BURBANK, CA – October 23, 2013 – Showing no signs of coming back to Earth, Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Gravity” flew past the $300 million mark on Wednesday, October  23, less than three weeks after its record-breaking opening.  The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution, and Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, President of International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.
One of the best reviewed movies of this or any year, the Alfonso Cuarón-directed dramatic thriller has topped the box office for three consecutive weekends in North America as well as internationally, holding the number one spot in every major market in which it has opened. 
Strong word of mouth has made “Gravity” a must-see film that audiences and critics all agree is best experienced in 3D.  Moviegoers around the globe have flocked in record numbers to see the film in the immersive 3D format, which has proven to be the overwhelming preference worldwide.  3D sales represent an astounding 81% of the total gross domestically and 77% internationally.  IMAX numbers are equally impressive, with an estimated $40 million domestically, and more than $12 million in 32 overseas markets.
Internationally, the film has enjoyed stellar openings in a number of key territories, including Cuarón’s native Mexico, as well as Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy and Korea. “Gravity” is also yet to open in several major markets, including France (today), the UK (November 8th), Japan (December 13th) and, as just announced, China, where it will be released on November 20th.
Fellman stated, “Alfonso Cuarón, together with his collaborators on both sides of the camera, crafted a magnificent film that is a creative and technological feat.  These terrific box office numbers are exceeding expectations every day as more and more people discover ‘Gravity’ for the first time or return to enjoy it again and again.”

Academy Award® winners Sandra Bullock (“The Blind Side”) and George Clooney (“Syriana”) star in “Gravity,” a heart-pounding thriller that pulls you into the infinite and unforgiving realm of deep space.  The film was directed by Oscar® nominee Alfonso Cuarón (“Children of Men”).
            Dr. Ryan Stone (Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski (Clooney) in command.  But on a seemingly routine mission, disaster strikes.  The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalski completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.  The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue.  As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. 
But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.
“Gravity” was written by Alfonso Cuarón & Jonás Cuarón, and produced by Alfonso Cuarón and David Heyman (the “Harry Potter” films).  Chris deFaria, Nikki Penny and Stephen Jones served as executive producers.
            The behind-the-scenes team includes multiple Oscar®-nominated director of photography Emmanuel Lubezki (“Children of Men,” “The New World”); production designer Andy Nicholson (art director “Alice in Wonderland”); editors Alfonso Cuarón and Mark Sanger (VFX editor “Children of Men”); and costume designer Jany Temime (the “Harry Potter” films).  The visual effects were handled by Oscar®-nominated visual effects supervisor Tim Webber (“The Dark Knight”).  The music was composed by Steven Price (“Attack the Block”).
            Warner Bros. Pictures Presents an Esperanto Filmoj/Heyday Films Production, an Alfonso Cuarón Film, “Gravity.”  The film is being released in 3D and 2D and IMAX®, and is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Mumbai, 22nd Oct, 2013:  Bollywood beauty, Sonal Chauhan, looked gorgeous as she walked the ramp in a gold and black ensemble from the collection titled ‘Siyah’ by designer duo AlpaReena at a recently concluded fashion event held in Jaipur.
The designs saw many hues of jewel colors which went well with the theme of the collection - ‘Urban contemporary’. Sonal Chauhan’s ghagra showcased the rich handicrafts in the form of antique zardozi combined with elements like Swarovski crystals for the hint of contemporary glamour. The designs were all underlined with Pearl embellishments adding the perfect touch of elegance for the modern bride.
Walking the ramp as a showstopper, Sonal Chauhan mentioned that,Each garment is timeless and unique and I loved them all.  

‘Siyah’, the collection designed by AlpaReena presents classic silhouettes fused with international trends inspired from the Turkish heritage with a contemporary twist for the modern bride. The designs have been interpreted through a fusion of intricate handcrafted embellishments and detailed tailoring inspired by exquisite art forms of traditional embroidery techniques, Swarovski crystals and delicate pearl embroidery juxtaposed on dramatic yet structured silhouettes with a subtle yet flamboyant flare. Use of delicate embellishments in the jewel shades of gold, silver, green, midnight blue and maroon were thrown in with black to exude richness.

