Pulkit Samrat is all set for the release of Bangistan. Recently the team of Bangistan had released a few songs from the film. And ever since, Pulkit Samrat has been talking about the music composer Ram Sampath and singer Sona Mohapatra for delivering excellent music. The songs in the movies are superb and there is no doubt about that.

Aamir meets the Phogat sisters

Aamir Khan had two special visitors last week. Babita and Geeta Phoghat, daughters of wrestler Mahavir Phoghat, flew down to the city from Haryana to meet the actor. Aamir’s much awaited upcoming biopic is based on their father’s life- Mahavir Phoghat.

Spokesperson confirms the news and adds, “Aamir was very keen to meet them, and all of their schedules finally matched. So the girls came down to Mumbai. Aamir was a gracious host and ensured that they were taken care of. It was an emotional meeting for the trio. They discussed Mahavir’s life, what he had taught the girls, and more.”

Aamir wanted to meet Babita and Geeta primarily to know more about their dad. The spokesperson further adds, “He wants to understand his personality before starting to shoot for the film. The trio had a long conversation, where the girls provided him with insight into their own respective journeys and their lifestyle back home. They stayed in the city for a couple of days and are excited to see how the film will turn out,”  

Mantra 2 to hit theatres across India on 31st July

The Second edition of the hit horror franchise, Mantra 2 is all geared up to release across India on 31^st July, 2015 and is being released in north India by Impossible Films Pvt. Ltd. Mantra 2 directed by debutant SV Suresh starring Charmi Kaur in lead role. Though a classic concept and full of visual energy of displaying a unique figure of pixels could had been a milestone of a Movie, but Director Chris Columbus invested his creativity more on perfect special effects, full-size action and a inspiring craftsmanship which could have worked otherwise if the script and the characterization would had been meticulous enough to be engaging and significant to appeal the Genre of ‘save the earth from aliens’ kind of film which really fails on getting the interest rolling from first frame.

The film is based on a very innovative concept of the famous arcade games of 80’s as the extraterrestrials misinterpreting video-feeds as a declaration of war, and invading Earth using technology inspired by such more games.

Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), Will Cooper (Kevin James), Ludlow Lamonsoff (Josh Gad), and Eddie "The Fire Blaster" Plant (Peter Dinklage) all of them being genius in playing the video games since their childhoods are now prearranged to save the world by fighting live to defeat the aliens, as they have been doing this thousands of times at the video arcades.

The big money you pay for the ticket is only a value when you hear the association of the world famous song in background "We Will Rock You" by Queen of his 1977 album News of the World.

Mahira Khan's Bin Roye is all set to release on 7th August

After the Smashing Overseas Box office success Mahira Khan starrer Bin Roye  is now all set to release on 7^thAugust 2015 in India.

The makers of the film, had decided to reschedule the release considering the clash with Salman Khan’s Bajraani Bhaijaan and the overwhelming response received by Bahubaali, however the movie will now be releasing on 7^thAugust 2015 in cinemas.

The movie also stars Armeena Rana Khan and the evergreen Humayun Saeed in lead roles. Bin Roye, a Shahzad Kashmiri and Momina Duraid directorial, is a saga of obsession in love that develops jealousy and rivalry between two girls for one perfect match. It is a story that can be best described as a tragic beauty.

Sidharth Malhotra wishes to visit Pakistan

Young actor, Sidharth Malhotra is having a great time shooting for his film, Kapoor & Sons with Alia Bhatt and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.

On sets, the two often talk about the places and the culture in India as well as Pakistan.

While Fawad has seen India to an extent while shooting & promoting his earlier films, Sidharth has only heard and seen pictures of Pakistan.

Fawad has spoken to him extensively about the places in Pakistan, their culture etc.

So much so, that Sidharth wants to visit his co-star’s country whenever possible.

The actor is currently in the midst of promoting his upcoming next film, Brothers and also shooting for his film Kapoor & Sons.

Vinod Khanna to play Buddha in Amrapali!

Director Atul Garg has roped in senior star Vinod Khanna to play Buddha in his film, Amrapali, that went on the floors recently. The filmmaker shares that it was the veteran actor’s personality and spiritual background that made him the first choice. “Vinodji has the rare combination of a regal aura and a calm demeanor that can only come with a background of practicing meditation and having a spiritual thought process. There is no actor who would not want to play the role of Buddha, but Vinodji was perfect for the role. It would take any other actor months to prepare and attain the calm and meditative state, but it would be easier for Vinodji as he is already into vipassana. His spiritual background and awareness because of all the time he spent with Jiddu Krishnamurti and Osho makes it easy for him to get into the character. Only a seeker of truth can understand Buddha's philosophy,” explains Garg. The director adds that the star was equally excited about the subject when he sent him the script in March and he is well aware of the philosophies too. They will start shooting sometime early next month. “I'll need to shoot with Vinodji for at least a month,” says the director. Talking about the film, Garg shares that unlike Lekh Tandon's 1966 Sunil Dutt-Vyjayanthimala starrer, Amrapali, which was primarily a love story, this film is a social commentary on an era when Buddha ruled as a spiritual king. “It is not Amrapali’s story, but a story about Amrapali’s time,” he adds.

Newbie Jinal Pandya will be playing the `bride of Vaishali' Amrapali, who mesmerised several royals with her beauty but was herself so influenced by Buddha after serving him a meal that she renounced her position as state courtesan to become his active supporter.

The year 2015 has been a prosperous year for the Entertainment industry and the month of July has been an unprecedented season for the box office with multiple films doing well. 

The film's have also managed to make and break a few records, some with their content and some with their uniqueness.

