team HNY does it with panache!

After performing at the very successful SLAM! The Tour in USA and Canada, team Happy New Year was seen at theGoogle Headquarter and Twitter Headquarter in San Jose, USA making it the first Indian film team to visit these digital giants.

Farah Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah were seen having a delightful time with employees of Google and Twitter, especially with the Indian Amercians who could not get enough of their very own ‘Indiawaales’.

At Twitter, the team was welcomed by CEO Dick Constolo, and then went on to click a fun selfie. 

The team finally came back to India in the wee hours of Wednesday and were warmly welcomed by media. Inspite of being exhausted, the team stayed a while to share their experience of being a part of SLAM. But the highlight was a special Happy New Year bus to go back to their respective homes.

USA, October 1, 2014 – Over the past 48 hours, fans of Angry Birds have discovered a reveal within the game: by slinging one billion birds, fans had the chance to unlock the voice cast and get a sneak peek at the new look of the characters of the Angry Birds feature film. 

Jason Sudeikis (Horrible Bosses, last year’s comedy hit We're the Millers) will lead the cast as Red, a bird with a temper problem.  Josh Gad, in his first animated role since the global smash hit Frozen, plays speedy Chuck, and Danny McBride (This is the End, Eastbound & Down) portrays the volatile Bomb.  Bill Hader (Saturday Night Live, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) has joined the pork side, Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids, The Maya Rudolph Show) will play Matilda, and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones, X-Men: Days of Future Past) will play the legendary Mighty Eagle.

In the supporting roles, Keegan-Michael Key (Comedy Central’s Key & Peele), Kate McKinnon (Emmy nominee for Saturday NightLive), Tony Hale (Emmy winner for Veep, Arrested Development), Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, The Mindy Project), Hannibal Buress (Broad City, Neighbors), Cristela Alonzo (ABC’s upcoming Cristela), Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street), Danielle Brooks (Orange is the New Black), Grammy nominee and Latin music sensation Romeo Santos, and YouTube stars Smosh (Ian Andrew Hecox and Anthony Padilla), who have over 30 million YouTube subscribers, will bring an extra kick to this angry flock.

“We heard limbs and dialogue were all the rage in modern animation so we went all in. Not just one, but all of our characters have legs and wings! Except for the pigs, that is,” added Blanca Juti, Chief Marketing Officer of Rovio.

The upcoming movie marks Rovio’s first foray into feature films, although fans have already been introduced to the Angry Birds world with the weekly Angry Birds Toons animated series. Rovio launched the series last year through its Angry Birds game, as well as on select video-on-demand channel providers, Smart TVs, connected devices, and on select TV networks around the world. Paving the way for a full-length feature film, Angry Birds Toons has been a massive success for Rovio and has surpassed more than three billion views in its first 18 months.

Set to debut in the US on July 1, 2016, Angry Birds is directed by Fergal Reilly and Clay Kaytis, produced by John Cohen and Catherine Winder, and executive produced by Mikael Hed and David Maisel. The film is written by Jon Vitti. The film, which will be distributed globally by Sony Pictures, is produced by Rovio, and the Academy Award®-winning visual effects and animation company Sony Pictures Imageworks, headquartered in Vancouver, B.C., is the animation facility for the production.

Bang Bang Special Screening

​The much awaited film Bang Bang hits screens today.​

The special screening of the film took place yesterday, 1st October at Juhu PVR.

The screening saw a lot of friends and family of the cast.

Hrithik looked cool and casual in a jeans, t shirt and cap, while Katrina Kaif looked svelte and classy in a black number.

Bang Bang is a high on action film with stylish sequences. Hrithik and Katrina are back with their sizzling chemistry.

There has been great anticipation for Bang Bang.

Rajkumar Hirani has seemed to buried himself in the dungeon. The director has been working in his basement, day and night, rushing to finish the edit of his upcoming film PK.

So much so that he has been totally cut off with the outside world, minimized his interaction and barely steps out.

The only person Raju has been in constant touch with is Sanjay Dutt. Both the actor - director have worked with each other on 2 films and share a great bond.

Raju Hirani has recently got emotionally charged with a letter he received from Sanjay Dutt. Both have been in constant communication through hand written letters. On a regular basis Sanjay Dutt has been writing letters to Raju.

The actor has asked Raju about the first poster of the film as the new inmates of Sanjay have been raving about it.

The actor has been away from any news and communication from outside. He gets to read only old news papers in the jail. He has no idea on what the poster has been. He was very excited about the poster as he had got very good reviews from the inmates.

He wrote a long letter to Raju talking about the feedback he received in the jail on the poster and how excited he is when his poster will come out. 

Neelima Azeem: I am extremely proud of Shahid

Shahid Kapoor’s mom, Neelima Azeem, feels that his performance in Haider is his career's best performance.

The actor’s mom got a chance to watch the film just a couple of days back and when she watched it, she was out of words to explain how much she loved him in the film. All she did was gave Shahid a warm hug to express her feelings.

Haider, which is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet focuses on the relationship between a son and a mother.

His mom felt that Shahid deeply got into the skin of the character and his performance was beyond engaging.

Shahid’s mom has said that this performance of Shahid will always remain extremely special and close to her heart forever.

When contacted Neelima, she said, “Shahid has carried the film on his shoulders as it is his story. With Haider, he has delved deep in the role and emerged as a multi layered actor. He wins in his graph. What stays with you are his eyes. They are so prominent. It is a very difficult role that he has played. He is not Shahid Kapoor in even one scene. I am extremely proud of him not just as his mother but also as an actress.”

She further adds, “What sets a great actor apart from the other actors are his unique and extraordinary choices. And with Haider, Shahid has made the correct choices.”

The much awaited Friday release Bang Bang has flooded the box office. The film starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif has seen a huge opening collection.

Bang Bang created a stir with its teaser itself. They gave out only songs and a sneak peek into the film which has created great anticipation among the audiences. There has been a lot of excitement on the film which has bought back the sizzling chemistry of ZNMD duo Katrina and Hrithik.

The film started its advance booking on Sunday and has become one of the films to get full shows even before the release. Most of the shows uptil Sunday, in multiplexes as well as single screens are fast filling to house full.

Bang Bang has a big weekend from the 2nd till 5th and is expected to show huge numbers at the box office.

Now we can only wait and watch which records this film will break.

The actress plays the role of a Kashmiri journalist in the film and does full justice to her character.
