ENEMMY A thriller set against the backdrop of the battle between the Mumbai mafia and cops

ENEMMY

A thriller set against the backdrop of the battle between the Mumbai mafia and cops, Enemmy is the story of four intrepid CID officers (SunielShetty, Kay KayMenon, Johny Lever and Mahaakshay), who are entrusted with the responsibility of cracking down on the underworld and cleaning up the city by any and all means possible.
When the four cops initiate an investigation and manage to nab MukhtarMemon (ZakirHussain), a crime lord, everyone heaves a sigh of relief. However, the relief is short-lived and after a brief spell of peace, the gang wars start again, shocking everyone.
Deciding to up the ante, the dynamic political leader R.G, who had unleashed the CID sleuths, sends in a CBI officer (MithunChakraborty) to Mumbai to get to the bottom of things. However, what the officer discovers is that the gang-war is merely a façade to find out about a heist, in which two truckloads of hard cash were stolen from Memon, who will stop at nothing to get his money back.
The question is…who is crazy enough to steal from the king of the city underworld? Thus begins a cat-and-mouse game between the characters of the film that keeps the story line interesting right to the logical end of the film.

When director Susi Ganesh wanted Neil to play the lead in his film ‘Shortcut Romeo

Neil makes sketches before changing his look

When director Susi Ganesh wanted Neil to play the lead in his film ‘Shortcut Romeo’ his first instruction to the actor was that he wanted him to sport long hair in the film.  Neil being a fine artist made sketches of his look with the long hair for the director’s approval and then zeroed in on the final look for the film.
Director Susi Ganesh says “I wanted him to have long hair for the role so we asked him to wear a wig. He loved the look but said that instead of a wig he would grow his hair naturally long. He took all the trouble to grow his mane and he looked very different. We loved the look with the long hair and decided to go in with the look for the character.”
Susi concludes, “Whoever has seen Neil in this look have appreciated him and Neil is also thrilled with his new look in the film”.
‘Shortcut Romeo' is a  remake of Susi Ganesh's super hit Tamil film 'Thiruttu Payale'. The film also features Ameesha Patel and Puja Gupta and is slated to release on 21st June, 2013.

Susi Ganesh's 'Shortcut Romeo' was premiered at Cannes Film Festival in the non-competition section.
