Nissan X-Trail awarded best Large SUV by Women’s World Car of the Year 2023

PARIS, France (20 February) – The jury of the Women’s World Car of the Year 

(WWCOTY) 2023 has awarded Nissan X-Trail the title of Best Large SUV 2023 for 

its thirteenth edition.

WWCOTY, the only international award made up exclusively of women automotive

journalists, praised the new X-Trail for its spaciousness, effortless driving 

performance and electrified powertrain, e-POWER. 

Speaking about the accolade, Makoto Uchida, Nissan’s CEO, said:“We are

Built on the Alliance CMF-C platform, the new X-Trail boasts of muscular design 

and advanced technologies offering effortless EV drive feeling thanks to e-POWER 

technology together with a twin-motor e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system. The new 

X-Trail is available as a five- or seven-seater, offering a convenient option for days 

out with extended family or friends. As an electrified seven-seater SUV, it is unique

in its segment.

e-POWER is Nissan’s innovative drive system that offers an EV-drive feeling 

without the need to recharge. The new X-Trail's e-POWER system is comprised of 

a high-output battery and powertrain integrated with a variable compression ratio 

petrol engine, power generator, inverter and 150kW front electric motor. This 

unique powertrain means that power to the wheels comes only from an electric 

motor, which results in instant, linear response to the accelerator.

The X-Trail is one of Nissan’s most successful global vehicles, with sales in over 

100 markets and has been enabling family adventures for over 20 years. fourth generation X-Trail draws from a well-established DNA that runs through all

three of the previous generations of X-Trail.

As a consequence of it being awarded Best Large SUV, the X-Trail has been

shortlisted for the highest award of the WWCOTY, Best Car of the Year 2023, to

17th February 2023….As a step to realise its vision to make the Indian pulses and grains sector globally competitive and advance India’s food and nutrition security, India Pulses and Grains Association (IPGA) inaugurated its 3-day mega global seminar ‘The Pulses Conclave 2023’ in Mumbai.

 

The participation was witnessed from key stakeholders from around the world including promotional agencies, research scientists, food technologists, processing companies, value chain participants, service providers and related others are expected to congregate on a single platform to discuss in-depth current status, future trends, trade policies, sustainability and technological advances in this vital sector. 

Bimal Kothari, Chairman, of India Pulses and Grains Association, said, “We must focus on exploring multiple technologies to focus on a better and sustainable yield. As we can witness a rise in incomes there is a simultaneous rise in demand for commodities as well. For promoting a better trade of staple diet cereals like pulses we need to promote sustainable policies. The pulses industry provides end number of opportunities through boosted demands and consumption. At IPGA we advocate free trade policy for better import and export of pulses. IPGA is committed to work with the policy makers for designing growth-oriented policies. Participation of next Zen start-ups and agriprenures are the highlight of this conclave”. 

P. K. Singh, Agriculture Commissioner, Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, “Indian agriculture industry is well versed to have a fantastic production in the coming time. Our estimates say we had a production of 26.69 million tons of Pulses in 2021-22. In India almost one-third of the population is vegetarian and they are heavily dependent on pulses for fulfilling their protein requirements.  Even for the non-vegetarian population, pulses form a major part in their daily diet. Thus pulses become highly essential in production as good consumption on daily basis”.

Rohit Kumar Singh, IAS, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, said, “As policymakers, it has been our priority to maintain a balance through better trade policies between the interest of consumers and producers. India’s pulses production has been growing up with time. It is important to have a consistent policy to protect consumer interests and ensure transparency in terms of trade policies”.

Hon’ble David Marit, Minister of Agriculture, Saskatchewan Province, Canada, said, “Sustainability is the largest focus for crop production for our government and industry. Pulses occupy 16 percent from the total production in 2021. Canada’s net carbon production is 50 percent lower than global competitors. We are pleased to see India providing guidance regarding stability in the marketplace that benefits everyone. It is great to see Canada and India officially relaunch negotiations towards comprehensive trade agreements last year. This will lead towards mutually signed agreements towards aiming benefits and sustainability”.  

 

The Pulses Conclave 2023 showcased the latest products, processes and equipment, bringing together several hundred delegates from over 20 countries to create a grand knowledge-sharing and networking opportunity 

Hon’ble Mr. David Marit, Minister of Agriculture in Canada’s Saskatchewan province actively participated in the Conclave along with his delegation. In addition, there was a large number of consular corps from different countries with which India trades. 

TPC 2023 attracted stakeholders across the entire value chain including large Processors, branded Players, trading houses, trade Intermediaries Exporters, Importers, as well as service providers like Indenters, Warehousing Companies, Custom House Agents, Shipping Companies, and so on. We believe, value-added products from Pulses have an exponential growth potential that can be harnessed in India, and it will go a long way to deliver twin benefits of augmenting farmers’ income and advancing nutrition security. In addition to being the staple food for many, Pulses find application in the food processing industry in making soups, sauces, bakery products, meals, snacks and confectionery products for health-conscious consumers. Healthy ready-to-eat plant-based gluten-free snack foods are becoming increasingly popular with consumers in the country. An important subject for discussion at the Conclave was plant-based food products from pulses as it is an emerging sector having the potential to grow exponentially.