Not only have the films been commercially successful, but the content has been universally appreciated too.

This has created a bottleneck at the box office and rather than clogging it further, the makers of Bangistan have decided to shift their release date to August 7, which gives it a much better release environment. 

The film has been buzzing positively and it would much rather utilise a solo release date.

Says co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani, “Last few releases are rocking the box office collections, which is great for our industry and since our film is tracking well, my distribution team strongly believes that releasing Bangistan on August 7 will be beneficial for our film.“

The actress was completely shattered by the loss of her dog and decided to channel that energy into something positive - Esha Gupta has decided to open a fund in her dog's name,proceeds of which will go towards the betterment of animal shelters.

Says a source, " Esha is in talks with a few animal shelters in south bombay. She will be opening a fund in the name of her late pet and the money generated will be donated to needy animal shelters for better accommodation and food for the dogs sheltered there.

Shamita Shetty performs on dance reality show despite nose injury !

Shamita Shetty who is one of the most popular contestants on dance reality show, Jhalak Dikkhala Ja Reloaded, recently met with an injury during the rehearsals of her routine .The actress,however, has decided to go on with her performance, so as to not let down her fans.

Shamita recently injured her nasal bone during rehearsals and was bleeding profusely from the cut on the dorsum of the nose. She was diagnosed with a nasal bone fracture and also had to have a couple of stitches.

Though the doctor has advised Shamita complete best rest for 2 weeks to allow proper healing, she is continuing to perform despite injury as she does not want to upset her supporters.

She feels that film industry is like her first home and specially after her parents expired she opened up more emotionally and professionally as a person. She has started a revolution and rage in journalism by focusing on movies based on crime journalism . This has boosted the confidence of Indian Journalists who are the real Heroes of the society. She has already Produced 11 South films and one Bollywood film till date.Now she is all set to Direct Hollywood,Bollywood and regional films starting with Red and then followed by J Returns,Megacorp and Mid Dey.

The rising star Antara Banerjee’s journey from TV to films

A bubbly, enthusiastic and full of energy girl from Kolkata, Antara Banerjee is a complete go-getter. Antara dreams of becoming a successful actor and making big in Bollywood.

Through a career that has seen a steady trickle of few cameos in Hindi films, but none that particularly nailed her as a big-star - Antara is as real as a Mumbai matinee girl can get. Antara’s personal compass seems to have led her into a comfortable work-life space.

On the work-front, she’s exploring Hindi cinema - her first Hindi film by DLB Productions will portray her as lead actress opposite actor Ashutosh Kaushik. The film which is recently being shot at Jaipur, Amritsar and Mumbai, will be released soon. Antara is all excited to bag the dream role of her life. “This is the first film where I will be playing the lead role. She is a media person and a true Indian, exploring the various facets of India. It’s a patriotic film, portraying what it takes to enhance the image of our country on an international map,” narrates Antara.     

A Bengali girl belonging to a humble family background from Kolkata came to Mumbai few years back. “It was my passion to become an actress which brought me to the city of dreams. To pursue my ambition of becoming an actress, I had to leave school post-grade 12,” says Antara.

The only daughter of Subrata and Atasi Banerjee, Antara shifted to Mumbai in 2013 and started pursuing her BSW (Bachelor in Social Work) from Nirmala Niketan College. But her long-hours of shooting for TV serials left her with no time to pursue her studies. However, her strong belief of continuing education opened-up several avenues. Antara is currently pursuing her correspondence course in English Literature from IGNOU.

After doing cameos in Akshay kumar starring movie, ‘Shaukeen’ and a few ad commercials, Antara burst onto the small screen in Balaji Telefilm’s teenage crime show, ‘Gumrah’, Life OK’s ‘Savadhaan India’, Franklin Production’s fictional shows and many more. Antara had also taken up modeling assignments for TVC brands in the past.

Known as a perfect sporty go-getter, Antara believes that eventually, the winner takes it all. “Don’t think too much about what is happening to you. Work hard, give it your best shot. Do the job you like, enjoy your life but never give up your work. If work is fun, if your days are passing quickly, you must be happy, right?” says the chirpy Antara.

Besides acting, Antara loves to sing and dance. A kathak dancer for the past 15 years Antara has done several stage-shows in Kolkata. Antara has also learned classical singing. Antara believes that such hobbies keeps you happy and glowing all the time.

The film’s team has adopted a new technique for the film. While usually makers cut promos from the film itself, Nikhil Advani has especially shot with Imran and Kangana  for a couple of promos.

Not just that, these promos have released exclusively on the digital platform.

The promos were made keeping in mind the plot of the film and explaining the concept of Katti Batti.

Nikhil Advani says, “The digital space is consistently growing and so the idea of investing in shooting of the promos especially for this space was a fruitful one.”

He further added, “Majority of the people today consume information online.”

Sonam goes on a digital detox !

Sonam Kapoor who loves traveling and is quite the adventure junkie, has all this while not had the time to explore her hobby thanks to her choc-o-bloc schedule. 

The actress however, recently went back packing for a week in Ladakh, where she visited the old monasteries and interacted with the locals.

Most interestingly , Sonam who loves interacting with her friends and fans on social media, decided to take a digital detox and backpacked across Ladakh minus her phone.She now plans to travel to Cambodia (south East Asia)in 2 months. 

Says a source, " Sonam wanted to unwind and backpack across Ladakh as that's something she wanted to do for the longest time. As soon as she found an open window she packed her bags and headed up north.She also decided to go on a digital detox and kept herself away from all kinds of technology including her ipad and phone.The next trip on her to-do list is Cambodia, which she plans to travel to in 2 months."
