War comedy makes Soha and Sharman beat the heat with sports!

Soha Ali Khan, Sharman Joshi and Javed Jaffery are shooting in Bikaner for their upcoming film ‘War Chhod Na Yaar’ India’s first war comedy. The shoot is under the blazing sun but instead of complaining about the heat, the actors are beating the heat by playing their favourite sports in their free time. 

The trio loves playing games like Cricket and Volley Ball. Talking about shooting in the hot weather Soha says, “This is like a mad crew, we have been shooting so hard in sweltering heat yet they have so much energy that whenever there is half a day off, everyone just goes insane.”

She adds, “We were shooting all night day before yesterday and then we had a day off which was utilized well. We played a lot of sports and then there was nonstop dancing and merriment of all kinds. We are having fun in this sweltering heat also.”

Madhuri Dixit in Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ plays the role of Begum Para and has recreated the nawaabi charm and 'ada'. Madhuri will be seen performing Mujra on a song titled ‘Apke karar mein’ which is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

Commenting on the song, producer Ketan Maru says, “The song is ready and we will be shooting for it after we’re done filming the entire movie. I can’t reveal much but I’ll say that it is a very elaborate number which will be shot on a big set.”

Dedh Ishqiya features  Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Huma Qureshi. The film is produced by Vishal Bhardwaj and co-produced by Shemaroo Entertainment.

To have the perfect look on the D-day, Ameesha has teamed up with Manish Malhotra and plans to have a desi look.

Commenting on her preparations for Cannes, Ameesha says, “It is a huge honor for me to be representing our cinema at Cannes. I am not going there as a brand ambassador. I am going there for my movie and that is a big deal. Manish and I have decided that since I am representing the country on a global platform, it would be perfect to be dressed in something that’s truly desi. Nothing looks better on an Indian woman than a sari or lehenga. I have to walk the red carpet in the morning and the premiere is at night, so there will be two outfits.”

Talking about Ameesha’s look, Manish says, “Keeping in mind Ameesha’s complexion and personality, we have given her something very Indian, yet red carpetish. Black and white, being classic colours, have been incorporated in her outfit that is high on Kashmiri and Chikankari work. We have also kept in mind the summer trends internationally.”
