Le Re’ has all the makings of a Chartbuster. Be it the pint sized Vaanar sena or be it the larger than life setting of the song through huge number of professional dancers and colorful backdrop, everything about ‘Selfie Le Le Re’ has been appreciated since the time of its release. It wasn’t easy for the makers to achieve this look for the song. 'Selfie Le Le Re' being Salman's entry point in the film, the makers left no stone unturned to make it look larger than life. The makers had to bring in as many  as 100 trucks filled with Gulaal to create that vibrant atmosphere all throughout the song.

The song is set against the backdrop of devotion towards lord Hanuman and Salman is portraying a character who is a true devotee of Lord Hanuman. As the makers received the track from music director Pritam they instantly knew that this will be huge hit among the masses and didn’t want to compromise on the overall treatment of the song. Other than 100 trucks of Gulaal several trucks of flower petals and confetti’s were also arranged for the shoot of the song.
Salman is seen matching steps with a large number of professional dancers, who rehearsed for several days to get their moves right. ‘Selfie Le Le Re’ is the 1st song released from Bajrangi Bhaijaan and the heart thumping music has been composed by Pritam.

The ‘Grand Jury meet’ is a distinctive event that showcases top rated  unique, creative and innovative designs from some of the most reputable jewellery houses across the country.

To keep pace with it, jewellery retailers are reimaging design and making it more versatile and cosmopolitan. After two rigorous rounds of selection over 200 world class-precious jewellery designs across 12 categories including 4 vivah and 8 non-vivah jewellery categories have come in from across India.The pieces displayed at the ‘Grand Jury Meet’ have been screened through a rigorous 2-tier selection process that includes initial screening (for adherence to entry guidelines) by IMRB, process auditors for the awards, followed by an online judging by the jury.

The Jury Panel included Neha Dhupia (Actress), Michelle Poonawalla(Director, Poonawalla Group of Engineering Companies), Rouble Nagi (Artist Muralist), Ananya Banerjee (Artist), Vaishali Banerjee(Managing Director, Platinum Guild India), Shazia Khan (Vice President & Strategic Planning Director, JWT), Radha Kapoor (Founder & Executive Director, Indian School of Design and Innovation (ISDI) and AshitKukian(President & COO, Radio City 91.1 FM).

She is a double graduate in Commerce and Law. She holds diploma in fine arts from Birla Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata and from Academy of Arts, Romford in England. Radha’s creative flair and attention to detail cultivated her to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design at Parsons The New School for Design, New York. Through a combination of projects and internships, Radha has gained an in-depth understanding of multidisciplinary and collaborative approaches to design processes, addressing branding, visual identity, design history, digital technology, communication theory, sustainable graphic design, design research and creative entrepreneurship. She also holds a ‘Graduate Gemologist in diamonds and colored stones’ and ‘Accredited Jewelry Professional’ Diplomas from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), New York. Upon graduating from Parsons, Radha set up DOIT CREATIONS in 2009 as her holding umbrella company to conceptualize and promote new creative and innovative concepts. Rouble Nagi, Artist & Muralist
Born in Jammu and Kashmir to an Army officer, Rouble Nagi, who loved painting since an early age, graduated in Commerce before deciding to be a professional artist during her teenage years. An alumnus of the Slade School of Fine Art in London, Rouble is the only Indian artist who does nearly 38 different mediums and has done 800 exhibitions of her work all over the world. A great admirer of the works of Rabindranath Tagore, Amrita Sher-Gill and M.F Husain, Rouble describes herself as an abstract artist and says that her art is inspired by life itself. Apart from her art, Rouble’s prime passion is her art foundation, the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation (RNAF), which strives to help under-privileged children discover the artist in themselves. The Rouble Nagi Art Foundation (RNAF) was started to help feed a child’s creativity which can provide benefits in all areas of life- personal, professional and even spiritual as Rouble believes that children should be encouraged in thought and action. Interestingly,  she has tried to take this cause further by roping in friends such as popular filmmaker Subhash Ghai and art patron Asha Patel to form the Nagi Art Foundation (RNAF), with the vision of providing a platform for these children and nurturing their latent artistic talent. Rouble’s foundation works closely with NGO Pratham to help organize camps supported by senior artists from both India and abroad. Nagi also sponsored artists who couldn’t exhibit their art and wok. RNAF sponsors and curate shows for young upcoming and physically challenge artists, who cannot afford to exhibit their works.