TPC 2023 is the 6th edition of the unique biennial event and is themed ‘Sustainability of Pulses Sector’ as its major focus is to tackle the adverse effects of climate change on pulses and grains production. TPC 2023 endeavours to foster healthy relations among Indian market participants and between India and all associates overseas.

‘स्फोट’ सारथी.एआई की वर्षगांठ मनाने के लिए प्रतिवर्ष आयोजित होने वाला एक दिवसीय कार्यक्रम है, जिसमें दिलचस्प विचारों का आदान-प्रदान और सार्थक चर्चाएँ होती हैं जो समुदाय और इसके हितधारकों को शिक्षित और प्रेरित करती हैं

मुंबई, 1 फरवरी 2023 : अपने नाम की उत्पत्ति को सार्थक बनाते हुए संस्कृत शब्द ‘स्फट’, जिसका अर्थ है ‘फटना’ या विस्फोट करना ‘एसपीएचओटी’ (स्फोट) सचमुच दिलचस्प विचारों का एक विस्फोट या धमाका है और भारतीय भाषाओं और संचार प्रौद्योगिकी के संपूर्ण कार्यक्षेत्र और परिवेश में नवीनतम अनुसंधान और वास्तविक दुनिया में कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (एआई) के अर्थपूर्ण अनुप्रयोगों का उत्सव है।

इस एक दिवसीय सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन तमिलनाडु के आईटी मंत्री श्री मनो थंगराज द्वारा किया जाएगा। आईआईटी पटना और आईआईटी खड़गपुर जैसे संस्थानों के प्रमुख शोधकर्ताओं के अलावा, बीएफएसआई इंडस्ट्री जैसे कि फुलर्टन, क्रेडिटबी, और इन्हीं जैसे उद्यमों के ख्यातिप्राप्त चीफ एक्सपीरियंस आफिसर्स (सीएक्सओज) और बिजनेस लीडर्स इस कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करेंगे। 

व्यवसाय की दुनिया से जुड़े 200 से अधिक वरिष्ठ कार्यकारी अधिकारियों ने इस आयोजन में अपनी उपस्थिति की पुष्टि की है।

इस आयोजन का मुख्य आकर्षण प्रमुख संचार एआई प्लेटफॉर्म प्रविद-सारथी का एक विशेष उत्पाद लॉन्च होगा जो उद्यमों के उन तमाम तौर-तरीकों को तितर-बितर कर देगा जिसके माध्यम से वे अपने उपयोगकर्ताओं के साथ संवाद करते हैं।

एसपीओटी का दूसरा संस्करण ’कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (एआई) के जरिये भारत क्रांति का सशक्तिकरण’ विषय पर केंद्रित है, विशेष रूप से इस बात पर कि प्रौद्योगिकी को किस प्रकार और अधिक समावेशी बनाया जा रहा है। इसके विभिन्न पहलुओं में से एक यह है कि इसमें स्थानीय भारतीय भाषाओं में बड़े पैमाने पर बाजार प्रौद्योगिकियों का निर्माण शामिल है ताकि ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में रह रहे लोग प्रौद्योगिकी और सेवाओं का आसानी से लाभ उठा सकें।

तमिलनाडु के माननीय आईटी मंत्री और स्फोट’23 में सम्मानित अतिथि श्री मनो थंगराज कहते हैं, “हम मानते हैं कि चाहे हमारी संस्कृति हो या तकनीक हम सब कुछ आसानी से सीख सकते हैं और इसे सीखने का सबसे अच्छा तरीका हमारी मातृभाषा है।”

पिछले साल आयोजित स्फोट के पहले संस्करण को 18 से अधिक वक्ताओं ने संबोधित किया जिसमें 300 से अधिक गणमान्य लोगों की उपस्थित रही तथा 16 से अधिक व्यावहारिक सत्रों का आयोजन किया गया। इस वर्ष, इस कार्यक्रम में ‘भाषा, अस्तित्व और अनुभूति : एक आकर्षक अन्योन्यक्रिया’, ‘ऋण निर्णयों की गति और सटीकता में सुधार में संचार एआई की भूमिका’, ‘बीएफएसआई में वॉयस एआई : अतीत, वर्तमान और भविष्य’, ‘आदिवासी भाषाएँ-दस्तावेज़ीकरण, भाषा पर खतरे का मुद्दा, भाषा अधिकार, नीति और योजना’, ‘अपनी विरासत प्रक्रिया में वॉयस एआई को एकीकृत करना : चुनौतियाँ और लाभ’ आदि जैसे प्रमुख विषयों पर अकादमिक संबोधन और चर्चाएँ होंगी। 

स्फोट 2023 में अन्य लोगों के अलावा नितिन अग्रवाल (फुलर्टन), बोर्निनी लाहिरी (आईआईटी खड़गपुर), शिवकुमार नंदीपति (फेडफिना), जवार सिंह (आईआईटी, पटना) जैसे प्रख्यात वक्ता शामिल होंगे।