The collection is replete with gowns, saris and ghagras teamed with peplum bustiers, halters and jackets. Silks, velvets, laces, nets, shimmery materials and brocades are used in abundance, while Cancan is used in good measure to give volume to the outfits. Overall, the collection is a fusion of captivating silhouettes, underlining AlpaReena’s stately sensuous style of modern classism.
Commenting about their inspiration for the designs of their collection ‘Siyah’, designer Alpa and Reena said, ‘Instead of a predictable colourful palette for bridal wear we have kept the look very modern. Our collection uses lots of delicate embellishments in  jewel shades of gold, silver, green, midnight blue and maroon which are set against a black background to give the perfect touch of worldly elegance.’
 The collection is not only a fusion of captivating silhouettes but also underlines AlpaReena’s style of modern classism which complements the modern women of today.

The movie is one of the awaited films of 2013 and the teaser has received a phenomenal response.

Dhoom 3 has garnered fans awaiting the release of the movie, way before the release of the trailer or its music

However, Aamir recently heard the music of the film and is really thrilled with the way it has turned out. The sound track is very high on energy and very catchy.

Aamir has regularly been inquiring on the final packaging of the song and also when will it be ready for launch.

He is keen to also use it as a caller tune. Aamir usually does not keep any caller tune.. However his excitement over the songs of Dhoom 3 is very high.

He is keen to share the music with everyone who reaches out to him and hence the idea of using it as a caller tune.

The sound track has impressed many people at YRF. The inhouse focus groups have given a thumbs up for each of the songs...

However when Aamir gives a nod, it signifies excellence.--

Sooper Se Ooper which is set to be Vir Das's first solo release, will have many scenes to match with the SRK starrer film Swades.

Just like how Sharukhan makes his journey from a city to a remote village, Sooper Se Ooper will also have Vir Das who commences his journey from a city to a small village in Rajasthan.

Vir Das who starts his journey from a train and later a bus, is very similar to SRK's Swades wherein the actor carries out his journey from a train and then the bus. However later we see SRK travelling through the village on a scooter, Vir Das goes one step ahead to travel across the Rajasthan village on a camel.

So we are expected to see a little glimpse of the scenes which were featured in Swades.

Sooper Se Ooper is set to be Vir Das's first ever solo film, which also casts a very interesting starcast of Kirti Kulhari, Gulshan Grover, Deepak Dobrial and Yash Ratanpal.

The film will release on 25th october.

Mumbai, October 22, 2013: Festival audiences were treated to a feast of exciting films on Day 6 of the 15th Mumbai Film Festival presented by Reliance Entertainment and organized by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI).

From El Sur directed by Victor Erice, Florian Rey’s Carmen, Yesterday Never Ends directed by Isabel Coixet and Costa Gavras’ Eden is West to Charles Chaplin’s The Floorwalker, Praveen Morchhale’s Barefoot to Goa and Axelle Ropert’s Miss and the doctors, Virgin Talkies by K.R Manoj among others ,the list of movies screened today was illustrious.

At noon, the Indian Popular Film screened was Baishe Srabon written and directed by Srijit Mukherji. The cast of this Bengali psychological thriller consists of Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee and Raima Sen. A detective struggles to find the killer who leaves verses from Bengali poems next to his victims. The critically acclaimed film received a boisterous round of applause from the audience.
Continuing his master class on 3D, Oscar Academy Member and Stereoscopic Department Head of Walt Disney Animation Studios Mr. Robert Neuman simplified further the complexities of 3D technology. His talk was followed by the Indian premiere of “The Little Mermaid 3D.”

The open forum panel discussion of Day 6 was on the much talked about topic of ‘Crowd Culture.’ Speakers Yogesh Karikurve, co-founder, Catapooolt, filmmaker Sarthak Dasgupta and Pawan Kumar who directed the crowd-funded film Lucia engaged in a truly revealing discussion on various facets of  crowd funding and crowd sourcing.

 "Crowd sourcing has two important C's in them. Community and Credibility. India does not have a state funding and that is where crowd funding comes into place" said Yogesh Karikurve, Co-founder of Catapooolt.

Director of the movie Lucia, Mr. Pawan Kumar added to the discussion saying  “I realized soon enough that my film Lucia was not going to get any producer. So, a lot of frustrated blogs and Facebook status messages helped me get followers who helped me make the movie. For Lucia, we gave people distribution links as a way of returning the money."

The evening screening of Canadian film Vic + Flow saw a packed screening, with attendance by representatives from various consulates and celebrity guests. The screening was preceded by a soiree, with invited guests in attendance.

Celebrities like Anant Jog, Ravi Jadhav, Swara Bhaskar, and others were seen attending the screen of Rege, directed by Abhijeet Panse.
